Police searching for missing Bangor man last seen early Friday morning

Francis III, also known as "June Bug," left work Thursday night from Geaghan's Pub and was last seen between 1 and 2 a.m. Friday on Sanford Street, according to a family member.

I kept an eye out for him on my lunch today in case he came to this side of town. I'm hoping the search efforts aren't hampered by the snow we're getting, and that he's found, safe and sound.

Francis III is around 5 foot 6 inches and was most likely wearing jeans, boots, a sweatshirt and a beanie hat.

I don't really know what to think about this. We do have our share of crimes, disappearances and bizarre events here, but it's usually a low incident rate.

It's a tidal river, so its depths and currents depend on the tide. Its banks are different depending on where. It's steep in some places, gently slopes in others, and is beach like in a few areas. Sanford St isn't super duper close to the river's edge, depending on which end of the street he was on. If it was near the YWCA, he'd be just over the hill, near one of the bridges. The other end is a bit further away.
There was a young man who fell off the train trestle north of Bangor last spring. A couple of months later, he finally surfaced on a swift current and went right past the Bangor waterfront. Very tragic case.

There is a fb site for this made by the family as well. They're asking people to post it on their page. Also, if anyone is near the area, they are asking for search party help and help putting up posters. Apparently the river is running quite quickly at the moment and the weather is very cold. They're hoping he may have gone someplace else. There may have been a siting at Dysarts in Maine.

I'm sorry but I have been following this case. Who was at the party? Have the people he was last seen with been questioned? I find it hard to believe they do not know anything. I would be interested to know what transpired before he went missing. These people should be questioned. Why hasn't the police given any type of press conference. I hope he just took off but doesn't seem to be the case. His poor family must be going through hell.

he is obviously very loved. many people involved looking but why no press conference from police. I dont get it. Thank God for all the people looking to help find him it is pretty amazing
