I mean... there's a POSSIBILITY she left her house on foot between 3am and 5am, for a walk or run and was hit by a car on Rte 231 or 115 and tried to get back home through the woods. But, unfortunately, that is not the way I'm leaning. I assume we will have information by the end of the day... Anxiety and depression is so terrible. I just wish she could have found peace.
I'm not making any conclusions just yet, though I'm sure I'm thinking what many of us are. :( We'll know soon enough.

I wonder if anyone lives at that address?

Some reports seem as though it's the woods, others are saying a house on _____ road. Is the wooded area within the property of someone's house and that's why some reports are saying house or is that area public property?

Despite the serious topic, I'm smiling a bit at this. Sounds like Northeasterners. :)

I’m on the scanner for North Yarmouth and it’s very quiet right now.

I looked up that address. It looks like an older couple lives there..in their late 70’s-early 80’s.

It is a private property, IMO:

“Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department Crime Scene Unit has pulled up to the house on Gray Road in North Yarmouth. This house is approximately 1 mile from Kristin Westra’s home.”
Shannon Moss on Twitter

Crime scene tape surrounds a home at 83 Gray Road in North Yarmouth, about a half mile from Kristin Westra’s home. She is the school teacher missing for 5 days. Police have not said anything about what was found or if it is related the Westra case.”

My issue with the wanting a walk is she left her coat behind and maybe didn't even have shoes on. Locals report it as being very cold. I think if she went out for a walk in a healthy state of mind she would have dressed appropriately.

Also, husband and brother say she would never go anywhere without telling someone or bringing her phone so I think she would have left a note or sent a text.

Of course theres the possibility she was not in a good state of mind and left not caring about anything, but I don't think this is a case of her wanting a morning walk and then something bad happening to her on the way.

Not sure if this will work, here is the area on Google Maps.

Yes, it has been colder here lately, and rainy those days. I'm also in agreement with the last part of your statement. Just trying to hold out hope. I'm about 10 minutes away from the scene right now... and cannot bring myself to go over that way :(

OT, some of the pics from David Hill on Twitter show some pretty fall foliage

It says video can't be embedded. Do you have a direct link by any chance?

Hmmm, I just tried it and it worked for me. If you go to the homepage, it's just a couple of posts down--it was the live feed of the scene posted at 11:15 am

I listened and couldn't make out anything that was being said.

Me either. From what I read, it sounds like there were two different feeds.

“Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office is going to brief media soon on this incident in North Yarmouth. Again, not confirmed it’s related to Kristin Westra but it’s pretty close to her home.”

I think a reporter accidentally left his mic on during one of the live feeds. During that feed, someone said that a body had been found and it was found by a family member. That live feed has since been removed.

And you would assume if it wasn't related to her, that there would be different investigators and that scene. KWIM? MOO
