Mike Tobin said he saw a revolver is that considered antique? I have no clue. When I hear revolver I think John Wayne.

When I think "revolver", I think handgun that's loaded by hand and doesn't use a clip.

I saw video recorded from a cell phone after the incident. Total chaos and mayham. One officer seemed almost in tears saying I didn't shoot nobody..

That is just so very sad. I feel for those Officers out on the streets.

Oh, that makes sense. Mike Tobin's description is all I have found about what type gun it was. Still looking.

Well, from that photo the guy in the blue shirt had a perfect view of the event.

Good thing that bullet didn't hit him.

Seems like LE and MSM will locate more surv cam vid from businesses close-by.
Looks like commercial area.
Hope it will further clarify what happened.

Hannah AllamVerified account

Penn & North quiet now, crowd mostly dispersed. Lots of media. But not 1 person I've asked buys the official account of #RobertTucker case
Is Robert Tucker the not shot suspect?

Here is a photo of the gun:
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CEMPEERWMAAEAWo.jpg:large
It is at the feet of the officer
SStarr33 - thx for link to pix.

On left edge of pix ~ midway horizontally, I see ahand & wrist in front of black metal stairway railing.
Is there a knife in the hand? Or a gun above that? Or something else in hand? Is it LEO's hand?

Or optical illusion - w dark 'blade-ish' shape actually a gap between two light brown things/shapes
on the ground, against bldg?

My tablet screen is not cutting it. Or maybe my peepers are not focusing properly.:gaah:

They should have the entire thing on video. That's how they knew he had a gun--just from watching video surveillance.

This seems to be a very interesting exercise in our 24 hour news cycle and how eyewitness testimony is not always accurate.

Well, there's "not accurate", and then there's intentionally inaccurate. Someone is taking their cues from Dorian Johnson.

Bad initial reporting by Fox, I don't care what BPD may have tweeted. Could have cost lives.

Media needs to be held responsible for causing stuff like this. They report stuff before they have any idea if it's true or not. It's one thing for it to be all over Twitter by users, but for "reputable" news sources, it's unacceptable.

The protesters at the scene were very unlikely to have been watching Fox. They only knew what was on Twitter. I'm not condoning Fox's shoddy reporting, but IMO it didn't influence the mob.

They were watching the twitter feed and knew what Mike Tobin reported. It was all over the feed for Baltimore that Fox said he was shot by police.

What does random 'witnesses' who speak to media have to do with credible courtroom eyewitnesses?

Because the masses are not as discriminating in what they believe as are members of this board. Random "witnesses" were all over the airwaves in the Michael Brown case and generated a "hands up, don't shoot" meme that was repeated in NFL games and in Congress. There are many who are still convinced that MB was executed while surrendering despite the fact that all the forensic and credible Grand Jury eyewitness testimony was consistent with Officer Wilson's account.

These "media witnesses" are more important than credible courtroom witnesses. They shape the narratives that the masses swallow hook, line and sinker, and refuse to let go of despite the facts.
