What if she pulled over for whatever reason, gas or another car issue, and a predator drove past and saw a pretty blonde woman alone, so they also pull over. Maybe she gets out, without her personal belongings, to just chat quickly with the nice person who stopped a ways in front of her SUV, perhaps be able to get some help. Maybe this is when a passerby saw her walking northbound. And maybe she’s then pulled into the person’s vehicle or gets in willingly thinking they’re helping her, and she’s then taken. Just a thought. Literally anything could have happened at this point.

That's as a good a possibility as anything. Some guy could have offered her a lift up to the nearest gas station - IF that's where she was headed. I say "if" because to get gas she'd need a gas can and I'm not certain that most stations carry them.

I'm finding this whole thing very aggravating. All of the most important questions are not being publicly asked. No press conferences, nothing. Where is the urgency?!

@Artis I'm with you, but the only thing I can think is that LE has more information than they are telling the public/able to release for whatever reason, likely so as not to have it interfere with the investigation that the have decided (for reasons unbeknownst to us) needs to be around the waters of the Presumpscot.

I have a lot of thoughts about this case, but right now am leaning towards foul play. However, I would like to know what her demeanor was like the night before, leading up to the concerning Facebook post/update/change (sorry not sure what it is called, I dont have FB). People have said that her daughter wasn't home, but that was Monday night/early Tues, not the nights her daughter was at a friend's, which I understood to be Tuesday and Wednesday night. Am I incorrect in that thinking, or missing some details? Or maybe this is just another thing to add to the confusing reporting list...

We don't know squat. Someone came here and posted that info but without any verification.

Vigils are good but there needs to be a press conference!!!

That article has her car northbound.

“We’re extremely thankful for all the police efforts throughout Maine,” said Chris Heinig. “We don’t know at this point having not found a body. She may still be alive.”

From the beginning, it's felt like this was only about finding a body but no discussion about possible abduction. That seems so strange, to me.

And what a strange way that word, IMO, about your missing daughter. It seems the father has been doing most of the speaking to the media.

I'm not feeling it. It's all seemed to be about recovery and a valiant effort in that regard. Is suicide being assumed? Her mother said last they spoke Anneliese was in a good mood and nobody has mentioned anything about depression. All of the vital questions that would come up in a disappearance haven't even been mentioned.

Who saw her last?
What do her phone records show about who she last spoke with in the days leading up to her disappearance?
Was she on good terms with the fathers of her children?
Did she have a boyfriend or was she dating?

Get those phone records!

I thought the same thing. It's kind of like she disappeared so, now, let's see if we can find a body. While always to consider the worst - suicide or murder - I'd be all over TV begging for the return of my girl and working as though she were alive.

Now unexpectedly snowing in Falmouth. Looks like we are supposed to get 1" - 3" which probably isn't going to be helpful to LE in their search. No updates today from what I've seen, either
We've had it all day. Plows are out now. Unreal.

It should be cleared up hopefully by tomorrow. I'm sure the lack of updates means that she hasn't been found yet and no new information to pass on.

I join you and am in your club. Totally agree. No other discussion or thoughts, just that she's in the water somewhere. She could very well be. Yet, there are other possibilities that should be explored. Maybe LE is doing that behind the scenes, hence the silence. I find in many cases, when folks think that LE isn't doing anything, we find out just the opposite- usually after an arrest is made or evidence is found.

This is the area I was referring to in my post earlier today. Lunt Road Bridge is also the bridge that someone referred to on FB in the comments section at some point, as being worked on by the DOT, but the person did not use the name of the bridge in the comments.

Agree. Instead, they've asked for family and friends to stay silent and not talk to the media and social media.

the only thing that I can think of is that they suspect suicide, even though the parents have said she didn't have suicidal tendencies in the past and was in a good mood on Monday. So why are they solely focusing on finding her deceased, if they think there is a possibility that she could be alive? I totally understand them searching that area and think it's great. They're doing an amazing job.

I just hope that there are some detectives working behind the scenes, looking at other possibilities while the searches are being performed.

See- even they acknowledge that she was last seen during a busy commute and are asking others to come forward if they saw her that morning. Only one person saw her- a tow truck driver. That's it?

THAT. We've heard nothing about detectives and possible foul play.

What a lovely picture at the vigil.

So they're still continuing to search for Anneliese in the water?

You are right, I had forgotten that was unverified/non-msm information. Still, we know she lived with her daughter, who somehow did not report that she was gone until Thursday. There has to be some reason for that, and the daughter staying with friends makes as much sense as anything. Hopefully someone will get verified, or more information will be officially shared.

Her sister mentioned on her fb page that she called AH' place of employment and her boss said, she didn't show up for work on tuesday or wenesday.

She listed herself as single on her Facebook page.

Apparently she had to work on tuesday fron what her sister is saying on Facebook.

While looking for the post by the person who knows Anneliese- I think they are friends from childhood? I found these two important posts that was stated Anneliese was supposed to work on that Tuesday and Wednesday.

This is why I wondered if the clothing she was wearing that morning is something she would wear to work? Why don't they at least say when her shift was supposed to start?

Hi guys. Just wanted to answer some questions for you guys. Anneliese is a friend of mine since we were in 7th grade. I made an account so I could hopefully help you guys with answers.
Anneliese’s daughter was at a friend’s house Tuesday and Wednesday night. She hadn’t heard from her mom which she thought was strange. She came home Thursday and found everything as it was when she left on Tuesday. She couldn’t reach her mom, and called around to people that normally would’ve seen or heard from her and nobody had. Her daughter then reported her missing.
Anneliese worked in Brunswick, so nobody knows why she was in Portland.

It really does seem like they are leaning towards self harm and knowing her, although it’s been years since we were close, I know with all of my heart that she didn’t do this to herself. She wouldn’t leave her kids like this. She had stuff for her daughter birthday party in her car, which they had plans for that weekend. Also, how did only one person report seeing her walking? At that time of morning there is so many people traveling to work.
So many questions and no answers.

Also, like stated above... if she was going to harm herself , why would she drive to Portland on a busy highway and leave her car and walk away. There are so many back roads and places that would be more “ideal” for something like that near where she lives, including bodies of water. And other areas she knows well.

Her daughters texts were still saying “delivered” on Thursday morning. Which come to find out, was when the car was sitting in the tow yard.

This should be read by everyone, I think it’ll clear up some question...but also raise more.
Family of missing Richmond woman voices hope, frustration

These are the quotes from Anneliese's friend that we've referenced several times on here. They were all made on Tuesday, December 3rd. For those who have been wondering where some of the information came from.

Thanks for pulling those up. I wish Willow would come back and get verified, though she may not know much more.

@PommyMommy
You've followed a lot of cases. Do you recall anything like this with such a lack of info and no pressers, no family TV pleas for help, etc?
