On that note, I need to point out that I found it odd that JR initially set up a 🤬🤬🤬 page for ransom money. Why not initially set it up and say to help cover expenses, find a pi, followher steps and travel to Mexico, etc?

Odd especially since there was never ransom (and there still isn't). I guess ransom is more sensational than just asking for money towards his travel expenses and lunch meetings.

JR is in Mexico in meetings with his PI, attorney and prosecutor of the special task force in Oaxaca. He expects to have updates and issue a press release by the end of the week.

Perhaps that will mention the polygraphs? Is the end of the week tomorrow or Saturday? Here's hoping for something concrete.

I totally understand asking about possible motives for actions taken. I get the icky gut feelings we have gotten with of some of his personal choices. I believe in questions about how 🤬🤬🤬 monies are spent, and where this is all going. Questions, discussion about possibilities, the usual banter that goes on when we disagree with an action, and theories/what-if's are all relevant, necessary and important to solving things.

But to members here who are consistently bashing JR, you do not know his life or his way of thinking to pass such harsh judgement. What proof does anyone have that he ever did one hurtful thing to Jenny. All I've ever seen is a man who loves his wife. We may not always agree with someone's actions, but last time I checked this was a victim friendly site and JR is a victim, family of a victim, and trying very hard to find his missing wife. Depending on one's genetic tendencies, upbringing, experiences, movies seen, and type of person gone missing there's no telling what a person's first reaction to a missing loved one would be.

To be clear, I wasn't bashing him.

GigTu my friend. I understand what you are saying. Especially since their marriage seemed to be more of a mutual arrangement for both.

She gets to stay in the United States and hopefully become a citizen. And he gets the girl.

Now you are also right as we don't have any proof that JR did anything to her. And as far as we know; All her decisions were made by her and she put herself in this position for being so naive not to head straight home after her first near abduction in Mexico that she mentioned.

But its hard to totally know for sure that JR didnt see her in Mexico on April 15th and did something to her out there and came back to say my wife is missing.

Especially since this case relies on his statements alone. Jmo.

We don't have the privilege of knowing that the fbi or U.S law enforcements thoroughly investigated him and cleared any involvement on his behalf.

Example. No agency has checked his phones nor computers nor bank accounts nor alibis nor anything else. Plus also. No agency has never done a forensic search of her computers or phones or finances to see if this was planned on her part to leave him.

So this case is very very different. Especially since every media article only consists of information given by the hubby or the Mexican/Chinese consulate that never did a forensic digital search on Jenny's nor Jonathans phones, computers or bank transactions.

So imo. As of now. We can't rule out anything.

BTW. Drew Peterson is probably guilty of killing his last wife. And we all say that he did it even without proof.

So if you flag speculations of unknown possibles posts on this thread. Then you will have to flag every post on every case where the husband still has not been looked in to nor cleared. Jmo.

Btw. Jonathan hasn't been cleared of anything since he hasn't been investigated by the Mexican police in regards to checking his alibis and phone records and digital communication and other things.

So this case is not cut and dry as other cases.

So please my friend. Don't take offense to our thinking out loud for the moment.

Many Hugs.

It does seem to be the case that we only know what JR tells us or pics we've seen, and what MSM reports. So by that same logic, as far as we know JR and Jenny fell in love in China, were together many years before marrying, and were happily married up to the moment she disappeared.

JR seems to be socially awkward, a poor communicator, and as evidenced by his FB postings and reports about his personal activities - he is likely a poor decision maker as well. Does that mean his actions have a nefarious motive? Maybe he mishandles money, but that does not (necessarily) a killer make.

I get that it's usually accurate to start with the significant other as a suspect in a MP case. But, I'm pretty sure it was determined that JRs whereabouts were accounted for, albeit there were different MSM accounts of missing person's report dates. I remember because it made me distrust JR at that time. That was posted that some time back, and I think it was decided that the translation is what caused the confusion. We're deep into thread #2 so I wouldn't even know where to begin looking for that information now.

Isn't he the one who went to all the possible government agencies, alerting them and attempting to get support in finding her? How do we know there has been no communication between JR and Jenny's parents? How do we know they didn't initiate their own investigation on JR?

In the case of Drew Peterson, there were mountains of circumstantial evidence against him and he had a history of criminal behavior both in and outside of his LE career. Multiple women associated with him disappeared and someone finally connected the dots when he got sloppy. No such history or evidence exists against JR. Not that I've seen anyway.

I get why there are question marks. But I honestly don't get why he is constantly being roasted in here.

How would a visiting foreigner make a body disappear, for this long, in densely packed Cancun? It would have turned up long ago. Whereas it would be very easy for a local to know of hidden rural places to bury a body. And in southern Mexico, if someone did find it, they probably wouldn't call police since they distrust them so much.

I await the press release & updates with bated breath.

In the meantime, anything new?

I was just checking in for the same. Hopefully there will be news of advancement or discovery soon!

Right on schedule. Thank you JR! A press release is in the works that will highlight suspicious activities by those who may be protecting the interests of the suspects.

JR met with the Attorney General of Oaxaca, the Chief Prosecutor of the special tasks force, and has been assured that there will be significant action against the suspected individuals in the case within two weeks. He says he has been promised. It seems that bringing in a specialist from the Central Government has made this happen.

Starting the clock again. Within two weeks would be by Sept. 17. I truly hope for JR's sake that this is not another empty promise.

JR has worked tirelessly to find his wife Jenny, against huge obstacles. I will continue to pray for JR's strength and ongoing tenacity. He is a brave man.

So great to see JR's post (thank you, Lilibet), but I am unclear as to what JR is saying. Are we to assume he referring to the two drivers when he says "suspected inviduals"? What is a "specialist from the Central Government"? Is that akin to calling in the FBI to a case in the US? What does he means where he says "suspicious activities by those who may be protecting their interests" mean?

I hope the press release will answer these questions and not create more mystery. I assume he means the two drivers, since a he's called them suspects since the beginning and focused totally on them. For JR never to deviate from suspecting the truck drivers tells me that he knows a LOT more than we've been told. Understandably. I assume the specialist is higher than state LE, like our FBI. I wonder if JR's well-connected attorney called in favors to make this happen. It's possible that the difficulties he's had getting cooperation means that bribes were paid to protect the drivers. I hope that the press release comes out today. I imagine his attorney is helping with the wording.

I'm happy for JR that his tenacity may pay off with LE action if not the return of Jenny. I have a feeling the press release will explain a lot of his cryptic, confusing comments that have bothered us.

because he probably thought that jenny was kidnapped and was being held until the ransom was paid, is not a weird train of thought when you consider that, kidnapping, is a big thing in latinamerica
have you guys heard of "kidnap express"? no ransom involved, the victim is driven from ATM to ATM to get cash, they even have a method to bypass the 24 hr limit withdrawal
kidnapping is almost an industry
a foreigner, regardless of their real net value, is seen as wealthy otherwise, how can they afford a holiday?

that doesn't preclude him from expecting a ransom would be demanded
when my son went to mexico i told him to have at least twenty bucks hidden so, if **** hit the fan, he could offer them and hopefully sort things out that way...so, would you qualify my behaviour as odd?

I know grape/winery drivers that do not own their trucks will get to the lot and pick a vacant truck to drive for that day. They also have to log the truck number. Now most seniority drivers get the best pick when they arrive.

So my suggestion is that the detectives check for hairs or dna in both truck/cabs that were registered to both drivers that day.

Now I think 1 driver had his family with him. So he was probably on a long haul and didn't have room for Jenny.

So I would suspect the other driver first. Jmo.
