It isn't one sided though. I actually had a poster quote my post in this thread the other day to say that posters should "butt out"
We are all here to offer an opinion and our ideas on this case and we should all be respected. I agree with you there.IMO
I never intended for my post to be one sided. I definitely think it goes for everybody.

When the forum has been subjected to an onslaught of posts trying to portray a reporter as a liar because she refused to support baseless allegations against the parents of the murder victim, and when those allegations have been promoted by others, even after the parents have been cleared - I will not keep silent nor will I apologize for vehemently defending the parents and the reporter.

I have zero problems with you defending them. They should be defended if that is your point of view. But it can and should be done respectfully and maturely and it wasn’t. I also defended a poster and could have been harsh and rude but wasn’t. Members can both defend and be respectful. It isn’t inclusive.

For my part: I'll decide what a "mature" post is and isn't.

In her teen years, my sister was recruited into a cult and remained there for the better part of her adult life. If I choose to warn others to not "drink the Kool-Aid" I will do so.

If I believe that others are succumbing to manipulations, I'll try to steer them away from the toxic punch bowl, as I've learned to identify its stench.

Again you can be both respectful and defend. I’ll refrain from posting further and we can agree to disagree what respectful is.

(O/T - Freestyle/brainstorm post:

Honestly this case I think is a bit too much for me, meaning, how interesting and educational from a WS’ers perspective to have the opportunity to communicate with both a named suspect and a reporter closely handling a murder case. I am interested in an academic approach, but I’m afraid the highly emotional and volatile nature of this case makes me feel, well I don’t know the word but it makes me uncomfortable. Nothing personal towards my fellow posters, you know I love you guys dearly, just saying for me personally. You guys know me well enough to know I will step away for my own sanity if I feel the need, as this is one of the most important skills imo a WSer should have.

This will likely be my last post in this thread. I hope that Ally and her loved ones receive justice and that the truth prevails.

Love and respect to all.

And good luck. You’re gonna need it haha. )

So it is ok to call some people liars but not others? Seems like double standards to me.

Anyway pages back some posters asked for evidence that A was still in a relationship with CM2121 and below is what I recall.

1. The love you texts.
2. The fact they went to a July 4th family function together.
3. The fact she still stayed with him a couple of times a week.
4. The last comment from her father the day she died. "Are you coming home? ".

There are more too but these should be enough IMO. I also do not believe A was in an abusive relationship as some have indicated without any evidence.

You keep saying that, but the only source of this is Wes. And re the lying, Wes has been called out for lying several times by, not internet posters, but LE.

Yes, and our VI here on this Websleuths thread, Wes Sutherland, is a victim of the senseless murder of his beloved friend Ally.

Sorry, how do you know that?

  • #790
There is evidence they were still a couple so that contradicts that she left him, therefore no motive. Why hasn't he been arrested if he has lied in the investigation and there is evidence of that and motive?

That's not exactly hard evidence.

  • #791
So there is no suspect. CM2121 should no longer be discussed as a suspect therefore..

"As each day passes there are no answers and no suspect, which only adds to the pain this family must bear and live out day after day "It really hasn't quelled the anger, the pain, the despair, that we feel every day," Nikki said. "Because we have no closure."Not knowing who the suspect is in this murder case is painful but the family says what's also heartbreaking is the why."That's the problem," Nikki said. "We have no closure because we can't fathom why anyone would do this "

I will alert my post to see how mods want to proceed.

Suspect and POI are two different things aren't they?

  • #792
I'll wait for Tricia/mods to comment and also to hear from both our VI's.

That was MSM saying no suspect after all.

And MSM is so reliable?

  • #793
Sorry, how do you know that?
Because he says he loved her with all his heart, but was on a dating site when they were a couple. I don't really consider that a sincere person. Do you?

I keep saying what? Weren't you asking for evidence of the relationship? If not then don't worry about it.

You're missing the point.

Nobody jumped on Wes 2 seconds after he became verified.

But he tried to bogard Vera off bat 20 minutes after her 1st post.

She's not a suspect that deserved to be attacked by him 2 seconds after her 1st post.

Do you agree or disagree?

Apparently so - especially when it is Rave1953. ;-)

Ha! No Jennifer, I do not.

I don't recall the posts so I can't comment. Do you have post numbers?

Really? You do not recall the aggressive and threatening posts he made to and about Vera? I find that a tad difficult to believe.
