POLICE are appealing for help to find a missing Tameside man who was last seen at the start of December.

Sharing a picture of 50-year-old Paul Ryan on Facebook today, Greater Manchester Police said he lives in Denton but has links to Ashton and Dunkinfield.

The post stated: "We are appealing for help to find a man missing from Tameside.

"Paul Ryan, 50, was last seen at around 2.30pm on Wednesday 1 December 2021.

"He is described as being white, approximately 5ft 11in tall and of a medium build with blonde hair.

"Paul lives in Denton but has links to the Ashton and Dukinfield areas.

"Officers and Paul's family are concerned for his welfare and want to ensure he is safe and well.

"Anyone with information should contact police on 0161 856 9262 quoting 1782 of 02/12/21."

Officers have called off the search for a Tameside man who went missing the day of his mother's funeral after a body was found yesterday.

Paul Ryan was last seen at around 9pm on Manchester Road in Denton on December 1 last year.

That was the day of his mother’s funeral — which he never attended.

In the evening, Paul, of Mansfield Crescent in Denton, was pictured in an Asda store on Cavendish Street, Ashton.

Just after 1pm yesterday, a body was found at Audenshaw Reservoir.

The body has not yet been formally identified, but is thought to be Paul, and his family have been made aware.
