Alexis stated on the show that the father's house is a two story house. It doesn't look like a two story house to me; thoughts anyone?

There you go. Avoiding something?

Oh Nancy, give Trista a chance to answer the darn question. I didn't like how that all went down.

Oh, nice, TR saying that while in JD's care, Ayla missed 4 appointments "for shots," as well as one with her "bone specialist" on Friday.

The thing about "bone specialist" makes me kinda wonder if she had some medical condition that made her bones fragile? Or it could just be someone checking up on the break (more likely).

i can't be sure but i believe at first she said it was a single story home, and then after they started talking about the attic, she misspoke and said "two story"

If you look at the home using street view, it's your classic small New England cottage style place. They may have built the attic into an extra room or rooms, with slanted walls in the upstairs room or rooms, due to the angle of the roof.

In thinking about it, there really has been very little info on the searches.

I think this is a small PD jurisdiction and the Chief spent 10 mins (imo) thanking all the Official help they were getting.

Does make me wonder from the lack of info on the searches that they are more focused on the house.

bbm. he did spend a LOT of time thanking, lol.

don't know if this has been posted, it's the waterville police facebook.

Waterville Police Department
Words cannot express the gratitude we feel toward our brothers and sisters at Waterville Fire and Rescue for their massive, enthusiastic, thorough and organized search. Through a very cold day, these committed men and women pressed on in the effort to find Ayla and bring her home. Chief Lafountain, our hats are off to you and your team.

At this time, we have adequate staffing to conduct thorough searches from the air, water, and on land. The Communications Center will gather names of people wanting to volunteer, and hold them in the event they are needed. 680-4700. Thank you for your concern and offer. 4 hours ago

But it sounds like dad did not want a bone specialist inspecting his child's body. I wonder why.

She did not give TR a chance to answer about who was at the house (if she knows)-also when was she last seen by anyone besides Dad????

I wish there was more info about Ayla's father ...

He has given NO interviews and made NO pleas for his daughter's return ...

BUT has there been any info out there on the father's "background" ?

Now ... I don't want to do anything wrong here with regards to the TOS ... :innocent: So ... do we have to wait for the media to "dig it up" -- that is IF IF there is anything that needs to be looked at ? KWIM ?

IMO ... the group here at WS would have that info in a "flash" ...:great:

MOO ...

Of course Nancy there is a difference between children bones and adult bones. :banghead:

Caller, Pamela in ME - Asking about the plausibility of the broken bone scenario.

NG - Children's bones are very malleable at this age.

Dr. Joy Carter - Difference in kids' vs adults' bones; kids' = softer. Should look @ ER record & what dad said, is the "falling" story consistent...specifically questioning why it would be just 1 arm if JD fell on top of her.

  • #555
Has anyone seen a picture of the father? If not--how is he escaping the media?

  • #556
Ken Osler (local media guy, I think from a morning show)- Fall itself would be suspicious.

Grandpa (RR) - (NG asking about JD falling on Ayla & breaking arm) He doesn't know any more than we do about this.

Why no LD test for Dad? That is insane, if he has not been asked to take one...LE can't afford to coddle these parents in hopes they will be more helpful, it becomes too late very quickly, IMO...

I liked the question from the caller asking if the father fell on her going down the steps, wouldn't there be more than a broken arm?

That's a valid question.

Do we have the press conference?
