I was so hoping that I would find "located" on Robert's thread today. That’s an excellent idea. Whatever they do, they had better hurry. Poor man.

There's also this article in the Milwaukee Sentinel about people being drugged at resorts - scary.I recently saw a FB post of a horror story that happened to a couple in Cancun at Oleo Cancun Playa All Inclusive Resort. If you look up the resort on FB I think you can find the story.
Hope Robert is okay. Mexico is a scary place to visit right now.
They have his cards, they could have used them.
How do we know they are not with him? How do we know he isn’t getting drugs from them? Then or now? Theives know where they can use cards and not get caught right away. They have to start somewhere. I thought looking at banking transactions would be a start.yes but how does that help find him?
he's not with them ... he's wandering around by himself dazed

Agree, and IMO, most importantly, he appeared at that time and in later sightings, to have genuinely lost important parts of his memory/ability to function. I don't think he was high.because the reporter picked him up after the robbery and called the police and ambulance for him ... he had no belongings, not even shoes

I wanted to note, family/friends report his odd behaviour started as soon as he left them for LA airport:
-he stopped all contact with friends, including one he'd phoned and texted with multiple times a day.
- Hasn't posted on FB altho he used to post at least every couple of days
-Missed his flight to Cancun on the 18th, took a nonsensical route and arrived on the 20th.
-Sometime 'soon' after arriving made a panicked, bizarre phonecall to his ex-wife saying he'd been robbed...(but never contacted the Embassy)...
-Missed his appointment with the real estate agent he'd come to Cancun to meet
- Was missing until 9 days after he arrived, when picked up by a Mexican reporter from the street, with no possessions, very confused, not asking to go anywhere or give the name of anyone to contact, and, in the video, with small cuts and 'lesions' on his skin, but no apparent bruises or complaints about violence.
-Wandered off from the hospital instead of getting assistance from the police, or contacting the embassy.
- Has been seen since, wandering the urban, Mexican city of Cancun (population 1 million), exactly like a homeless, mentally-ill person in any big US city.

Nobody knew where he was after his arrival at the airport. Can you explain where you found this data:

Where exactly was he then? At the hotel/resort where he was staying??
On June 13, he posts "My home in Ajijic", which is near Guadalajara, a three-hour flight from Cancun. On his private FB page, he shows pictures of a house in Mexico with large wall murals. His daughter stated that he was to meet with a realtor but failed to make the appointment.
I'm confused. Was he looking to purchase another property?
Thank you. I appreciate your response. On June 13, he posts "My home in Ajijic", which is near Guadalajara, a three-hour flight from Cancun.
"He was going to see a property in Cancun," Sosa said. "He wanted to see it because he liked it. That’s what he does. He buys properties." Friends say missing Jacksonville man last seen in Cancun
Not unusual to have a house on the beach, and a house on a lake, up where it's cooler. And then his whatever kind of house/apartment in the US, where he has family/friends.

That makes sense. Thanks. If you scroll down further on his FB page, he talks about buying/renovating a different property (not the one with the large wall murals). I get the feeling he was purchasing/renovating/selling properties in addition to the wall mural home he owns there.
I looked online, and there is such a thing as mental illness (MI) having a sudden onset later in life. One example is "late-onset or latent schizophrenia." So IMO MI appears possible, along with other possibilities already discussed. All of the possibilities make him very vulnerable, sadly.
