I hope it's not considered rude to @ people that you don't know in order to call them into a thread. I apologize if it is as that certainly was not my intent. :) I did so because this thread has gotten very quiet, and you all were contributors that are still around. Also, @rey-investigator dropped a lot of material in their Google Drive to aid in the investigation that they are sharing with Websleuthers. Just a guess that there might be info there that's new for some of you.

Anyway, they are looking for help and that's what we're here for. To help and to find the truth. :) With what rey-investigator has shared with us I figured I'd reach out to those that had a past interest in Rey Rivera's case, to see if they still have an interest in it now.

Thank you for reading my post. :)

I don't find it rude. I'll re-familarize myself with the case when I get a chance.

I've been watching the Rivera episode on UM again and I have another theory altogether: I think that hole must have already been there and Rivera was placed underneath it. There is no way a 6'5", 260-pound man went vertically through a hole in a roof. Unless he had his hands and legs bound, he would have been flailing and would never have landed so neatly. It's just impossible given the laws of physics and gravity. Which means there must be another explanation and that is: he was held somewhere in that hotel and tortured, beaten, etc., and then dumped, or dropped through the already-existing hole, while he was still alive, and thus the blood splatter, which, if you see in the pic, isn't all that drastic, not for someone who's just fallen through a hole traveling at what? 30 mph? (I don't know the speed at which a body of his mass falls. But certainly someone has done his homework and figured this out.) The man was somehow subdued, tortured for whatever info they wanted out of him, kept somewhere, perhaps, and then finally gotten rid of. It's the only sensible theory left that makes any sense. And I'm sure his friend, Porter, had something to do with it.

OR: Rivera was dragged onto the parking garage roof, where he left his glasses and cell phone perhaps without anyone noticing and then dumped through the hole. OR: he managed to get away, fell onto the garage roof, losing his cell phone and his glasses in the process, and then slipped down the hole in the hopes of getting away but then died. Perhaps a fall could have broken his already-wounded legs? I dunno. It's all very fishy but what I do know is, the guy couldn't have committed suicide like the police say he did even if he'd wanted to, not like that. No way in heck. He was beaten and left for dead and there's someone in that hotel who knows something.

Also: there would have been BLOOD at the impact site from the guy splatting against the roof and then scraping his body as he went through all that metal! C'mon! How could these investigators not understand that, at least?
Slipped on the garage roof?

The roof with the hole was not the garage, right?

But these are interesting ideas for sure. It’s always easiest to blame everything weird on psych issues.

re-obssessing on this case. it's very perplexing and complicated. I don't see him transversing that ledge in flip flops or getting 40 yards out from the roof line in a jump. mOO

the problem with the hole is there is no evidence that hole was pre-existing and nothing other than Rey's body was found to be the cause. also, lets say he was murdered on the roof and they wanted to conceal the body..

how did they construct the hole? how did they know it was an empty , unused room beneath ?

side thoughts..

so in one thing I read it mentions that Rey and Allison had partied up on top of the belvedere before...so it sounds like he knows the way up.

it sounds like Allison knows the way up
sounds like Rey knows many of the hotel people
sounds like Agora people hang out there and it is a hub so there is a connection.
the company probably puts up guests there due to proximity etc.

would be curious to know which tenants Rey knew.
would be curious to know who the tenants are

there is only one really conceivable angle for him to jump and it doesn't make sense. unless he somehow climbed down to the soffit ledge below from the roof.
this sounds insane because he is height phobic.
I had a friend throw a fire extinguisher through a plate glass high rise window in oder to commit suicide, which he did. so I can see how someone can become unbelievably strong or irrational in a
moment of crisis.

staging...

because there is an absence of an explanation for the hole..doesn't mean it wasn't staged..it just means they don't know how it was created.

the note.

to me it seems like classic mania but I do agree that it also has a vibe of listing subjects that can be used to build out a book or screenplay...for instance giving a nod to a certain invention can add authenticity to the era you are writing in. also listing movies that have a vibe your'e trying to consider while creating visuals and writing scenes. like listing friends and actors etc, that you can base characters on. but the way it was found and the circumstances are deeply weird.

the chick at the house.

why is everything about her so cleaned up and cleared out? why is it impossible for her to be a suspect? did this woman have a husband? I am just curious.

ADDED

there is wood in that opening . was there any wood, splinters, etc found on Ray? any of the insulation from the ceiling? any drywall dust or particles? I can't remember if he was covered in dry wall dust or not.. like others, I feel like that hole needed a whole lot of examination. wonder what the weather had been like...wonder if a roofing expert has ever seen a hole like this..I think there would be water damage if it was an old hole...let's say you are a fireman...is this a hole you would make to let water come through the roof?

mOO

I feel like Rey may have been taken from the house...and the things Claudia heard were not the phone call. but Rey saying SHIP . being lead out and someone coming back to maybe grab his car keys . Just another thought.

I say this because someone was tripping those alarms and might have been stalking the house.

this story gives me shades of Hotel Cecil and the Jack Wheeler death.

The hole. What is the evidence it was new? What if someone pushed him out from an apartment above, knowing that there was a hole there, then went down and pushed RRs body down into the hole?
