Shootout at Baja California car rally in Mexico near U.S. border leaves 10 dead, 10 wounded. Authorities say they are investigating an apparent gunfight at an off-road vehicle rally in Mexico's Baja California state that left 10 people dead and another 10 wounded.

Videos posted on social media showed heavy shooting at the rally in an area of Ensenada and at least three bodies lying on the ground

News is emerging that the car rally participants returned the gunfire. So, hopefully, this wasn't a public event that drew innocent enthusiasts, but some kind of internal event organized by a drug gang, that was attacked by a different gang. Will wait and see.

In this article it named the off road race as Cachanillazo. Doesn't seem as big as the Baja rallies, but also more organized than just an impromptu ride. This is pretty close to Ensenada which usually seems pretty immune to Cartel issues.
