Wow. Very good indeed.

Did you see JS's comment below? Heartbreaking...

My own opinion is the person posting as JS is not actually JS. My hinkey meter went all wonky when I read that post. Does not sound like what I've seen from her before... And I haven't seen actual confirmation that it is the JS, or just someone who used her name as their login id? That particular webblog allows you to make any login name you like...

GJ, I did think that as well. Not her type of 'language', kwim? I guess the thought that it might have been her just reminds of how heartbroken she must be.

I'm afraid this case is going to stay cold. :(

I firmly believe the killers will be brought to justice, before the anniversary of when they found her in April. I think they got DNA evidence of some type, and have been waiting for results of that. It can take a long time.
We can hope.

The blog poster The People's Champion allegedly interviewed JS-M, PSB's mother, via the phone.
Without being able to confirm it, I'll let everyone take this for what it's worth.

http://thepeopleschampion.wordpress...s-puts-her-daughters-murder-into-perspective/

I'm still reading it and working past the typos and wrong use of words. Right now, I had to pause for a moment when "unabbreviated" was used instead of "inebriated". At least that's what I think the author meant... :waitasec:

ETA:

Okay, I finished it now. Very interesting. I'm still processing it. But it has given me some new insight to many things about this case. Thanks for sharing it, GJ.

Michael Johnson's attorney speaks out.
http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/maryland/bs-md-ci-phylicia-vigil-20111228,0,5798260.story
"It's not progressing," said Russell Neverdon, who represents Michael Johnson, the last known person to see the North Carolina teen alive. The attorney also charged that a Baltimore police officer who is related to the girl interfered in the early stages of the investigation. "It disheartens me, how they went about this. It's like the Keystone Kops."
Neverdon's remarks shed new light on the investigation from the perspective of Johnson, the ex-boyfriend of Phylicia's older sister Deena. Johnson has told police that he saw Phylicia asleep on a couch in her sister's apartment.

"He has maintained his innocence, that he had nothing to do with her disappearance," Neverdon said. "His attitude is and continues to be, 'I have nothing to hide.'" The attorney added: "They have collected DNA from him, conducted hours and hours of interviews and follow-ups, shown up at his work. Very pointedly, they have nothing. If they had it, they would have brought charges."

Neverdon said Johnson was asked about the "streaking" photos, and that Johnson said they were taken at a party at Deena Barnes' apartment. Neverdon said he has seen the photos, which were not shot the night of her disappearance, and show people running around nude inside and outside of Deena's apartment. The search warrants for the electronic accounts, he said, were a law enforcement tactic to "sweat things out, to put pressure on [Johnson] by suggesting he had done something wrong."

Attorney Neverdon seems to have forgotten his client refused to take a polygraph which could officially eliminate him as a person of interest or possible suspect in Phylicia's disappearance and murder.

The public has not forgotten Mr. Johnson's refusal to take a polygraph.

Also from the link in the OP:

Anthony Guglielmi, the Baltimore Police Department's chief spokesman, said there was "no indication that any inappropriate activity took place" on the part of officers. He added that Johnson should file an internal-affairs complaint if he believes anything improper occurred.

-and-

Neverdon would not make Johnson available for an interview.

I thought so. Neverdon is all bark and no bite, so is his client. Why hasn't Mr. Johnson taken that polygraph Mr. Neverdon? And if there were any wrongdoing by the Baltimore police as you have suggested, why hasn't your client filed a complaint with the internal-affairs department as Guglielmi suggested?

Oh that's right, because then your client would be cross examined in a court of law and we wouldn't want that to happen now would we?

Yet another article today and vid to go along with it was picked up by channel 3 in Charlotte to feed to the NC followers of Phylicia's story.

I am steamed. I'm steamed at all of them now.

Neverdon is spouting off about streaking. We are supposed to believe a bunch of people at Deena's party got naked and ran around the building, inside and outside. Presumably, including Phylicia.

OK. Fine. Going with this scenario, why wouldn't they have eventually come in, gotten dressed, had a lot of laughs and carried on with the party.

But... Phylicia is DEAD. She didn't die from streaking. Someone in that party either killed her or saw her die of accidental alcohol poisoning (or some drug).

OK. Fine. Unintentional. Except Phylicia is just 16 and a "good girl" visiting her bad girl/boy/friends & family.

This poses a problem. They lose everything. They go to jail. Their lifestyle of fun and friends just exploded into a courtroom....

Unless...

They get her body out of there pronto and that is what I believe happened.

As for the streaking... that was conjured up as a cover for the nude pics they took of Phylicia as she was well on the way to what killed her.

Someplace there might be pics, but I think any smart woman/man would make damn sure those were all destroyed. But fine to keep up the streaker pics just to show the cops what a fun time Phylicia was having. All fun, innocent fun. B fing S.

She didn't get into the Susquehanna because she wanted to go for a nice swim after running.

Man I am steamed.

I agree. I have nothing good to say about Neverdon. IMO he is trying to impede the investigation by making his client appear as the victim rather than keeping his big mouth shut. He's looking to capitalize on Phylicia's murder - any more I will get a TO so I'll stop there.

Anyone who saw Michael Johnsons FB page HAS seen his very provocative photo's online where he and his current g/f were undressed. Neverdon is not doing his client any favors. In fact he is making his client look worse.

:waiting: :waiting: :waiting: - For Michael Johnson to take that polygraph.

:waiting: :waiting: :waiting: - For Michael Johnson to file an internal-affairs complaint regarding any wrongdoing on Baltimore PD's investigation into Phylicia's case.

Still... :waiting: and we will continue to :waiting:

I'm sorry, Cubby. What is the OP? Could you provide the link, please? Those are interesting comments and I'm sure very true. Ever since MJ was identified as the last known person to see Phylicia alive, I've suspected him to be the primary person responsible for her murder.

TIA!

Amanda, I share your anger over what happened to this beautiful, intelligent young lady and the subsequent coverup and denials. In every picture I've seen of Phylicia, she is conservatively dressed. I have not seen one picture of her wearing even a low-cut top. And she supposedly streaked at a party, of her own free will???? I didn't know Phylicia personally, but she just doesn't impress me as the type of teenager who would throw restraint to the wind.

So, MJ wants everyone to think it coincidence that there are pictures of Phylicia in the nude, taken a short time before she disappeared, and when her body was later found it was unclothed? I hope those pix are just one piece of evidence leading to the arrest and prosecution of Phylicia's killer(s).
