Yes, that's the theory promoted by the private intelligence organization STRATFOR, a non-LE organization (which should not be) privy to the investigative reports.

It makes sense to me though.

The thing is, she is still planning on moving to Colorado now. She doesn't have to, the only reason for the move before seemed to be for his job, yet she is still moving there without him.

Had they already bought a home there or signed a lease on an apartment/condo?

Maybe she wants to leave where she is now and go where they would have lived their lives together.

IMO

From what I understand, she didn't even know which city in Colorado. They were going to go stay in a hotel.

Thanks. I don't blame her for wanting to move.

Colorado is beautiful.

They are from Colorado. Her family is there. They had only lived in McAllen 3-4 months, depending on which reporter is writing the article.

I admire her strength and the courage it must take to keep asking for the return of her husband's body. I hope someone steps up and does the right thing.

I didn't hear it all but Sheriff Gonzalez was on HLN and he said they believe it was a case of mistaken identity.

One cartel gang had just killed someone in another cartel on that Thursday and the cartel cruising the lake believed that the other gang members would be coming to retaliate.

IMO

"My opinion is there is no mistaken identity," said Zapata County, Texas, Sheriff Sigifredo Gonzalez Jr.

Hmmm....why would she do that?

Unless someone's waiting for her there.

I hope if anything ever happens this tragic to any of us, we are not picked apart like this.

IMO she has been throgh someting horrific. And every sentence she says, is really disected and questioned. I don't how I would act or what I would say if this happened to me. I don't know what words I would use or if I would use them in perfect context. I don't think any of us do.

I understand having questions and not believing her 100% but, questioning everything she says and does is kind of over the top IMO.

I just hope this is cleared up soon and we know all the answers. No matter what happened.

Thank you for this post, Kimberlyd125.

It is a tragedy any way you look at it. TH's every word being picked apart and being called an outright liar is why I have not joined in this thread very much except to say that I do believe her.

She has had the shock of her life. I just hope that someday, some way, David will be returned to Tiffany and his family so that he can have a proper burial. GB them all.

I will continue to believe in Tiffany and hope that she never reads the hurtful things that have been written about her. JMO.

'A local attorney advised that I take these misgivings to a blood-spatter expert, so an Internet search and a phone call led me to Iris Dalley, a retired crime scene investigator for the Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation. Today, Dalley is a crime scene consultant and serves as the president of the International Association of Blood Pattern Analysts.

She says that there is no way that a bullet would propel Hartley through the air and forward off his jet-ski. "The bullet won't make you airborne," she says. "A sudden stop of the jet-ski could. "Like if you are in a car wreck and you are not wearing a seat-belt, your body still has forward momentum whether your vehicle does or not," she says.'

I'm not a scientist, but that "flying over the jet ski" story always struck me as contrary to the laws of motion.

I'm thinking she will be moving home with mom and pop...at least for awhile. She has no job nor income that we have heard of. Remember, she is pretty much in "their" territory also. I wouldn't be comfy there if I were her.

I was sort of taken back by the father's comments of it didn't matter how, who or why his SIL was killed, just that his remains be returned. I'm sure DH's family does not totally agree with those sentiments. But it does seem that DH or TH was not in communication with her parents of the goings on around there..nor the parents being too knowledgeable about the border issues. Twas me, I'd be at full attention of any news regarding violence where my child was living....albeit ....right in the middle of it. JMO

I keep wondering why she just doesn't take a polly. ???????

IIRC she said she would consider it if asked to but nobody has asked her to.

IMO the fact she has not been asked to take a poly speaks volumes to me.

I'd certainly be interested in learning of the statistics of how many Americans there are thought to be involved with helping the cartels spy on each other? Especially married couples. Any locals know of any instances down that way where this was reported on? TIA

Do you really believe that if the jet ski would immediately stop that a human sitting on the jet ski wouldn't continue moving forward? Hit the brakes in your car without your seatbelt on and see if you go forward! A human body would continue in a forward motion and if you add a bullet hitting you squarely in the back of the head I bet the forward motion would be even more evident. There would be no where to go but over the handle bars. Have you ever stopped your bicycle in an emergency and flipped over the handle bars? I have and landed in a deep pond when I didn't know how to swim. So, I guess I qualify as to how you would move in such an incident. If he was killed instantly, his hands would leave the controls on the handle bars and he would not be able to stay on the seat but would travel forward.

ETA: I suggest that you watch the Kennedy assasination and see where his head goes after receiving a couple of bullets. He definitely doesn't remain stationary. He is propelled forward, imagine that?

She's on Anderson Cooper now.

I interpret this to mean that he thinks that the BS will go on for awhile but right now, his SIl's body needs to be brought home for burial.

Has she been asked to?

Polygraph tests are a joke in my opinion! They have little credibility among scientists, if any and are considered to be "junk science". There is NO way I would ever take a polygraph, even if I was 100% innocent!

1. If you are addressing me as "you," you are arguing with the wrong person. Argue with Ms. Dalley. I simply posted what she, an expert, which I certainly am not, said and which made sense to me. You are, of course, free to disagree.

2. I have always interpreted Tiffany's "flying over the handlebars" description as meaning the shot from the back of the head propelled him over the handlebars--not his jet ski stopping suddenly. She has never mentioned a sudden stop, which, I agree with you, would have sent him flying forward.

Oh now, and stop the presses! In looking for information regarding this topic, I found this very interesting statement:

"To mount the jet ski, swim to the back and pull yourself up, then scoot forward until you are in the driver position. If you have a passenger, make sure that he doesn't get on until after you and the jet ski are settled in the water again.

Never mount a jet ski from the side. You will pull it over on your head and look like an idiot ... but hey, maybe that's your thing."

But didn't Tiffany say at one point she was on the side of the Jet Ski trying to pull David up on it?
