Freeport Police Department is investigating a missing person complaint. Any assistance in locating the missing person Wendy Lewis 55 years old is appreciated. Lewis was last seen around 3 PM on July 7, 2021 in Freeport at Irving.

Her vehicle was noticed in Bristol near the Salt Pond Preserve around 5 PM on the same day. Lewis’s last phone activity was in the Bristol area around 4:30 PM on July 7, 2021.

She is described as Height: 5-3” Weight: 160 lbs. Hair: Brown Eyes: Brown.

•The Maine Warden Service and the Maine Marine Patrol joined the sheriff's office in searching for Lewis at the Salt Pond Preserve

On July 8 at around noon, Lewis’s vehicle was found by police at the end of a driveway on Salt Pond Road in Bristol, Maine.

The gas station/convenience store in Freeport (the last place she was seen per initial reporting) is just 8 miles from Dunkin' Donuts in Brunswick where she was seen on video, or an 11-12 minute drive. So, she was headed in the direction of Bristol. Why? In whose driveway was her car found? MOO

Maine officials are looking for a woman from the town of Freeport that went missing

Beginning at the :13 mark in the video above...

Yesterday afternoon someone reported her vehicle in the driveway of a seasonal home on Salt Pond Road in Bristol. Authorities are searching in the neighborhood of New Harbor. The warden service is checking the woods and the Marine Patrol and Coast Guard are searching the waters and shoreline there.

UPDATE: Sadly, the body of the missing woman was found by a fisherman a few miles off shore. Cause of death is unknown at this time. The Coast Guard assisted with the recovery. All our thoughts and prayers go out to her family.
