Interesting. Even Harvey Levin thinks its nonsense. Harvey Levin has quite a reputation for being rather outspoken. I would think that if he took this seriously, he would be all over it!

This was about Oksana being angry at TMZ for being pro-Mel. If anyone doesn't think this woman is a passive aggressive, psycho, liar -- I don't know what it's going to take to convince you. She is digging herself deeper and deeper...

I don't disagree. And he may do some jail time for the threats.

It's questionable as to whether the verbal and psychological abuse is actionable in court, but certainly the threats of bodily harm ARE, if the tapes are not thrown out.

I think it's worth mentioning too that, while not condoning anything that's said on the tapes, one has to separate the threats, out of all the rest.

Let's assume for the moment that the tapes are undoctored, and admissable and that the Judge allows them.

The only things that can be used against him are the threats.

The rest of it (which is the verbal abuse, racist stuff) may be covered by the 1st Amendment. Is it objectionable, awful and horrible. YES. But people are free to believe and say any horrible, racist thing they want. He has the right to voice an opinion about any minority --- of course it's evil. No one disputes that. But if we restrict his right to say those things, we must also give up our right to say what WE believe.
The problem with the tapes is that it arouses high emotion in the listener on so many levels. It's important to divorce that emotion from what is legally actionable in court.

Does everyone have a right to be outraged over his racism and sexism? Of course!

Well maybe you are just reading more into it? I couldn't care less about her plastic surgeries, although I think she was beautiful before & IMO she may have overdone it. I also don't care if she's a gold-digger. If I ever get married again, I won't be looking for some lazy, broke bum my own self.

Not liking things about Oksana doesn't mean she deserves any of it. The two aren't mutually exclusive.

Please show me where I said she deserved to be spoken to that way. All I have said is we don't know what was really going on with the tapes and the conversation if they are doctored.

Most people make judgements based on how people present themselves and based on their actions. That's just a fact of life. If you do not, then I applaud you.

Is there a bias against Gibson too because he is a mentally ill, substance abuser that is prone to rants? Does his having these flaws automatically make him completely guilty and her an innocent victim in this affair?

UPDATE: The high-powered Jewish Hollywood figure whom Oksana says Mel threatened is reportedly TMZ managing editor Harvey Levin. TMZ reports that earlier this week Oksana's rep told Harvey that Mel had told Oksana he was plotting to kill him.
Oksana claimed that Mel was angry TMZ had broken the story of his 2006 anti-Semitic rant, had Harvey followed to the gym at 4 a.m. and planned to have him kidnapped and left in the desert to die with broken kneecaps.
Her story doesn't check out. Oksana had the wrong gym and never mentioned any of this while negotiating her $15 million settlement in May. Her rep also told Harvey about the threat while complaining about a TMZ story that was not favorable to Oksana.

After I quick scan through various blogs even people that sided with Oksana are now having rather strong doubts about her. This latest story has pushed her credibility right over the edge. Radar is laughing all the way to bank. They don't care what she says as long as she says something. She doesn't care because she is getting paid. She just confirmed to me (once again) that her children are not her first priorty - vengence and money are. No mother in their right mind would do this that was trying to protect her children.

If by boat loads you mean the tapes, then I understand why you would feel that way. However, there is a question as to whether the tapes have been tampered with -- so personally I want to see them evaluated and the evidence presented in court.

In addition to the above, O did not give these tapes to LE but instead leaked them to a tabloid and that calls her credibility into question. Did she know the tapes were tampered with or inadmissable and wanted to contaminate the jury pool or just destroy Gibson? Was she trying to do an end run around the initial agreement for $15 million with regard to the tapes?

I'm just trying to view the facts of the case and not get emotional over what I believe I heard on those tapes. We do not know the full context of the arguments between the two. We are hearing snippets. MG's language and anger do not give me a case of the vapors and send me running for my smelling salts - maybe I have seen too many movies.

All of this and the fact that MG has no history of physical assault - just a lot of mouthing off.

She is suspect to me for many reasons, these are a few.

You know, I had a Dad and Step Dad who both were pretty laid back UNTIL they got mad and then you would hear alot of screaming. It took quite alot to get them mad. I am wondering if M Gibson is like this?
Everyone gets mad. I am justwondering if she said something she KNEW would set him off and then started taping away.
Believe me, my Dad and step Dad were both harmless but if you wouldve taped them during one of their moments, it wouldve sounded BAD.
And...maybe it is why Mels wife came forward in his defense as she would know this?? just wondering

No way-someone who's as abusive as Mel Gibson has proven himself to be (if the tapes are real)- just happend to become that way overnight.

Just the other week, in a court declaration, his ex-wife Robyn stated, "Mel never engaged in any physical abuse of any kind toward me before, during or after our marriage", and described Mel as "a wonderful and loving father".
