She was measured at 5'4", 130 lbs full rigor. The only personal effects that were sent with her body was her jewelry, so I assume her clothing was destroyed. Her teeth were in good shape with no fillings. Her dentals were XRAYED. A forensic anthropologist estimated her between 13-15 years of age. No food in her tummy, no prior fractures any where and NO BROKEN BONES except a very broken skull. Her female parts were completely unremarkable, so it seems clear she was never pregnant. Her face was swollen on the R side due to leakage from her spinal column-she had multiple separated fractures C1 and up. She had a contusion on her L temple. What I found remarkable was that she didn't put her hands down when she went out of the car, and she certainly didn't go feet first. Alot of her injuries were a result of her head hitting and then something similar to shaken baby syndrome...she appeared to have no other internal injuries. She seemed to have an odd-ball bruise to her chest above her breast and there does not seem to be an explanation for her lip as far as I can see. She was definitely covered with huge road-rash that I bet tore the clothing off of her for the most part....like a motorcycle accident victim. BUT NO OThER BROKEN BONES...sorry, this is my only comment about the event that I will allow myself since it has nothing to do with ID'ing her...I think she was punched in the mouth before she went out of the window and she had no chance to get her hands down so I wonder if she was conscious completely or if she was face up? So she probably had help getting out of the window....imo...

You know I had been thinking of her possibly being abused/beaten and maybe they knocked her unconsious and they panicked and decided to throw her from a moving vehicle to cover up the beating. IDK though it seems like it would be hard to throw a lifeless 130 lb body out of a small window.

Thanks for the update that is really informative. Poor girl she went through so much thats just horrible. It seems like it would be an automatic reaction to put your arms out to catch yourself, and break both arms/hands in the process

Maybe she landed face up.

I agree. I'm only 5'3", and had the same model car a few years ago. To me it seems like it would take quite a bit of effort to get out of that window, even on purpose.

It's possible that she may have turned somewhat in using whatever leverage (I'm thinking Lindsey's lap or legs) she used to jump. That's assuming her head was face down when she started out the window. Or she may have been face up - using the roof of the car to pull herself out. It definitely sounds like she initially landed on the back of her head. IIRC, the truck driver and his passenger said she rolled quite a lot. This tells me that our pal Alonzo was NOT slowing down to let her out of the car. I've never seen anything that said they were going slower than 75 miles an hour when she went out of that window. Not only does that show no indication of slowing down, but that he was actually speeding. And in 1999, 75 mph would most likely have been 20 mph over the limit. I can totally believe he hit her - maybe that's what frightened her enough to jump. She knew she was in danger inside that car.

I personally think she went out the door back wards That's why her head took the blunt of the hit. I have thought this from the very beginning. If Lindsey wanted to keep her from jumping out the window she could have stopped her by holding on to her since she was supposedly across her lap. However I still think she went out the door not the window. I think that's why her spine was messed up also. IMO

I believe it's been established she DID, in fact go out the window. I do believe that Lindsey did not try very hard to keep her from jumping, but that's neither here nor there. She went out the window, that doesn't help us in determining WHO SHE IS!!!

Alonzo said he had moved to the slow lane to let her out. This matches what the trucker says that they came upon the car in the right lane travelling slower than they were.

Both Lindsey and the other trucker witness said she went out the window.

Guess we'll never know how fast they were going, but there was obviously great momentum when MJD went out that window. And....I don't, and never will, believe ONE WORD ADF said or says about what happened that day.

I was only giving my opinion You can't always believe everything in a police report since things do get mixed up sometimes especially in this case since there were so many cops making reports when this happened. I do not believe anything Lindsey has said.

Okay - whatever. The police report is really all we have to go on at this point. If you are able to speak personally to Alonzo and/or Lindsey - please do!

Spine?

I think this is what they meant by spine. Also, regarding the Lip/mouth, I always thought it appeared one or more of her front teeth appear to be missing. In one of the pics you can see her tounge kind of sticking through. If he punched her prior to being thrown out the window there could have been teeth in the car. I wonder if the ME report list missing teeth.

Her stomach would obviously be empty by the time it got to the autopsy because she did live for a short while in the hospital. All of her food would have been digested by then.

Poor thing. I wonder if she would have been paralyzed, had she lived. "Multiple, separated C1 fractures". Very top of the spinal cord. I wonder if she had landed near the top of her head to cause the spinal fractures? Someone mentioned GHB, but from what I understand, GHB is metabolized rather quickly and usually doesn't show up on a tox screen. If they were smoking pot, THC should have showed up.

Ahhh-thanks...the C1 vertebrae is the top of the spine-really more of the neck. The separation of the vertebra and the fracture at the base of the skull to the right caused the spinal column to leak the fluid I believe. The rest of her spine/back was fine. No other breaks. Her teeth were intact, no fillings.
