Okay...I had a look at his NamUs profile and saw something that caught my eye "linear scars on arms". My first thought "Possible self harming?".

I'm not sure, but you could ask the folks on his FB page, they're very nice!

I don't really use FB and I don't want to offend anyone. I know some "theories" can be very hurtful and upsetting to some loved ones. They would know IF he has or had any known mental health issues in the past. It just stood out to me.

“Without disclosing specifics, in the days leading up to his disappearance, Mr. Francis’ actions were consistent with a person who would be considered despondent,” Bushey said in an email interview.

Oh no...I'm starting to think this could be a suicide and he hasn't been located yet.

It appears as if things may be going in that direction, but, according to his FB search page, they just don't know, that's why they are searching everywhere and exploring all options. Not having any direction to go in is also why they are keeping an eye on the river.
I don't think they even know for sure if he were on foot or not, but if he were in a vehicle, he could be just about anywhere by now.

Maybe he's safe and warm somewhere.

Another set of remains has been found in Bucksport along the banks of the Penobscot River (I believe today), but it hasn't hit the MSM yet that I could find. This area is down river from the search area.

Per the FB search page, they won't know one way or the other if it's him until Tuesday.
Prayers to his friends and family, the waiting must be difficult.
There is a slight chance the remains could belong to another MP who was seen jumping into the river in 2010, we don't know what the state of of decomposition the remains were found in, however.

A local news station just announced that the body found in Bucksport was that of June Bug.
Will post a link once it's up.
