Circuit Court Judge Stan Strickland, who is presiding over the first-degree murder case against Casey Anthony, signed an order today requiring that she attend all future hearings.

The one page order states that although Casey Anthony has a right to waive her appearance in writing, her absence may create future problems.

The order states that Casey Anthony does not have to attend any scheduling or trial status hearings.

ORLANDO -- George Anthony has been involved with the case surrounding his daughter and daughter since the day Caylee was reported missing.

Anthony was on the front lines at the very beginning, trying to get the word out about his missing granddaughter, Caylee. He staffed special posts, handing out fliers and wearing T-shirts, hoping someone may have seen the little girl.

Cindy Anthony said she noticed prescription medicine bottles and a picture of herself and of their daughter, Casey Anthony, missing from the house along with her husband.

According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office incident report, George Anthony began sending text messages at 10:47 p.m. Thursday.

His wife told members of the sheriff's office that the messages sent to her and other friends said that he did not want to live anymore, and that he wanted to be with Caylee. Cindy Anthony said he also texted that he wanted to be left alone and to make sure Caylee was in God's arms.

Law School Hires Jose Baez To Teach Students

Casey Anthony's attorney has faced plenty of criticism in the case for forgetting the judge's jurisdiction and for improperly filing court motions. Eyewitness News has now learned Jose Baez has been hired by FAMU law school to teach up-and-coming lawyers.

Baez is not teaching freshmen, he's teaching upper-level classes how to get ready for trial.

Jose Baez passed the bar exam just three years ago. He has already confused jurisdiction and botched a motion in the Casey Anthony case. Now, he's teaching law students at FAMU.

Before the remains were found, he would get angry when reporters asked whether Caylee could be dead. He confronted protesters outside his house. And in December, several days after Caylee's remains were found, Anthony was spotted in his car, bowing his head and crying.

According to the sheriff's report, Cindy Anthony said Thursday night that her husband had been "upset and depressed" about his granddaughter's death. She feared he might have become more depressed when she asked him Wednesday to pick out jewelry for Caylee's funeral, the report said.

Some people showed up just to see what's happening. One person visiting Florida said the day's events compelled him to swing by.

He said he feels for what George and the entire Anthony family is going through.

&#8220;Well I didn't believe what was going on when you see it in Michigan. All the news people here and I look at myself as a man his age and I just think 'boy I'd hate to have this going on in my life.' Jose Baez wants prosecutors to turn over information about Ricardo Morales, including details about a forensic examination conducted on his computer.

Baez said he wants to determine if the evidence is incriminating, so he filed the motion, which could be heard as early as Friday.

George Anthony, the father of Casey Anthony, won't be released from a Daytona Beach hospital Monday, but attorney Brad Conway told Eyewitness News that it's possible George will be released this week. Halifax Medical Center confirmed George would remain hospitalized Monday.

George could have been released Monday morning, because the 72-hour required stay under Florida's Baker Act had expired. Conway said they are still waiting on doctors to confirm a treatment plan. That may include George being released to a treatment facility closer to his Orange County home.
