:cow::cow::cow:

I have read many of the threads and posts here off and on over the past year, but I do not really post here because I know I am in the "minority" ... please, "no tomatoes" LOL ...

I have based my "opinion" and my "conclusion" by reading BOTH sides of the "argument" as to whether "guilty" or "not guilty" ... reading BOTH U.S. and European news articles ... watching video clips from both sides of the Atlantic ...

My "opinion" and My "conclusion" is "guilty" for both AK and RS ... MOO ...

While I do understand the "biggest argument" regarding the "innocence" of AK and RS is the DNA evidence, the "contamination", etc. ...

The "other evidence" speaks volumes as to AK and RS "guilt" -- and at a minimum -- knowledge of the murder ... MOO ...

While I understand the Italian Justice System is different than ours ... I will have to "accept" whatever verdict is reached ... I may not "agree" with it ... but will have to "live with it" ... just like we have to live with the Casey Anthony "verdict" ...

And Prayers for the Kercher Family !

As always, my opinion only ...

It's probably not the time to ask about what that "other evidence" is, but please bear in mind that there has been an enormous amount of misinformation circulated about this case on both sides of the Atlantic. In particular the Italian police released a lot of "information" in the early stages which was a pack of lies. That information and discussion of it is of course still out there, and unless you trace the articles describing its refutation, it's very easy to draw the wrong conclusion.

I can't get together a comprehensive reasoning for my idea of innocence right now because I gotta be to work in 30 minutes, but even if they are not innocent, what I believe is this: one cannot convict them on this evidence.

I too have read both sides of the argument, here as well as in US and UK papers (and each prints verrrry different spin for probably obvious reasons). I still am totally on the fence. nothing ever pushed me one way or the other to either side - I lean towards guilt - but unlike in the travesty of justice which was the caylee anthony case, there isnt very much evidence...not enough I dont think.

I'm just watching TruTV and they were saying she'd be coming back to the states regardless if she's released or not. She'll serve her sentence (if she's sentenced) in the US.

I didn't realize that.

Really? I have not heard this....

For those of us with no cable TV, where can we get LIVE coverage of what's happening?

Thanks Goldfish. I had that one on, but nothing was happening and I was hoping to see commentary, etc. rather than a streaming picture of the city.

I think we are just waiting now. They did cover the Kercher family interview so I'm pretty sure (never positive) they will cover the verdict reading.

They are currently showing the Dr. Conrad's trial.

It makes perfect sense. Prisoner transfer agreements between countries for that purpose are quite common. I wonder if a US prison would be more severe, though.

The Prison Amanda is in now is a luxury compared to what she would be staying in the US.

She has a lot more room to roam around in the Italian Prison (her room) than she would if she were in a US Prison.

Fingerprints were found on the handle of the knife and they were discussed during the appeal. The prosecutor specifically said that the were in the wrong place if someone was holding the knife to cut bread, and encouraged the court panel of judges/layjudges to try it themselves to see how the knife was held to get the prints arranged as they were on the knife.

"This alleged murder weapon was found not at the crime scene but in the kitchen of Sollecito's flat, two weeks later. Knox's fingerprints were on the handle ..."

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/w...s-amanda-knox-about-to-walk-free-2359360.html

So perhaps they were in the right configuration for her to take the knife from a countertop and place it in the drawer. If the configuration is supposed to imply that she held it perfectly in the manner to kill someone, then she would have to not have touched it after the murder, and then when it was used on whatever food substance it was used on. Also, that when the majority of blood was washed off, she didn't wash the handle. Which makes zero sense. The fact that there is even a discussion about how her fingerprints are patterend on the handle is compleely insane to me. There is no evidentiary value in THE PATTERN of the fingerprints no matter what they are.

UNLESS the fingerprints were staged on the knife to make it look like it was used for a murder and then never touched afterwards, because the knife was a plant. The person doing the planting didn't think about the fact that the knife would need to be touched again, to wash it. And they certainly didn't think they'd need to explain that the knife was handled after the murder in order to prepare food.

TruTv is now the Conrad Murray trial.

So no verdict until 2:00? (That would be 1:00 central time)

@ Rolfe:

I for one do not think CBS would have reported that some jurors "openly wept" as Knox read her statement, were it not true.

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2011/...20114632.shtml

"48 Hours Mystery" correspondent Peter Van Sant reports that Knox appealed to the jury - members of which wept openly during her statement - to reverse the conviction and let her return home.
"I insist I'm innocent and that must be defended. I just want to go home, go back to my life," she told the court through tears.

Van Sant says Knox's words brought tears even to the eyes of some journalists in the room.

Hey guys, I don't know how true this is but check out this paragraph:

I know PVS is a pro innocent so I hope his perception isn't skewed, but do you really think a few on the panel cried?
Now again, this doesn't mean a lot because jurors, and especially judges, are not easy to predict.

I think that is a very good sign.
I felt both of their statements were very moving.

So the video has stopped for a minute and the numbers of the persons linked up appear to be climbing rapidly. I hope the link can hold up if everybody tries to sign on at once. :gasp:
