Without reading the whole thing, all I can say is something might have been wrong about the translation into English.

I would seriously doubt that there was a translation error. They had 3 separate individuals review what he said to make sure that the translation was accurate

No doubt someone will argue the cartoon was run to establish a phony alibi while AK and RS ran to the cottage to commit murder at 9:27. (AK being a criminal mastermind and all.) But if 9:26 is merely the start time of the cartoon, I am satisfied that AK and RS didn't leave then.

Is 9:48 the time the cartoon ended? I seem to remember that time being mentioned as well. It isn't likely that AK and RS were walking out the door even then.

I think the computer alibis them until 10. At least that's a more likely time than 9:10.

There was some mention of 9:46pm. You and I had discussed it before, but we didn't reach a satisfactory conclusion as to what the time referred to.

Think after this the gang will require new designer straight jackets with rubber straw hats, rubber straws to slurp from, rubber wine bottles as long as the wine is indeed real :giggle:

The defense also found screensaver activity. I posted that a few pages back and can be found in RS's appeal.

Remember that ILE did not include the opening of this cartoon file in its' report.

The one computer of RS's had 2 operating systems on it. ILE did not put in their report the opening of the cartoon Naruto at 9:26.

It appears ILE computer expert knew nothing about Mac OS and the defense was able to show additional activity after reviewing the hard drive

Thus ILE only listed files that were opened on the windowserver.log file and even there they messed up

As per RS's appeal

"Indeed, searching with Spotlight in version 10.4.10 was detected at least one file "Naruto ep 101.avi" which is not present in advice of the police post, but whose date of last opening is Thursday 1 November 2007 at 21:26 "

It appears they detected screen saver activity as well

"Once a system and built the same version as the one used by Raffaele Dunning, ie Mac OS X 10.4.10 (Build 8R2232), it was possible to obtain correct data display key information acquiring importance for the decision"

Your discussing does not matter one iota, what THEY decided does.

I guess websleuths ought to shut down every single thread then, since our discussions have no bearing on any cases.

Is that ruling now binding on the appellate court? Previously the opposite has been stated here.

If it was binding and the appeals court could not make up its own mind, then there is no point to even have an appeal. Can courts not disagree?

How can court officers deny the testing of a purported semen stain and yet still conclude the attack was orgiastic?

The same way they go from saying it was a wild sex game at the beginning of the trial to saying it was a jealous fight over money at the end. Once they knew that sex thing wouldn't fly, they swept the semen straight under the rug where they found the bra clasp.

Unless they decide to scapegoat Stephanoni (I'm not sure about the spelling of that name), I don't see another possibility.

Well, to be fair, they've all been made to look like fools before in the other trials and investigations that they got in trouble for misconducting.

It's nothing new. The only problem is they might be running out of chances to mess up without consequence.

I guess Migini was not in his very comfy bed and called in it appears that he was down the hallway

11’03’’ CNN: No one hit her?
11’06’’ Mignini: No, look, absolutely not. I can state this in the most positive way, and then, let’s say… I wasn’t there when she was being questioned by police, the rooms are quite far away… you don’t know but I was… it’s quite far, there’s a corridor, and I was with the director, Dr. Porfazio, and she was being questioned in a different place. I also remember that passing through, I also saw Sollecito who was alone in a different room; he was also being questioned, as I recall. I don’t exclude…well…it’s clear that I wasn’t there, but I don’t believe that anything whatsoever happened, and in my presence absolutely not.

:floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

What the hell?

Mignini wasn't there but saw exactly where RS was as Mignini was "passing through?" Yeah, passing through to sit down and join the interrogation.

Well, see, this is maddening. Because mixed blood would surely point toward involvement, whereas DNA could be saliva, from brushing teeth, it could be skin cells, from washing hands, or even touching something. And then they say Bruce Fisher has lied RE DNA, and I would like to know where the truth is. But forgetting would not be a reason for saying "blood"; I am sure Mignini as a seasoned professional has an excellent memory for pertinent details of his cases.

Who is "they" that you say tells you that Fisher lies? The first rule of thumb is discover whether Fisher is a liar or not for yourself. Don't rely on someone else to tell you that. I read fisher's book. I don't see him as a liar. Some evidence he presents is definitely scewed in AK and RS's favor. Fisher is extremely opinionated and might have gotten facts wrong. But if pro-innocent people can't call stefani a liar, surely others shouldn't call Fisher one.

Just discover EVERYTHING for yourself and never allow anyone to inform your decision. Take what they say and look it up. You must inform your own decision because people have motives in telling you their "version of facts."

I believe you. I just never thought I would read something like that in so many places - including pieces by Frank - and it would be a falsehood or error. Thanks very much for the clarification. You would assume they would keep the specimen for testing.

Hi, sorry i just started reading these threads on this case. Are you referring to Frank Sfarzo? I was following the case there from time to time since the beginning, only to find his page was yanked because mignini was suing him for slander. I'm still on the fence about this case but leaning towards them being innocent.

I don't know that Frank was accepting that as true, and I also don't know when he wrote it. I noticed that, early on, he wrote from a guilty perspective. Then as the real truth of the evidence unfolded, his viewpoint changed. I think I remember him writing about the store visit for bleach as if it were true. So For frank, I just say look at the dates and figure out when his opinion of the case changed and when certain "facts" were disproved. I'm glad he left his blog as if, but I don't know if he went back and corrected himself when "facts" were disproved and he changed his opinion. Understand what I'm saying?

Yes, perhaps Mignini was saying an Italian word which translates dubiously into English. Had not thought of that, as I kept thinking perhaps he could speak decent English (as many Europeans can, to their credit.)

He wasnt speaking english in the interview. I recall words on the screen I had to read and I remember a discussion earlier where I think Nova (I always think Nova said something, by the way) was telling Otto that Mig had 3 translators and Otto was disagreeing. I think they were debating that, but I'm pretty sure it was when the two of them and dfred were discussing the validity of the CNN interview.

Okay, someone tell me if this is a joke. Published today:

During a lengthy interview in his Perugia office, The Sun asked him to explain why there was no Knox DNA in the small bedroom where Meredith was killed. He shrugged and produced his latest bizarre theory - that Knox wasn't in the room at all, but orchestrated the killing from outside.

Mignini said: "Amanda might theoretically have instigated the murder while even staying in the other room." Until now Mignini has been adamant Knox was the instigator and the most violent of those involved in the horrific killing.

At the end of our interview, Mignini smirked and asked that details of what he said "remain here" - in his office.

Hi, you are most welcome to jump right in! :great:Yes, indeed, I meant Sfarzo. And yes, Perugia Shock was pulled for that reason. :(

OMG!! :gasp:

Well, unless this journalist wants to wind up sued and hounded like Frank Sfavaro, he must be telling the truth. And yes, I can imagine - if I have grasped Mignini's psychology and animus correctly - that he would indeed surmise that "Amanda might theoretically have instigated the murder while even staying in the other room."
