How many of those listed families were looked at closely by LE before they moved onto other suspects? How many of those families agreed to do whatever it took to find their missing children? How many of those families understood that LE was simply doing their jobs and that of course in a missing child/person case those closest to the victim are looked at first before LE can move forward?

My point? What has the father in this case done to show not only LE but also the public that he and his family/friends that were in that home did nothing to harm Ayla?

BBM
: All of them!

All we know about Ayla's father & his family is that they are cooperating with LE & not spouting off on NG or GMA! They left their home so LE could search it!

Comfort Inn dumpster being searched - where's her mother staying!?

Not huge IMHO, it's the mother saying he did not take her - if she has not been talking with to the father, how does she know he has not taken her to these appts?

Did the Dr office call her? wish we knew

If her arm is fractured, she needs the specialist (who's this gf?)

They might have called if the appointment wasn't canceled but good point.

Yeah - what are you doing to find Ayla? Getting my 15 minutes of fame regardless of what LE says . . .

I keep having to remind myself that we are only hearing one side, the mothers. We have heard nothing from the father or his side, and quite honestly, it would not surprise me a bit to find out that the mother is not being completely truthful.

Friday was the day that mother filed custody papers, and she says that the father could not have known about that filing. She says they had not been communicating at that point. So, if the mother was not talking to the father, how did she know that Ayla had missed an appointment? She was not the custodial parent, and Ayla was not with her when the injury occurred, so unless someone dropped the ball or she has another contact within the fathers family, she should not have been able to find out about medical appointments or when and if they were missed. MOO.

Just trying to catch up and reading backwards!

I agree with not getting tunnel vision only because the mom is the only one speaking. I also agree anybody can and will embellish the truth to put a better light on yourself. As this case grows though I would think one would tend to back tract and maybe correct some statements said previously especially givin the sudden National media attention. Have we seen that today from the mom?

As far as the mom knowing that Ayla had missed the appt. that could have come from anyone including the media.

As far as the dad having no idea she had filed the day before, it has been said
his side of the family has "connections" with DCF. I kinda went with that last night and it made sense. It also makes sense to me if they do have connections they would be well advise to keep quiet.

Back to reading and listening

If we can think of what LE should do and check, trust me, they have already done it!

  • #148
Oh Marc...he is saying dogs will hit on tampons...sigh...

:seeya: Do ya think it is time to bring in Oriah and Sarx for Expert verification ? :great:

Yep ... I was kind of "surprised" when Marc said that ... :waitasec::waitasec:

MOO ...

Why does everyone want to apply THEIR potty training, cast wearing, bottle giving, parent participation, child checking NORMS to Ayla - which has not been HER norm? Just curious...IMOO

:yourock:

I hated weeding through posts . . . and cannot help myself to reply!

I don't understand the negativity towards Ayla's mother and grandmother.

  • #151
Caller wants to know why Trista is not up there, where her child went missing? NG does not want this to be an attack on Mom, said she knows for a fact that Mom was not there when baby went missing. But also wants to know why she is not up there.

BBM: Yes ... but I am sure HLN and the media would give him "equal time" IF he wanted it ...

IMO ... he does NOT want to talk to the media for some reason ... hmmm

BBM: Hmmm ... SPECULATING HERE ...

Maybe LE "slipped" and told her ...

Maybe the doctor's office contacted Trista since she is the biological mother of Ayla ...

MOO ...

yeah, like LE told him/them not to discuss the case.

I believe the Dr office would call anyone on the medical record when the patient didn't come to an appt (it's typically automated within their EHR files).

Trista's relative says that LE has told them to stay away from Waterville...

  • #154
wow according the grandmother they told the bio mom to stay in Portland basically stay away from waterville.

  • #155
Asking about LD tests...Mom said she will take it, LE says she does not need to...LE not saying about anyone else...

Reporter claims LE doesn't know where Dad is right now...?

  • #156
Oh Marc...he is saying dogs will hit on tampons...sigh...

sexual harassment!

I bet LE knows where the father is . . . PLEASE (I hate talking heads)

  • #157
Marc doesn't like the fact that neither parent is there, with LE...

  • #158
Texts from him to her that she was paranoid that someone was going to take baby Ayla? WTH???? (Mike Brooks said this)

Sorry, but who was paranoid? mother?

  • #159
And the telling the mother to stay away is common, almost SOP, in missing child cases. NG should know that by now, if you ask me.

She is the one attracting the media circus, and I'm sure Waterville would be fine without any more of that right now.

  • #160
LE would have Mom up there, if they needed her IMO...
At least they know how to reach her, I guess. Not so sure about Daddy right now, if reporter knows what he is talking about. But I would be shocked if LE has let Daddy out of their sights.
