For an hour and thirteen minutes Thursday, Casey Anthony's former best friend, Annie Downing, was grilled by attorneys.

Did Cindy -- or did you ask Casey at any time about chloroform? Do you remember that?" asked Zenaida's attorneys. "A Yeah, I did the first time that we were over there. I did ask her that, Casey. She said they're cleaning supplies in the back of my cars, which I believe because that family cleans 24/7. Like everything they have is spotless, and it wouldn't surprise me if there was cleaning supplies, something in the back of her car. There always was," said Downing.

Downing said while she'd never met or heard of Zenaida Gonzalez from Casey, she did believe in her gut that Caylee did have a nanny or a babysitter. She just wasn't sure if that babysitter was male or female.

Local 6 News investigative reporter Tony Pipitone continued his research into the timeline of Anthony's life, saying her "lies to her friend Amy Huizenga were getting harder to maintain. Anthony claimed she was going to rent or buy a house for her, Caylee and Huizenga to share.

On May 21, 2008, Anthony sent a text message to Huizenga, saying "I'm defintely sick" and adding a sad face emoticon.

In the afternoon of May 21, 2008, Anthony sent Huizenga another text message.

Pipitone said records show that Anthony then got inline and was contacted by a man who would change the course of her life, Tony Lazzaro.

In just more than three weeks from that day in Anthony's life, Caylee would never be seen alive again, and Anthony would soon move in with Lazzaro, a man who told her if he were to have kids one day, he would only want boys, according to released documents.

Even though the hour long deposition involved the civil case against Anthony, it is a preview of what we will most likely be heard if and when her murder trial comes to the Orange County courthouse.

Annie Downing was able to comment for the first time about the conversation she had with Casey after her arrest.

Casey Anthony's former best friend Annie Downing says right after she got of jail the first time last year, Casey almost confided in her about Caylee's disappearance.

&#8220;She would start saying something and I would back out of it, I really didn't want to know, I didn't want to be that person that knew everything,&#8221; said Downing.

Prosecutors in the case against Casey Anthony handed over this week more evidence to her defense team.

Court records show just over 100 pages of new documents were turned over to her attorney, Jose Baez, this week.

It's not known what was in the new material.

Since the case began, investigators have generated just under 6,500 pages of evidence, interviews and other material.

Casey Anthony: Judge will allow NBC's camera in civil case

Earlier this week, the judge in the defamation suit against Casey Anthony had said that it was unacceptable for NBC to bring its camera into the courtroom.

Sanders had what he called "a spirited discussion" with the judge after a hearing Tuesday. The judge didn't want camera operators disrupting the hearing, and somebody heard the judge tell Sanders, "I'm not going to let this turn into another Lindbergh kidnapping case." Rodriguez simply wanted a camera in the hearing left on a wide shot.

"My concern was that as he was telling us we couldn't zoom in or pan, he was effectively climbing into the camera and making editorial decisions," Sanders said."I told him we see the camera as no different from someone in the court. They can look to the left or right."

Judge To Rule On Video Of Casey&#8217;s Reaction To Remains

A big hearing is expected this week in the Casey Anthony criminal case.

An Orange County judge will decide if the videotape of Anthony's reaction to news of the discovery of her daughter&#8217;s remains will be made public.

However, Anthony's attorneys are trying to get the release of that tape blocked. They say she never should have been recorded in the first place.

A hearing on the issue is set for Thursday at 10AM.

Also today, WFTV-Channel 9 noted that Anthony's defense team hopes to block the release of a jail videotape showing her reaction when Caylee's remains were found in December. Anthony is charged with her daughter's murder. WFTV likes to highlight that Anthony was watching the station's coverage in the jail.

"She supposedly collapsed and started hyperventilating after watching our news coverage in December," WFTV anchor Vanessa Echols said.

The way WFTV keeps noting that Anthony was watching its coverage is odd. This weird bragging makes it seem as if Casey Anthony was reacting to something specific to WFTV's coverage. Could it have been the sight of Kathi Belich?

Bringing awareness to missing children

A big event was held in Daytona Beach Monday to remember and hopefully dig up clues about several high profile missing children. Even George and Cindy Anthony showed up as their daughter sits in jail charged with the murder of their granddaughter Caylee.

Speedpark Motorsports in Daytona Beach along with the group Take 25 held a free event for parents to encourage them to talk to their children about child safety. Dozens of families came out to bring recognition to the thousands of kids who are missing

Cindy Anthony spent some time on the track drag racing. Team Trenton on hand, handing out flyers hoping someone will know where Trenton Duckett is. &#8220;It's not too hard to come out to do these events people talk to you. You share your stories with each other, and just continue to move forward,&#8221; said Josh Duckett.

Florida Rules Require Certain Standards For Death Penalty Cases

Anthony's attorney Jose Baez said he plans to introduce the team's new death-penalty-qualified attorney at a Thursday hearing.

According to the Florida Rules of Criminal Procedure, attorneys must meet certain minimum standards to handle death cases. These standards, for example, include requirements about the number of trials "of serious and complex" cases, such as murder.

With a trial date still set for October, the new lead lawyer's learning curve will be steep. This week, Baez plans to ask the judge to throw out a video made by law enforcement of Casey Anthony's emotional reaction to her daughter Caylee's remains being found Dec. 11.

A new Caylee Anthony memorial is in the works to replace rain-soaked toys and letters that were removed from an East Orange County spot where her remains were found.

A man laid the first new teddy bear since the massive make-shift memorial was moved, Monday night near Suburban Drive and Hope Spring Drive.

A couple from Delaware also showed up wanting to pay their respects to Caylee.
It is unknown who removed the memorial Monday night.

An infamous picture showing Casey Anthony wrapped only in the American flag at an "anything-but-clothes" party was taken a year ago on Memorial Day weekend.

Local 6 News reporter Tony Pipitone continues to revisit the past year in the life of Anthony, who is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee, whose remains were found in December. Caylee was 2 years old when she was reported missing in July, about a month after she was last seen alive.

The controversial picture was taken on Sunday, May 25, 2008, at the party hosted by Iassen Donov.

Casey Anthony's new attorney to be revealed Thursday

Thursday's 10AM hearing will focus on several requests filed by Baez. He wants cell phone records, including any photos and text messages, from a dozen people, including Casey Anthony's parents, friends, the meter reader who found Caylee's remains, and the deputy who overlooked a tip.

Some are fighting the request, saying it's too broad and violates their privacy.

The judge will also hear arguments about why the state should or should not release video of Anthony at the jail the day she learned a child's remains were found near her home. Jail officers reported she hyperventilated.

Baez also wants jail officials to stop monitoring and disclosing any communication between Casey Anthony and her defense team.

George Anthony is glad memorial to Caylee is gone
The makeshift memorial for Caylee Anthony, daughter of Casey Anthony, has been removed.

It is not clear who removed the makeshift memorial to the slain 2-year-old on Suburban Drive, just a short walk from where she lived with her mother, Casey Anthony, and her grandparents, George and Cindy Anthony, in east Orange County.

Today, George Anthony told the Orlando Sentinel that a neighbor told him Tuesday the lot was cleared. He didn't know who did it.

"To be honest, I'm glad it's been cleaned up," said Anthony. "I, deep inside, appreciate how people care for Caylee. There are no words inside I can express for the people who have come to love her. But her body and spirit aren't there. They're gone. She's with God. She's with Jesus."

"My memory of my granddaughter is here (at the house), the last time I held her," said Anthony. "My memory of her is not down there at the end of the street."

Massive Dirty, Wet Caylee Memorial Removed

The Anthony family's attorney, Brad Conway, told WESH 2 this week he was going to approach the county about cleaning up the site. A source with Orange County told WESH 2 they did not remove the memorial. Other sources indicate the land owner had it removed. Calls to his real estate agent listing the property were not immediately returned. The site is listed for sale at $89,900.

Just this week, one of the people subpoenaed, Casey's former fiancée, Jesse Grund, filed an objection in court saying Baez' subpoena is too broad and would constitute an invasion of privacy. Others, including Casey Anthony's friend Amy Huizenga and the man who discovered Caylee's remains, Roy Kronk, have filed similar objections.

Not grandparents George and Cindy Anthony, their attorney told WESH's Bob Kealing this afternoon.

"He said the Anthonys had nothing to do with the memorial actually being removed," Kealing said. But the grandparents are happy that elementary children won't have to look at it on their way to school.

The mound of stuffed animals is gone, but no-trespassing signs and a small religious statue remain.

A source at Orange County told Kealing that the land's owner had it cleared. The owner hopes to sell it, and Kealing reported that the half-acre parcel is listed at $89,900.

Nothing is left but dirt. Sources tell FOX 35 it was removed between 10:00 p.m. Monday and 1:00 a.m. Tuesday.

The makeshift memorial marks where a meter reader found Caylee's remains in December. People from across the country have left trinkets there for her. But to this day her grandfather has not been down there. He just can't do it. He says it&#8217;s just too hard. &#8220;I'm glad it&#8217;s cleared up. I know I'm going to catch some flack for that. The items down there were rotting...there was some kind of odor down there. It smelled.&#8221;

George Anthony asks whoever still wants to memorialize Caylee donate to a children&#8217;s charity or to Caylee's foundation.
