they had to interview him and investigate his story first. I hope they have all their ducks in a row and have the evidence they need to put valerie's murderer away. No doubt le has been watching and waiting for him to slip up somehow so they could get probable cause to search his property (i think he messed up in his fb posts and speaking to the press). They can't just go digging in the backyard of every family who has a loved-one go missing. I understand the frustration, but try to re-focus it on the 🤬🤬🤬 who killed valerie and hope le has enough to nail him good.

Btw: :welcome4:

RBBM.

I know one FB post he made (sorry, since he isn't an official POI -yet-, I am not going to provide a link :() that I found particularly suspicious was the one about he and detectives finding footprints, one set belonging to a man, and another to a woman (the latter of which, according to him, matched Valerie's shoe pattern and shoe size). I thought it was really weird that he said specifically that the footprints were no more than a day old. How could he (or the detectives) have known that when, according to him, they were found the same day he made the post (i.e., no time for LE to further investigate, test, etc.). Besides, how convenient is it that the footprints were found at one of the locations HE had last seen her? So, he takes the detectives to this location (which, by the way, is a 20 minutes drive from where he and Valerie lived), and they just happen to stumble upon these freshly-left-behind shoe-prints?

One theory I have is that he planted the shoe-prints, using a pair of Valerie's shoes that were still at home. I, too, think that LE were keeping a close watch on him, and caught him discarding the shoes from which the prints came (or found them in his garbage, etc.), allowing them to obtain the search warrant.

I am just so sad for Valerie; I am sure the last few months of her life were not very pleasant. It sounds like she was beautiful inside and out. RIP ... :(.

I hope her husband doesn't do something selfish and cowardly that will then prevent him from paying for what he's done. Hope LE is watching him closely.

Yeah...I posted this twice because it made no sense!
I think those wonderful detectives were happy to go out with him looking for Valerie! Just my humble opinion.

I am so sorry the family couldn't protect her from guys like him.
I have twenty something Kiddo's and I know I have to give them wings and hope they are with the right person who truly cares/loves them.
I mean all the posts bragging on his wife...yeah we want our spouses to be happy and brag on us but his was overboard and icked me!

I've been lurking here for years but this is my first post. I've been following this case on Facebook and something about Valerie really touched me. Seeing posts by people that knew her painted a picture of a sweet, thoughtful and kind person that was very loved by her family and friends. I had desperately hoped she'd be found alive but feared the worst for reasons you've all already stated. This is really heartbreaking.

His bragging on her was suspicious and icky the way he went about it (IMO). I know we can't discuss details yet but the one word that I can think of that describes it is EGO. Major ego.

The one post where he used the word submissive really bothered me- who talks about their wife that way?

Darn it. I hope her family finds peace and gets justice.

I was eating dinner as I read this and lost my appetite.

Her husband seems very much a Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde character with the interviews/the way he talks about her on social media etc. JMOO.

This case makes me ill. I'm so sorry for her family and friends. I was hoping it wouldn't end like this; it's just not fair.

:(

I can't imagine there not being an arrest soon. It seems there were several head scratching choices made.

She's been dead for likely around 1 month (maybe more) without anyone even realizing... and she's so loved... that's devastating

So sorry to hear this news. My prayers are with her loved ones.

As soon as I saw that, the first thing I thought of was the bdsm community. I have friends that live that lifestyle, but I just don't get it.

MSM live feed shows a garden shed and LE is coming and going from behind that shed on the rural property. Cameras clicking, muffled voices and the sound of traffic from out on the road.

My heart is hurting for Valerie and her many, many loved ones.

ETA: MSM cameras have now been moved back from garden shed area.

How arrogant is that sob to bury her on his property???

I'm not surprised that her body was apparently found. I'm very surprised however that it was found on that property. If she was murdered, her killer probably had weeks to transfer the body to a remote location where it might never be discovered. Why would the body be left where it could easily be found? Given the timeline, I was afraid that the body would never be found.
