Found Deceased ME - Lisa Cox, 30, Brunswick, 19 Oct 2015

Why is it disrespectful to say someone was angry, pissed off, or left in a huff? Those are things people do. No disrespect intended.
It's disrespectful in the sense that it doesn't recognize the pain the individual was probably feeling to be driven to such extremes. In other words, in a huff represents a temporary state from which she would recover or hopefully could recover. Suicide is usually an end of the road choice. The individual simply fails to see a way out.

Very interesting comments under this article...(You have to click on the red bar that says, Read or Leave Comments).
Several mentions from people who know her that say Lisa was practically "blind" without her glasses. I can identify since I am the same.

Also other comments about Lisa's relationship.
Those comments were worthwhile to read and really make one wonder. She sounds like a nice young lady and I hope LE finds the truth, whatever it might be.

Thanks for pointing out that a read of the comment was worthwhile. definitely shined a light on the situation.

When I said she may have left in a huff that's why she forgot her glasses it was just speculating a scenario that may have happened, no disrespect to anyone intended.

I believe there's a rule in the TOS about not telling other posters how to post. That's what the mods are for. It's very easy to report a post that you think is out of line and let the mods decide.

I apologize to everyone for being overly sensitive.

I apologize to everyone being overly sensitive.

I have done the same, as we all have. These crimes...they get to ya. It's hard to be a deeply caring person and not have days - or particular cases - where you just go over the edge.

maybe she just crossed the street and could tie a knot by feel? the possibilities are endless. including that she didn't kill herself.

Well, it was stated she was hanging up the tree. That would require her to climb on that tree in darkness, being virtually blind and shoeless. It does not sound probable for me.

That all depends on how bad your eyesight is, and how pi$$ed you are when it happens. I can get all over my house, and yard without mine. Now if I have to get behind the wheel that's another story. Not everyone sees the same, or can get around without being able to see...

She was practically blind without her glasses, her friends said. And she was not in her house, but in an unfamiliar place.

She was in the wood across the street, that wouldn't be all that unfamiliar.

Somehow I don't think she was visiting these friends often enough to memorize the layout of their house enough, to be able walk there without her glasses. And she certainly did not memorize the woods across the street, yet we are to believe she managed to walk over a hundred yards in there, during a very dark, cloudy night, without her glasses on. I have quite decent eyesight, comparing to Lisa, yet I was unable to walk through it during a cloudy night without tangling myself into some brushes and smashing into trees. How would Lisa, practically blind without her glasses and BAREFOOT, manage to do that?

This is a pic from the search. Look at that wood. Do you see how thick it is? I cannot imagine myself a practically blind person making their way through these bushes.

Is there any chance she hid (or even went back inside) while her boyfriend was in the garage, and then went out again after it got light? Do we know her time of death yet? That could explain it. She didn't necessarily hang herself within minutes of the last time she saw him. It might have been hours.

Which... I hate to think of her out there cold and upset for hours. :(

[rsbm to answer the question]

I can imagine someone who is desperate, upset and not thinking clearly doing that, yes. Even without her glasses. I can see myself doing it, frankly.

Well please don't. I like you, appreciate your comments and encouragement!

Sometimes people who may have become self-destructive rehearse a scenario for ending their life; they practice mentally.

Thank you. :)

It's true. A friend of mine once said she always has a plan in her back pocket. It's a terrible thing to say, I know, but it's a sad fact many people deal with every day.

Well, if she did it, she should have been heavily scratched when they found her. Also the soles of her feet should have been injured. And well... she was not thinking clearly enough to forget her very much needed glasses, yet she remembered about something to make a noose?
Eh.

I have really bad eye sight. I am so uncomfortable without being able to see clearly. I just can't imagine why she didn't have her glasses on, if she was still awake and chatting, moving about... I wonder where her glasses were found. Was drinking involved that night? I remember reading that her and the BF were fighting about cigarettes. Cigarettes??? Like someone took the last one, or to expensive to buy....

"She left the house late Monday night after arguing with her boyfriend about cigarettes, Waltz said, and didn’t return."

This link says the wrong missing women at the time, but brings you to Lisa's story.

Eh.

I wonder if maybe she was hiding somewhere at first, just until the sun came up.

If the suicide was spontaneous, it goes against hiding until the morning light.
If it was planned, it goes against not having her glasses.

I don't think she committed suicide. That's my gut feeling. I really can't into the reasons why I think that...
But this BF has a history.

I have dealt with suicides in my role as Pastor's wife...we have dealt with murders...and stillborn babies...and shootings and all kinds of tragedies. I have seen people's cries for help...and I have seen despondent people commit suicide without any warning. But something big is usually leading up to that event. I just can't see a girl who is finally back with her friends in her hometown committing suicide over a cigarette.
