There are other motives for murder besides having something to gain.Agree. She was attractive, and the relationship, new. Absolutely nothing to gain in eliminating her.
I think that may be true in this case. Many times they do know who the perpetrator is but don’t have enough evidence to charge them...
Can be. Some people will go do their cardio first and then to the gym and lift weights so it's not outside the realm of weirdness that she'd go to the gym and then a run. I mean that's too much for me (I'm doing good to even do 30 mins of exercise a day LOL) but someone hardcore into fitness may do it.Ok I’m not one that works out, gym, jogging, etc I get a work out gardening, cutting grass and maintaining the house.
For the ones that do work out is it normal, common to go jogging/ running/ walking after a work out at the gym?
TIA
When breaking up, yes, surely. But this was a new relationship; they have made it "official" a week ago. They are spending time together. There are many expectations from the future. Like her style or not, she obviously invested a lot in her looks and was attractive. It makes no sense to me.There are other motives for murder besides having something to gain.
I feel strongly this was a matter of being in the wrong place at wrong time, in other words - her killer wasn't someone close to her. It won't be surprising if a total stranger is eventually arrested. She attracted attention from someone who likely lived nearby and/or frequented the trails. When breaking up, yes, surely. My only other thought is if she was on multiple dating sites and had a public Facebook page. Maybe the announcement of the new relationship, pizzed someone off. Maybe there were expectations that went unfulfilled, a sense of being dumped. That person knew she routinely went to the trails. Has anyone found a profile for her?
I haven't seen either, were both removed? She had 2 facebook pages

...Police told reporters to ignore an account given by a local man, Michael Gabriszeski, who gave a gory description of having discovered the body in a tunnel on the trail, saying he had not found the body nor seen it...
...Gabriszeski’s father John told The Post Saturday that his son was not lying – he was with a group of people who found the body although he was not the one to find it.
He said his son’s stepdaughter, who was an acquaintance of Rachel’s, and another person was with him looking for Morin and they were the ones who found her.
“I think the authorities don’t want too much information out there right now as they conduct the investigation and we understand that,” he said.

We really need different emojis! In a new article in the NYP, we now have MG's father saying that his son is not lying and that his stepdaughter is an acquaintance of Rachel's and he was with a group of people when the body was found.
He also said that his son is going to remain quiet and not say anything further.
Her "being distracted" during the week before murder is telling IMO.An update from the NY Post published at 6:30 Saturday:

Murdered Maryland mom Rachel Morin was ‘devoted’ to her 5 kids: bosses
Woltz said Morin was “easygoing” and almost always in a good mood but she and her husband both noticed she seemed “distracted” the week before she was killed.nypost.com
Distracted in what way? That could mean anything from forgetting laundry in the dryer to not being able to hold a conversation.“She was very warm and above all she loved her children,” Margaret Woltz, 69, told The Post about the 37-year-old Maryland mother, found brutally murdered Aug. 6 on the Ma and Pa hiking trail in Bel Air.
“She raised them very well. She had a flexible work schedule that allowed her to make sure her kids were always taken care of. We were like grandparents to the kids and we trusted her implicitly.”
Morin, who owned her own cleaning business, worked for Woltz and her husband for eight years, keeping their home tidy, Woltz said.
The mom was “easygoing” and almost always in a good mood, said Woltz, who admitted she and her husband noticed Morin seemed “distracted” the week before she was killed.
Margaret Woltz said Morin’s top priority was her kids, who were exceptionally well-behaved.
