21-year-old Ryan Lamontagne left his apartment, and there is a concern about his well being.
It's believed he was wearing a flat brimmed hat.

Veazie police looking for man who hasn’t been seen since New Year’s Day
He’s 5’7”, weighs 145 pounds, and has brown hair down to his shoulders. He wears wire-frame glasses and may have on a flat-brimmed hat.

Anyone with information on Lamontagne’s whereabouts is asked to call Veazie police at 207-947-2358.

From what I can tell, DEEMI Search and Rescue met with LE and deployed resources on Jan 10 and 11. It sounds like they performed an aerial search since they requested clearance from the FAA. DEEMI Search and Rescue

Another post on Jan 25 reads:

The body found in the Penobscot River near Verona Island last week has been identified as Ryan Lamontagne who was last seen on New Year’s Day after leaving his apartment without telling anyone.

Police told the BDN his death does not appear suspicious.

It is very sad that it took them so long to recover him. This is a long time to be in the river, I wish we knew more on how he wasn't found before now.
