^^^ And they're worried about Lizard People? (Lives with his Mommy.)

Study finds nearly one-in-five Americans believe QAnon conspiracy theories (nbcnews.com)
ETA-- "Washington, we have a problem — politically, informationally and societally — when 15 percent of Americans agree with the QAnon statement that the U.S. government, media and financial worlds “are controlled by a group of Satan-worshipping pedophiles who run a global child sex trafficking operation.”

A large percentage of the people attacking the Capitol probably are Q believers. MOO and JMO, that does not look like sanity, mental health, or civilized behavior. Go ahead, find out what they believe in, and see if it makes sense. It's not a legitimate reason to get violent and start killing. MOO again, they seem to believe they have to resort to violence. I honestly wonder if it's just an excuse to throw a tantrum, misbehave, and be a Hater. What did this surfer father believe his little son and 10 mo. old daughter were going to do anytime soon to destroy the world? His daughter probably wasn't even walking yet. Woe to him when he wakes up from the madness he's been feeding himself. Prayers for his wife and loved ones that have been gutted by what he did.

BBM. We are seeing that as the insurrectionists are appearing before judges.

That is terrible news.
A Pizza Parlor with no basement even, and yet the Q people still believed it.
Intelligent but they must be highly suggestible people.
1 in 5 Americans  Seven Million People!!!
All seven million?
All seven million, did not take their two children to Mexico and violently kill them with a spear fishing gun.

Qanon has ruined so many lives. Why isn't the Government legal eagles going after Q?

Where do they start? Who do they go after first? Imo, Ron Watkins, but What do I know. Not like arresting people will change anything. It will just amp up the conspiracy theories. If these people don’t realize by now that all of these “Q drops” are BS, then it’s going to be very hard to deprogram them. Wasn’t Biden supposed to resign earlier this week? Lol. the goalposts just keep moving and these people believe anything they are told by randos on Parler.

fwiw, my boss is a huge conspiracy theorist and Believes absurd Qanon crap like pizzagate. Before she died a few months ago, my sister was starting to become a qanon karen type. I unfortunately have quite a bit of very up close and personal experience with how this cult changes people who were once normal people.

That being said, I think Coleman was always a little off, based on his Instagram posts. A cult like Qanon would just make things worse for someone who is already a *passionate* person. I am trying to be polite, so I’ll leave it at that.

I don’t get why people find it so hard to believe that a cult like qanon could be a factor in this. Maybe they share beliefs with qanon, idk. But imagine people brushing off Jim Jones’s cult and saying that every single adult who died at Jonestown was mentally ill, instead of admitting most were brainwashed from their time in the cult?

I have no doubt this dude had mental issues for years. But to dismiss that qanon could have played any part in his recent thoughts is wild to me.

I'm sure he wanted them to be found, but not as fast and link HIM.
I'm not so sure about that, he could have covered his tracks, i.e., turning off his cell phone, not bringing the kids into the hotel lobby to be caught on video, chose another place other than Mexico, where he could be tracked via passport at the border. He was also the last known person to be with them.

In addition, he confessed quickly and gave horrible details of their death at his hands. Contrast those actions with some of the other cases we follow where parents kill their kids. Very different in my opinion. He never tried to deny who killed those two beautiful children.

Ever since Adam and Eve people believe that women have been known to have relationships with snakes. Now they've advanced the myth to, "it's in her DNA".
MENstruation….MENopause & MENtal illness!!!

A lot of this is making me wonder if Lori Vallow had any belief in Q? I know the cases aren't the same but there's some strange parallels.

Very true. Where do they start? What a mess. I still think they should try.

I doubt it. Different cult. Vallow and daybell were religious zealots. Or so they seemed.

well they have their chance to lock up a ton of insurrectionists and make an example out of them. People such as the “qanon shaman”. But I have little faith. And again, the qanon weirdos will just find some way to twist it into another conspiracy theory. Remember they all were originally claiming it was all antifa that stormed the capital? Yet hundreds of trumpers got arrested and no “antifa” got arrested. They aren’t a logical bunch.

Neighbors of the California dad say they are 'sickened' by the news of the seemingly perfect family | Daily Mail Online

[...]

[RG], 82, lived near surf school owner Matthew Taylor Coleman, his wife [AC] and their two children Kaleo, three, and daughter Roxy, 10 months, in the beachtown of Santa Barbara, California.

[...]

'[Matthew] was never really the friendly type. When Matthew walked by my house with his kids, he seemed he was in another land, he never acknowledged me to say hi, he just looked straight ahead.'

The last time [RG] spoke with Matthew was just a few weeks ago. 'I brought a bag of avocados over to their house, Matthew answered the door and for the first time he was actually nice as I handed him the bag. He said thank you,' he said.

[...]

The family lived in a modest 3-bedroom, 2 bath, 1300 square foot home with a two-car garage built in 1956.

Located just blocks from Arroyo Burro Beach in Santa Barbara, the home is worth $1.4 million. They didn't own the home, according to neighbors, but rented it for $3,500/month.

One neighbor said the young couple have a middle aged man and his mother living in their garage. It was a condition of their rent from the owners, they said.

Another neighbor told DailyMail.com, '[AC] was the social one of the two, but I was wary of Matthew. He seemed a little too happy and disingenuous, fake nice almost.'

[...]

'[AC] nor Matthew ever spoke about their political beliefs or affiliations. We thought they were the all-American family, good looking couple, beautiful kids, they appeared to be loving. None of us neighbors had any thought something like this would happen. But then again you never know what goes on behind closed doors.'

...AND he did a horrible job hiding the bodies. They were found 1 hour after he returned from the hotel. Almost like he WANTED them to be found.
He did a horrible job with the killing of his children, too. Choosing a cruel, bloody, painful way for them to go. He made it even worse when his son didn't die. How could he stand that real vision? Erase that from my mind please. He spent time in the hotel room with the kids. I wish he could stop himself entirely, and not harm the children. But there were pillows there. That would've been a much more merciful way.

Yes, he left blood all over and some guy noticed right away. Ditched the weapons and evidence. He could've gone the other way deeper into Mexico, he spoke the language so well. I can't imagine what he was thinking. I don't understand how he went against everything sacred to start listening to conspiracy theories to kill.

I think this might've taken his wife completely unaware. Sure maybe he seemed different lately, but she did not see anything like this coming. I feel such sorrow for her. It does seem like the most horrible way to hurt his wife, but not kill her. Was he going to come back and tell his wife someone took the kids then watch her suffer?

Curious Me: I'm thinking the same. What was the plan? If he was going to say someone kidnapped the children, then he should have gone to authorities in Mexico or called the police in the US immediately. The fact that he had been on the road for hours and already coming back into the country without reporting anything is a stupid plan.

we really don’t know much about the wife or their recent relationship. She could have had no idea, or she could have been *interested* in theories as well. I’m sorry but I feel like it’s really hard to not pick up on something THIS wrong with your spouse when you’re living with them day in and day out. She obviously felt something was wrong enough to report them missing. I feel terrible for her no matter what.

I’m interested to hear about his browser history.

She obviously felt something was wrong enough to report them missing. .

That's what I was thinking. If she totally trusted him and knew they would be safe, she would not have called the cops. Leaving like that must have been out of character. But then I think-- she also may have thought since he wasn't answering his phone that perhaps they were in a horrible car accident. So that was the main worry about safety. Also, the daughter was only 10 months old--- was she still breastfeeding? Did he take formula and necessary supplies for a camping trip with two young toddlers? We already know the van didn't have enough car seats.

Thank You so much, @rainynights, for posting this. I appreciated how you isolated the pertinent info and made it easier to read.
The family lived in a modest 3-bedroom, 2 bath, 1300 square foot home with a two-car garage built in 1956....

"Another neighbor told DailyMail.com, 'Abby was the social one of the two, but I was wary of Matthew. He seemed a little too happy and disingenuous, fake nice almost.'"

I can see why the neighbor would say that. Surfer Dad must've been a phony sincere person. All those heavenly words reduced down to ugly, brutal endings for his children.

From the start, I've been wondering how the couple afforded to drive a Mercedes Sprinter. Now, add $3,500 rent. Did they make that much from the surf school? Wondering if they were experiencing financial troubles.

Another thing, he taught young children to surf. What was he thinking of those children? Monsters too? Wonder if he ever considered drowning the children... sorry, but anything might've been more humane than what he did.

His wife married a Christian man, and they belonged to a church. Some where along the way, he started changing. Perhaps he was sharing some of the conspiracy theories with his wife, but maybe he slanted it in a way that she didn't realize it was straight up Q craziness. I saw something, can't find it now but will keep looking, it was about a program within their surf school that was devoted to stop human traffiking. I could see his wife seeing his theories from that angle and wanting to support that cause. All MOO.

Matthew Taylor Coleman: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com
"Today, as experienced educators and mentors, Matt and Abby enjoy finding ways to better lives through surfing, experiential education and community based projects."

When she called into LE to report them missing, it wasn't described as her being highly upset or worried about the danger of his mind. You think maybe she could've known he was changing, but I think he hid the fact that he thought she had Serpent DNA.

MOO, she had her hands full with the children and this exuberant husband that was always spouting, or raving, about some big thing he thought or some vision he saw as fact. I hope she doesn't blame herself in any way for not seeing that this tragedy would happen.

I must've missed this one statement he made. Did he really post it like it reads?
QAnon-obsessed California dad, 40, fatally shot two children with a spearfishing gun | Daily Mail Online

"In another post that bears some similarity to the anti-establishment ethos of QAnon, Coleman says he is 'convinced at some point in our lives we will accumulate enough valid evidence for why we should stop trusting our government officials, bosses, coworkers, church, family and friends'.

He says doing so is a 'doorway to experiencing the most liberating reality on earth'."

According to the criminal complaint (Case No. 2:21-mj-03722 filed 8/11/21 in Central District CA), his wife (AC) first contacted LE on 8/7 but not to report MC and the kids missing, but to ask LE to try and reach him by phone because he wasn't answering calls/texts from his wife and/or family.

AC said they were supposed to go camping together but he MC left alone with the children-- not telling her where he was going. At this time, AC seemed more worried that MC left without the car seat. When dispatch offered to send an officer to her home, she declined further assistance -- stating she was not in danger, did not believe the children were in danger, and that MC would not hurt the kids.

It wasn't until the following day on 8/8, not having reached or heard from MC, that she contacted LE again-- this time to report them missing. When an officer came to their home to take the report, AC provided there was no argument and she had no problems with her husband. Officer asked if AC could use "Find my iPhone App" to locate MC and she used agreed and used her laptop. At this time the iPhone app provided MC's last location was reported at Pabellon, Rosarito, Rosarito Baja California, Mexico (open-air shopping center) at 2:24 pm.

On August 9, LE found him again (using iPhone app) approaching the San Ysidro Port of Entry where he was referred to Secondary Inspection, where the FBI was waiting for MC, and also took possession of his Mercedes Sprinter van (about 1 pm).

Confirming the children were not with MC, authorities contacted Mexican liaison partners and learned 2 children matching the description of the Coleman children had been located deceased around 8 AM on 8/9 in a ditch.

SBM for focus

I saw something about that on the company page, under the "Surf Therapy" tab. According to their website, they worked with two non-profits to use surfing to "heal and empower" human trafficking survivors.
