When this case first broke to the media JS was on NG and she was furious about how the local LE in Bmore did not react in a timely manner. She spoke about how they tried to say that PB had ran away, and how she fought to make them understand that she was not a runaway. JS was very upset with Bmore LE. Then in later interviews that she gave to Peas and others she began to say that she was satisfied with the media coverage, and then she just disappeared, and PB had no voice.

This was the most puzzliing thing to me, because I was very impressed with how JS spoke and handled herself when I saw her. I even told my sister that PB's mom is no joke, she reminded me of NH's mom. I thought that this was going to FINALLY be a case of a missing BLACK CHILD with the proper media attention and a mother that would work the media the same way that other WHITE missing children parents do. Yet to my surprise that did not happen?

I know that JS had to move with her family and was not well, however someone from her family like SS (or JS's husband) should have then stepped up and became the spokes person. Just like NH when you didn't see her mother you saw her father. JS really needs to come on NG and HLN regularly. Put the pressure back on the POI's name them all, show their faces. Put the pressure back on the LE let the world know who's doing what and who's not. Put the pressure on her Bmore family like she did in the beginning. JS appears to be a smart and strong woman yet lately things are just not adding up?

Since we can't get the right answers out of DB, KB, RB, and others the public really needs to hear more from JS and SS. Also when JS was on Peas she did not appear to be her strong self, she said that she was medicated and maybe thats why she seemed out of it. Someone close to her needs to help her get back to the strong mother for PB's sake and work the media, because the pressure from the media always makes someone sing. It may be too late for LE to get the evidence that was at the actual crime scene, but someone has a memory and can definitely give an accurate account with enough details to bring about some type of charges and find PB?

Unfortunately, PM's family in B'more seems more concerned with protecting the adult siblings than with pushing for the truth.

I fear that many of the young people of today do not have the conscious that we tend to attribute to them...PB's disappearance is not keeping them up at night, they way we hope. They simply move on with their own lives.

There are many mothers in the world, who are VERY tough by nature. Many mothers who have to be the protectors for their family. Some have to be the bread winner, the doc/nurse, teacher etc. Some mothers have to do it all. There-fore, it molds a mother into being a tenacious-tiger-mom (I like that term). A tenacious-tiger-mom indeed, yet, when someone is snatched away from you that you have raised, protected, invested in and deeply/unconditionally love; it's life draining to the soul itself. The heart is weakened quickly and the mind goes into overload. The body begins to break down of energy and sanity becomes into question.

Quiet moments are needed, space is needed, survival mode automatically kicks in. This kind of pain is like taking a bullet to the heart. JS probably wouldn't feel comfortable in allowing (SS) to speak msm. JS has to continue to protect her children harder than ever before. I'm certain she feel betrayed and deceived and then some. She probably doesn't want to trust anyone anymore and might even be a lil upset with herself at times. She needs this time to spend with God, just she and he imo. I'm not saying this is indeed what JS is going through. I can only imagine. I pray that God will regain JS's strength day by day, as we know God will do this and I see JS allowing God to heal her soul and give her heart more strength.

For now, All the mother's and lady's who care, All the Godly people located in Bmore (the heart of this matter and situation), be JS's strength over on Bmores end. Let's all keep doing our part; even if mistakes were made from the beginning. Bmore, don't let them youngsters run BMORE, then laugh in your faces. I'm still reading their tweets. All the men who care, also be JS's strength!!! I know JS and PB are worthy. No matter the out-come, don't...let...those...youngsters...win. They're not going to win regardless because God is victory. We have a duty though. The criminals took away one of our children; one of God's children and we neeeed that child back. I would hope that rescheduling the NG appearance was an offer available to JS.

Personally, I feel that JS may have been "hushed" by people who didn't appreciate her airing out the facts of the drug and alcohol use at db's place, and the men in and out of the apartment. This is just my opinion, of course.

But if you will note, once JS spoke on that and her disappointment with the Baltimore PD, it seems like we heard less and less from her.

In fact, it's been reported, and I've posted previously that rb had "denounced" JS, as a result of her voicing outrage to the media about the environment that db had PB in. Also, it's been reported that rb did not allow JS to speak with db and told mj to "stay away."

These are facts that cannot be poo-pooed away.

In the comment section of a certain CBS/Baltimore online news story about PB, there was a b family member bashing JS. It's still there for anyone who cares to see.

Add me to the list of people who was impressed and encouraged by JS's tenacity and fury at the beginning of PB's disappearance.

She was taking names and kicking dragon!

I believe that these matters have had a horrible effect on JS's health, but I also wish that someone would be strong on her behalf.

I too remember JS calling spades spades. She wasn't concerned bout ANYTHING but her daughter. As it should be. All these other people, they are alive in the light of day. I don't see how anyone needs to be treated with kid gloves. Everyone who is innocent, bare your souls and tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Lay it out for the sun to see.

I stand in prayer also, for JS to regain the strength that she will need in the coming times, also praying for her family members and friends of PB.

God is able and He certainly already has the Victory. There's no need for the crafty, subtle ones to get comfortable. It is just a matter of when and not if they are brought to justice.

Some serious ranting going on but in the midst of chaos, I see a post from Monday, 03/28/11,by Mi. Ad.

Yes, this is the same person doing some MAJOR ranting which is unsubstantiated, but this particular post
is most illuminating. Basically, Mi. Ad. copy/pasted a convo that was on the Prayer of PB FB page. It is a very
upsetting read, and casts a purifying light on how the Bmore b fam really feels about people asking about JS.
It's time stamped, I remember reading it while it was on the page, and I may have the actual screen cap of the prayer page

I agree the piece is fraught with inaccuracies in the details, like saying she went missing before Christmas, and yes, the show used PB as an audience generating mechanism. However, I want everyone to pick up PB's story, and run it, to keep it out there and keep the pressure on the POI's. I was glad to see that she was on this show, because the more shows that pick her up, the more pressure will be generated. That's one of the reasons I posted it here. I want the POI's to know that media their friends and family might be listening to is focusing on this case. The truth will out.

What I did think was good about this piece was the focus on the kind of vital information that was lost in those early first days. Most of the focus on the delay has been on WHY the delay occurred (Because PB is African American) and who is responsible, instead of on what was lost in the process. There's been so much blame shifting (it's the national media's fault, no, it's the family's fault, no, it's the POI's fault...) that the media sometimes loses focus that regardless of the fault, the result are tragic, and we need to learn an important lesson from this. That could be PB's legacy, perhaps.

I have to respectfully disagree with regards to the DJ's show benefiting PB's case in any way shape or form. Misinformation about ANY case can be and is often detrimental to the effectiveness of LE's ability to work on solve a case. These (word I can't say on WS) DJ's putting information out to the public that PB went missing before Christmas very well may bog LE down with useless information and leads wasting precious time and tax payer dollars. It does nothing to help or support the family. Heck they had their info so mixed up it appears as if PB's boyfriend was the last to see her. The information put out by the dj's makes me want to uke:

Amen! One of my fears, and I have not verbalized this yet but will do so now, is because the Barnes family has a family member working in BPD the family alliance has shut JS out. I pray that is NOT the case and the Barnes family 'mans up' because in reality the Barnes family was completely absent from MOST of PB's life. It's almost like they are trying to make up for lost time. However the person CLOSEST to PB is no doubt JS and regardless of past personal issues between these families the time is now to put their personal issues aside and put PB FIRST. That includes putting any negative or angry, hurt feelings towards JS aside. Phylicia deserves NO less.

Absolutely; because inside out or outside in, no matter how you view the (behavior) of certain family members on either side; it's like, everyone wants to have the control, to the point at times the bickering can kind of look embarrassing imo because that crap is taking time away from PB being located. I would have to come to the conclusion of this type of behavior, to be (extremely) negative in regards to assisting PB's case in moving forward in a speedier amount of time, while facts are being with-held from some.

I was (almost) floored when I read a comment by someone, stating that JS was public enemy number 1 because JS told the world about the activity she was told, had been taking place in the apt. JS was told this from the person who we know for a fact (name was on the apt lease). What was she to do? Did they really think JS as a mother, whose child is missing, was suppose to step back and say, "okay, I won't mention that. I know it might get you into trouble. So, I will put my missing daughter second and put you all first"??? After reading that comment, I said only someone young minded and (extremely) selfish would have that type of mentality and if they have that type of mentality, they do not need to have children or be the guardians of anyone else children either.

The guilty people are so close by, you can almost feel them. Just a matter of time....

I was fortunate in that the example my parents set for me was not only to get along but to have family dinners on Sunday and lived only a few blocks apart allowing my siblings and I to visit BOTH parents whenever we wished. I never realized that was a rarity until I became an adult.

Part of Christianity is forgiving and demonstrating Christlike behavior. Without going into a big long discussion on Christianity, imo JS already demonstrated the 'olive branch' when she approached the Barnes family to reunite her daughter with that side of the family. I have not seen any external evidence of the Barnes family showing and demonstrating Christlike reciprocation in demonstrating that same Unity they wish to portray on the Pray for PB FB page. At minimum it is 'distracting' to PB's case and my wish, if for everyone to put that 'nonsense' aside for PB. She really does deserve no less. My heart is just breaking and has been broken that JS appears - at least externally - to have been ostracized or excluded.

I still don't understand why the media continues to give all this attention to the Barnes family and not JS and her family in NC and ATL. I know that PB disappeared in Bmore but her mother should still be the voice and one that the media focuses on. Just as NH disappeared in Aruba, the media still kept her mother and father faces out there as a voice for their daughter.

I used to check the find PB page daily but it got so one sided and the Barnes family acted like they were the untouchable and holy ones, so I stopped.

Still I am not understanding why NG doesn't do more, even though JS and the Barnes are not getting along. Most of the cases that NG does the family is always fighting amongst each other. Something is missing in this case and I just can't figure it out? I even tried looking at more ATL media blogs to see if JS was there? CNN needs to pick this one back up and start interviewing JS and her family so that the public can have more information on what really happen and not this cover up story that the Barnes family keeps feeding us.

I will start praying for JS's strength and courage.

I agree with you Cluciano--IF there were named persons then the pressure would be more to find those named guilty or innocent. This case is so frustrating as there are so many possible suspects. And the familiarity within that group. I am astounded that this has not been solved yet. Even if there is only 1 person directly related to her disappearance surely others involved can figure out what makes sense, is plausible, and other facts that just don't add up. Does a person's life not matter as much as covering your, or your brother's or cousin's behind in this family?

NG doesn't need anyone to name POI's she can do it herself. Thats what her show is about figuring out crimes. Most of the time her imput is so one sided and bias from a total defensive lawyers point of view. Thats why I can't understand why she hasn't jumped all over this case and carried on with it for months like she does other cases where there is so little evidence.

She covered the Casey case for months until they finally found enough evidence to charge her mother. Also the other missing little girl with the young father and stepmother, she covered that case and continues to cover both of these cases like they are her children, yet she didn't have much to go on. She accused everyone in the entire family from the stepmother to the father to the cousin, brother everyone. She kept going until LE even set up the stepmother with a drug bus. Why can't she do this for PB????? If she keeps reporting about the POI's they won't be able to take the pressure. They will slip up. Just like they kept the pressure on Joran Van Der Sloot they followed him everywhere for over 6 years. Until he finally slipped up and killed someone else, they never stopped hounding him with media coverage. Why is PB's case not worth this same attention???????

Hate to say this, but I think people lose interest in a case when it appears that someone connected to the victim is probably guilty, especially a case where a lot of young people were "hanging out" in an apartment that has the appearance of a "crash pad." If there is not a direct threat to the public (or the public does not perceive one, anyway) they move on. In some minds, it is more or less "solved" even if no charges and no P. We don't really hear much about Susan Powell or Stacy Peterson anymore. It's like, they are gone, but since we "know" who did it, people are not so interested. Excluding WS' ers and family and friends of course.

Still, I wish P's family would pressure NG. There are not too many other outlets.

I remember that as well - and posted that she seemed like another Beth Holloway at that time. And that was how to keep your child's name in MSM. I do think she is heartbroken and the way she has been treated by the B family has surely added insult to injury...

It also deeply saddens me to see how externally, it appears that JS is being ostracized.

The b fam has to know that at this critical time, perception is EVERYTHING. Presenting a unified front would be ever so helpful in finding PB.

It makes one wonder...

I really like the analogy of JS sending PB to connect with the b fam as an "olive branch."
Surely, she could have never imagined that her gesture of goodwill and trust would be so misplaced.

In terms of being a Christian, I fear that far too many people who view that FB prayer page for PB will get the wrong idea of just what a Christian is and does.

I felt concerned, while reading a post on the prayer page, when one of the family members asked everyone to send them direct mails of any comments PB may have commented on (on FB) or of any information someone may have. (not quoted).

I felt uncomfortable because that information should go directly to the tip line or LE. We truly do not know who is truly being helpful or who is trying to protect the guilty party.

When I saw that, it bothered me, but I wasn't sure why. Thanks for pinpointing it.


The more I think about it, the more I believe that we need to know what PB said to her sister, SS, on the 27th. I think there are a lot of clues there, as to what happened and who was involved, on the 28th.
