She was in rehab, no? I was sure I read that somewhere, and now I cannot find it.
On a tweet from Carloline Callahan, above...

I am sure each parent has their own story. As of right now we are just hearing from the moms side. babies get all sort of bruises, on butts, backs, arms, legs. They fall alot and bump into everything.
But it begs the question, why are we hearing only from the mom's side? What about the people who had custody of her, why aren't they out there begging for Ayla to be returned?
Maybe they are and I have missed it.
Grandfather says that people don't understand that the girl wasn't with them, she was with her father. He wants his granddaughter home. He thanks everybody that is involved with the search. He's scared, he wants her home, he wants answers. If he (the father?) had something to do with it, somebody please say something. The poor helpless little girl is out there and he can't do anything but try and support his family. He wants to go to dad's house and ask him what happened to his granddaughter but he knows what will happen. The reporter supplies the answer: you'll get arrested.
Oh no. This poor man. I lost it and couldn't finish watching the video. If anyone has the time or desire to transcribe or summarize, I would be grateful.

I posted about these doo-dads on the Jason Burton thread as well:Hi All...First time to post. I have actually been lurking on Websleuths for several years but have never posted. But after reading that yet another little one is missing I just can not stay quiet any longer. This so breaks my heart especially so close to Christmas. Praying that she is alive and fine.
With so many children disappearing in the middle of the night or walking out the door do parents no longer buy the plastic things to put on door knobs for child safety that even a grown adult can have problems opening the door. We had them so that our daughters couldn't open the doors. They come in a pack of 2 or 3 for barely anything at any store.
Sorry for my out burst on this very simple act of prevention. Just tired of all these poor babies being taken.

Tune in to @WABI_TV5 tonight at 5 for a live report on #AylaReynolds.
--did anyone happen to see the news @ 5?
Earlier reports indicate that the mother's own mother said that DHS took Ayla and gave custody to Ayla's father. Yet Ayla's mother continues to imply that she "let" Ayla go live with the father. That one huge "twist of truth" makes me take each and every thing that comes out of the mother's mouth with a huge dose of NaCl.carolyncallahan Carolyn Callahan
Relatives say #AylaReynolds was put in father's custody when her mother was being treated for substance abuse.
