I know social media is not "real" but her persona on facebook and this alleged murder feel so incongruent. Like usually there's some kind of red flag or something. She seems like a kind and peaceful person. MOO.

My impression also. I did find something from August 2023. A friend organized a fundraiser on a well known site for Megan. She suffered a SCAD heart attack and was very ill. 132 people donated, that says IMO she is well thought of at her job and in her community.

I have no idea if there is a parallel between what she suffered last year and the horrific murder of her son. Thought I would mention in case we have medical professionals drop in.

She also seems to have lost a significant amount of weight over the last six months or so, based on Facebook pictures versus the booking photo. Definitely a drastic change in appearance. Not necessarily strange after a major health event but combined with the apparent chopping of her hair, the anti-suicide vest, and, obviously, what she was just arrested for— point towards what her recent mental status may have been, IMO.

MM is wearing a suicide smock and holding a jail suicide blanket. Usually given to people that are classified as a high suicide risk.

Neighbors also told Maine's Total Coverage that McDonald is a nurse who worked at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta.

A spokesperson for the UMaine System confirmed to Maine's Total Coverage that McDonald previously served as a part-time clinical site instructor in the University of Maine at Augusta's nursing program from August 2021 through August 2022.

Curioser and curioser. Why still no ID for the victim? (I am aware that the media reports the victim was the son of the accused. But no disclosure yet by the AG's Office that I am aware of.) And why are all the documents impounded? Is there another party involved that has not yet been revealed to the public? Perhaps someone police don't want to tip off?
