Hope no one minds if I put my :twocents: into this. I believe there was a lot of jealousy toward Phylicia. She was beautiful, a class act, smart, great personality, outgoing and a girl with a future. Headed for college.

In spite of everything, I think members of her paternal family resented her for all she was and all they were not. I believe they didn't protect her but allowed her to be harms way out of jealousy and envy. They also might have resented their father bragging about her. jmo

Respectfully, I think it is possible her paternal family was jealous or envious of all Phylicia had going for her. Moreso, I think the Johnson brothers and cousins resented her for having more class and more going on for herself than they did. I think the J family resentment and envy could have escalated due to the fact PB was so close to acheiving the accomplishment of graduating early and having already been accepted to college.

It still amazes me to this day, not one of those J family members has been brought in on drug charges. An arrest of someone facing a good 3-5 or more might help break open PB's case if someone withholding information which would help solve her case was ready to make a deal for themselves. I mean, really. It's no secret that while these J men's social networking and twitter accounts were public they were boasting left and right about their drug use.

Cubby, I concur! I think if LE has a case on any of them, and I'm sure they do its time to use it!

Justice for Phylicia!

Bumping for Phylicia.
What happened on December 28, 2010?
Why did DB and KB fail to follow through on their responsibilities?
Was it already too late? Were they complicit?
What happened to Phylicia Simone, and who knows about it?

I wish there were more breaking news on Phylicia's case other than bickering between the two families. Though, I do understand the frustration with the case apparently being stagnant. :(

Also, why did Mr. Barnes insist Michael Johnson stay away from Phylicia's mother? Why did he feel he, not the investigators, had that right? It almost makes me wonder if he had something to hide. Or he had knowledge of Mr. Johnson having some knowledge - of something, related to Phylicia's case or not, he did not want Mr. Johnson revealing to Ms. Sallis.

Incredibly sad this case seems to have gotten cold. :(

Still praying for justice for Phylicia.

I do not believe the case is cold. I think things are moving forward, and I truly believe arrests are in the works.

So much work was done on this case, and so much energy has gone into, and continues to go into, bringing justice to Phylicia and her family. Those who did this will not escape justice. This case got too much attention, and there are too many people still paying attention, for LE to let it go cold.

I will be very surprised if arrests are not made before Thanksgving. Very surprised.

I hope so GJ'. By Thanksgiving would be nice. I would be wonderful to know this case has not gone unsolved through the holiday season.

Hello All,
It's been a while since I responded. Has anyone read anywhere as to whether LE took DNA samples in the bathtub drain in the apartment since MJ claimed one time that Phylicia was taking a shower. Also, when LE drained the well in the shed at the white house in South Baltimore, did they take DNA samples of the water first? Placing her body at Conowingo dam seems like a cover-up for what really must have happened to her. They really thought they could hide her body out there.

I know they took many samples from the apartment. The only samples that I saw disclosed were chunks of carpet from the doorway area.
I also know they took samples from the well, but not aware of what the samples were. They drained the well, and then went back in the daylight to look for more evidence.

It seems like they took her from the apartment to the park area. From there they took her to the well. And from there to the Conowingo dam. Those are the places that LE searched, and I don't think they were searching based on mere hunches. They had cell phone pings and interview information that led them to the first two places. Conowingo Dam was so far out of the normal patterns of the Apartment Regulars, that it never would have come on LE's radar without PB's body surfacing.
all my opinion.

How deep is the well that was searched?

Not sure.
In this article http://www.examiner.com/crime-in-na...-police-search-well-for-missing-nc-teen-video it says they drained 20 feet of water and put a camera down the well.

I went back to the thread where we discussed the well search. Surprisingly, all of the media links still work!
Here's where the discussion starts, for those who want to read it:
http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?t=125540&highlight=phylicia+search&page=10 Starts with post 229 by Money

Basically, they searched one afternoon/evening, and then they went back in the morning to make sure they were able to see where the bottom of the wellwas. They were concerned that the well ballooned out into a reservoir.
Here's a page with an audio link from A. G (LE) about it.

Is it possible that, and this is moo, that MJ and his crew took phylicia's body to the well and dumped her there? And if this well's bottom does lead out to a reservoir, that's how Phylicia's body ended up at the dam? This case has gone on far too long and I am guessing that is due to a through investigation by the feds and Maryland state police since no one is willing to offer up the goods on the person(s) responsible! Justice is coming and I do believe arrests and charges will come down before the one year anniversary of Phylicia's disappearance. My prayers and thoughts are with JS always. I can't even begin to imagine what she is going through right now. Justice should have been here by now for Phylicia. But I have faith the feds will have a strong case against the ones responsible. No one will escape charges.

Respectfully shortened. Excellent question FrostByte. I hadn't even considered the possibility the well led to a reservoir which led to the river. I was hung up on how the J crew could have placed Phylicia's body in the well, removed it without being caught and taken it to the river near the damn.

I can't recall, where cadaver dogs ever used? and did they hit in the apartment or well? I seem to recall a dog hitting on the dumpster at the apartment, but can't recall if it was a cadaver dog or not.

The well is located in Southwest Baltimore which would flow into the Patapsco River (about 5 miles from the well) that leads to the Chesapeake Bay in a southward flow. Phylicia's body was found about 45 miles northeast in the Susquehanna River by the Conowingo damn that runs into the Chesapeake Bay in a more eastward direction, then southeast.

Police had used 2 bloodhound dogs to search around the apartments, where they only traced her scent to the parking spots by the sidewalk that face the apartment entrance. A retired police officer had volunteered to search for Phylicia with his rescue dog and his cadaver dog. He spent hours searching through several parks nearby the apartments. The large search on April 9th at Patapsco State Park included cadaver and water dogs.

Thank you Sun48Shine for the clarification on the well and rivers. It is very much appreciated.

I wish LE would have taken cadaver dogs into that apartment. It might have helped narrow the crime scene.

Still praying for justice for Phylicia. :praying:

Whoever took Phylicia out of the apartment, they had to have taken her out of the main door. The patio has a rail around it and no steps. A picture of the patio area is attached.
