The Daily Mail is a bit like a rag magazine. The motivation report quotes the testimony from the people at dinner and places the time of dinner at roughly one hour before they left at 8:45. I would be more inclined to accept the judge's summary of the jury decision over a news source like the Daily Mail.

That places the end of dinner at 7:45, not 6 PM.
Okie. I just find that Motivation report tedious reading.... :(

It is, but it's also a searchable text pdf file, so it's easy to type in "dinner" and find related text.

Ah hah, that explains it! Whenever anyone says "Well, according to p. 271 of the Motivation report...." I have been assuming they were a very learned scholar of Massei, and had more or less memorized chapter and verse......

But IS it mixed DNA or mixed blood as Mignini says? It makes a huge difference: The former is not convincing, the latter is..... :(

It was just Amanda's DNA, no blood. If Mignini were held to the same standard as Amanda for what he says he would also be labeled a liar.

Nope. When times and facts are tossed around, like DNA, haematic substance, luminol, I like to quickly check the report. The DNA evidence is heavy reading, but there's no question that the reports says things like evidence "revealed" by luminol (meaning it was not visible without the luminol), and "haematic substance" meaning there was blood in the barefoot prints ... and so on.

Ahhh, poor misunderstood AK. :innocent:

Amanda couldn't accurately describe what she did the night before, and Mignini is recalling a case from 2007, and you think that their requirement to have accurate recall is equal?

That is a terrible excuse. Sorry. The question wasn't what did he eat on a thursday three years ago, it's about some of the most pertinent evidence in an ongoing trial. He's still involved in the appeals. He didn't "forget" that Amanda's blood wasn't mixed in with Meredith's. Come on.

but.....but.......
Surely a seasoned professional magistrate knows how important the distinction between "mixed blood" and "mixed DNA" is?????? :waitasec:

Prosecutors can be working 200 cases at the same time. I'm not going to consider a prosecutor a liar because he can't remember the details of a murder from 4 years ago. It may be oh so important to some, but the case is over except for tying up loose ends.

Wasn't it Amanda's DNA and Meredith's blood on the floor in Filomina's room?

I'm new on this thread and I appreciate all the info all of you have provided as I have not heard many of the things mentioned here. I was on the fence before but the main thing (before now) that gave me pause was when Knox and BF were outside the apartment the day investigation was going on and they were making out and she was doing something we used to call handstands or such. Who does this at the scene of the murder? MOO.

It seems to be reaching a desperation point:

*excuses upon excuses are made for AK's behavior and the evidence against her.

Then:
1- the two pieces of evidence currently under review will not free AK and RS.
2- supporters lure the CPJ into getting involved, which does not 'pan out'. Their information for their complaint seems to be lacking and unsupported by fact.
3- A CNN 'piece' is hailed as showing the 'true' facts of the case and bashing/showing Mignini is wrong and other adjectives needed by supporters. This piece is SHOWN/PROVED to have been edited and cherry-picked until it is a pure hatchet job. Anybody that cares to look can see this for themselves by reading the transcript's translation. No amount of spin or deflection will/can change that!

Desperate times indeed for the 'support' campaign.

Well, the video of them kissing is available and I wouldn't exactly call it making out. It's a couple rather passionless pecks on the lips and some hugging with some distraught looks on their faces. She reportedly did a cartwheel at the police station waiting for her boyfriend's interrogation to be over.

She was smooching outside the cottage while her roommate was still in the cottage and police were investigating. The handstands were cartwheels and splits and they were done at the police station on the evening of Nov 5 when Amanda was in the lobby and Raffaele was being questioned. The officers told her to cut it out.

:floorlaugh:

Maybe... but I don't think he will have to spend alot of time in jail... like you-know-who.

Fred, what did you learn from Mignini's interview transcript other than that he apparently doesn't remember it too well because it was four years ago.

It's a shame that he might spend any time in jail since someone in his position should be above breaking the law in the first place.

For sure NOT what CNN/Drew/Preston were trying to project. Are you defending their 'work' on the piece?

Still a terrible excuse. You act like he's not still working on the current trial. A murder happened four years ago and he's still working on the case. We shouldn't know the facts better than the prosecutor. Shame on him.

Yeah, Amanda's DNA was found in Filomena's room. Other female DNA was found in the mixed samples as well. It tells us nothing. DNA is helpful for placing people where they don't belong, such as with Rudy.
