A letter from Casey Anthony's mother after her daughter fell and chipped her tooth are among the hundreds of pages of evidence just released today.

"I'm so glad you were able to get your tooth fixed,'' a letter from Cindy Anthony says. Casey Anthony is accused of killing her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee Marie, in 2008. "Well you have the same broken one I do & stitches in your lip just like" her brother, Lee Anthony, Cindy Anthony wrote in a June letter.

Cindy Anthony also wrote another letter to her daughter in May.

In it she told her daughter that authorities should be looking for "the real person who took our Caylee."

She expressed concern about her daughter's safety and the safety of their family during the upcoming murder trial.

*The Orlando Sentinel is reviewing all the documents released today and will provide updates this afternoon.

“Saving the home that Caylee grew up in is the single best piece of news they've had in well over two years,” said Conway.

Does Cindy Anthony Really Believe Caylee's Alive?
Expert Weighs In On Response During Testimony

Hearing Cindy Anthony say she still believes her granddaughter Caylee is alive makes many think one of two things: she's got some serious mental health issues, or she's in deep denial.

A mental health counselor said both may be true, but he also introduced a third theory.

It was a statement that can only be described as shocking.

Casey Anthony: George, Cindy Anthony will remain in home, WESH reports

Brad Conway, attorney for George and Cindy Anthony, said that through mediation and negotiation the couple extended their mortgage and lowered the payments. But Kealing noted that the settlement hadn’t been filed in court, and the attorney who handled the foreclosure case — free of charge — wasn’t commenting.

“Saving the home that Caylee grew up in is probably the best piece of news they’ve had in well over two years,” Conway told Kealing.

Baez Tries To Block Conversation In Anthony Case
Baez Claims Inmate Admitted To Conspiring Against Casey

POSTED: 5:41 pm EDT July 19, 2010
UPDATED: 2:26 pm EDT July 20, 2010
<snipped>
Casey Anthony's defense attorney, Jose Baez, is asking the judge to prevent prosecutors from releasing an audiotape of Baez speaking on the phone to a department of corrections inmate. Robin Lunceford, a career criminal serving life in prison, has 27 aliases according to her listing at the Orange County Department of Corrections.

Defense attorney Richard Hornsby said all of the inmates who have come forward to offer information lack credibility. "I'm willing to bet the state is not going to rely on these jailhouse snitches in the first place," Hornsby said.

In an odd twist, prosecutors obtained a copy of Lunceford's recorded call from prison with Baez and they plan to release it as discovery evidence. In an effort to block that from happening, Baez filed a motion for protective order claiming he didn't know the inmate's call to him was recorded.

Prosecution says Casey Anthony lawyer Jose Baez was told prison inmate call was recorded
1:14 p.m. EDT, July 27, 2010
<snipped>
The chief prosecutor in the Casey Anthony case says that defense attorney Jose Baez knew that a call he received from a prison inmate about his high-profile murder case was being recorded, according to a new court filing. Baez has asked the court to seal the May 31 call of a conversation he had with state prison inmate Robin Lunceford. The prosecution wants it included in discovery, which would make it public.

Baez argued to have a protective order placed on the phone conversation, insisting he was not aware he was being recorded and that the discussion represented "work product." But in a response filed Tuesday, Assistant State Attorney Linda Drane Burdick wrote: "The assertion in the defendant's motion that Mr. Baez was 'never made aware that the call was being recorded' is simply untrue."

The prosecutor's response says the Baez Law Firm received two calls from Lunceford, an inmate at the state Department of Corrections' Lowell facility near Ocala. The first call came in at 6:34 p.m. and was answered by a Baez legal assistant. That call started with a recorded message, according to the filing. The message states the call is a "prepaid collect call" from a state inmate and that the call "is subject to recording and monitoring."

An arrangement is made for the caller to call back at 7 p.m. to speak with Baez directly. At 7:01 p.m., inmate Lunceford calls again and "Mr. Baez hears the same warning detailed above and accepts the call," Burdick's response states.

Prosecutors Claim Baez Has 'Faulty Memory'
Baez Seeks To Have Conversations With Inmate Sealed

Prosecutors accused Casey Anthony's defense attorney on Tuesday of having a "faulty memory" and making "simply untrue" claims about recorded phone calls with a prison inmate.

Jose Baez has filed two motions in an attempt to have his conversations with state prison inmate Robin Lunceford sealed.

Prosecutors said Baez's claims that he didn't know the call was being recorded are "simply untrue."

Casey Anthony: Roy Kronk says, ‘Doing the right thing is its own reward’ — is it?

July 30th, 2010 by halboedeker
<snipped>
How did it go for Roy Kronk today?

Casey Anthony’s defense team was very polite during a two and a half deposition, Kronk told WESH-Ch. 2’s Bob Kealing. Kronk is the former meter reader who found Caylee Anthony’s remains.

Kronk said he would do it all over again. ”Doing the right thing is its own reward,” Kronk told reporters.

Kealing noted that Anthony’s defense team “slipped away without answering more questions about how today’s deposition went.” Casey Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee. WOFL-Ch. 35’s Holly Bristow said the defense had not returned her calls for comment on the deposition.

Before the deposition, Anthony defense attorney Cheney Mason said the team was “focusing on establishing reasonable doubt for various aspects of the case.”

Casey Anthony: Robin Lunceford sent letters to Central Florida News 13
posted by halboedeker on July, 19 2010 3:55 PM
<snipped>
Central Florida News 13 interviewed prison inmate Robin Lunceford last week before her name emerged in the Casey Anthony saga. “She had sent letters to me. That’s how her name came to my attention,” reporter/anchor Adam Longo said.

Longo estimated that two weeks elapsed between the time he heard from Lunceford and their interview Wednesday at the Lowell Correctional Institute in Ocala. Anthony attorney Jose Baez filed a motion Thursday to seal a call he received from Lunceford. “I knew she had reached out to him,” Longo said. “I didn’t know about the recorded phone call and Baez wanting to suppress the recorded call. The story focuses on her claims. Can she be believed? You decide.”

Lunceford alleges Maya Derkovic, her former cellmate at Lowell, and Robyn Adams conspired to make up stories about Anthony. Derkovic, Adams and Anthony had been pen pals at the Orange County Jail. Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee.

Prison officials told Longo that Derkovic was transferred after she had a falling-out with Lunceford and the two women threatened each other. “That is supposedly why Derkovic was transferred,” Longo said. “Prison officials say the transfer had nothing to do with the case against Casey.”

Casey's Defense Investigating George Anthony
Posted: 4:37 pm EDT July 19, 2010
Updated: 6:01 pm EDT July 19, 2010
<snipped>
There is a shift of the blame in the case against Casey Anthony. Documents released only to WFTV Monday show, for the first time, Casey's lawyers are investigating her father. WFTV legal analyst Bill Sheaffer said the defense may be trying to discredit him, or possibly blame George Anthony.

The defense has spent about $4,000 of taxpayers' money so far on Casey's defense, and most of it on its private investigator.

Records obtained by WFTV show the defense is investigating George Anthony's suicide attempt. They did it to her ex-fiance, Jesse Grund, who was willing to raise another man's child as his own. The defense did it to meter reader Roy Kronk, who found Caylee Anthony’s remains near the Anthonys’ home on Hopespring Drive.

Now, the defense team could be doing it to Casey Anthony’s father, trying to discredit George. Records show her defense team's private eye has investigated George's suicide attempt the month after Caylee was found.

“The defense will have to discredit George, because George has some information that is damning to the defense,” Sheaffer said.

NEXT IN THE CASE AGAINST CASEY
The defense is asking for a hearing to seal Jose Baez's phone conversation with inmate, Robin Lunceford. Meanwhile, a status hearing is scheduled for August 30. The defense is also expected to depose eleven people next month.

Casey's Attorney Hanging Hopes On Inmate
Posted: 5:28 pm EDT July 16, 2010
Updated: 6:18 pm EDT July 16, 2010
<snipped>
There is a new witness in the case against Casey Anthony. WFTV learned Friday that Casey Anthony's attorney, Jose Baez, is hanging hopes on a state prison inmate.

Robin Lunceford is in for life and it isn't the first time she's inserted herself into a high-profile criminal case. Lunceford claims she can discredit key state witnesses, Baez said. Casey's lawyers say Lunceford claims Casey's jail friends, Maya Derkovic and Robyn Adams, made up incriminating stories about her.

Baez might just have had the bad luck of getting caught up in the ongoing criminal investigation involving Lunceford, which might be why their call was recorded. She has been disciplined for calling unapproved people by having calls forwarded to them.

DEFENSE TEAM CANCELS DEPOS
Casey’s defense team cancelled scheduled depositions for three Orange County sheriff's investigators Friday. At this point, Casey's attorneys have not given a reason for canceling the deposition, nor have they said when they will be rescheduled.

People Magazine: Casey Anthony Loses Bid to Exclude Mom's 911 Tapes from Trial
Friday July 16, 2010 09:50 AM EDT
<snipped>
Lawyers for accused murderer Casey Anthony were unsuccessful in their bid to prevent from being played at trial tapes of the 911 calls made by Casey's mother after she learned her 2-year-old granddaughter Caylee was missing.
Mother Faces Daughter
Facing her daughter in an Orlando courtroom, Cindy Anthony testified that she was in a panic after Casey told her that she hadn't seen Caylee in a month. Casey's brother, Lee Anthony, testified Thursday that he tried to get more information out of his sister while their "frantic" mother yelled at her.

"She was very angry," he said, referring to mother Cindy. "Her first reaction was she had a clenched fist and hit the bed my sister was sitting on and said, 'What did you do? We could have found her 31 days ago.' "

Casey Anthony: The emotion often trumps the news
posted by halboedeker on July, 16 2010 9:15 AM
<snipped>
“An emotional courtroom appearance for Casey Anthony,” NBC’s Meredith Vieira began this morning on “Today.” The emotional part of it usually gains the most attention in the coverage, and so it’s a relief that the decidedly unemotional Judge Belvin Perry is in charge.

NBC’s Kerry Sanders noted ”it was a little surreal” that a court hearing Thursday about Cindy Anthony’s 911 calls fell “two years to the day” that those calls were made. Sanders quickly reported that the judge ruled the 911 calls will be admissible at Casey Anthony’s murder trial. Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee.

Then, in an interview with Vieira, Anthony family attorney Brad Conway said Cindy is doing better today after being anxious about testifying yesterday. Conway said it is Cindy’s “hope, that’s her wish” that Caylee is alive and “until she is ready to relinquish that it’s going to stay in her mind.”

Conway said the family remains 100 percent behind Casey. “Love for a family member is not likely to change,” Conway said. “They are a close family. They love each other, and regardless of what happens in this criminal trial, that will always stay the same.”

Conway predicted that the 911 calls will help the prosecution. He said that unemotionally.

Attorney: Casey Anthony's Family Will Always Love Her
7-16-2010
<snipped>
Casey Anthony's parents stand by her as she faces murder charges in the death of her 2-year-old daughter, the family's attorney said today following an emotional courtroom session that reunited the defendant with her mother and father and brother for the first time in over a year.

When asked in an NBC "Today" show interview this morning if the family still stands "100 percent" behind Casey, attorney Brad Conway said, "They do. ... Love for a family member is not likely to change. They are a close family. They love each other, and regardless of what happens in this criminal trial, that will always stay the same."
