The Jones family has been canvassing neighborhoods and passing out fliers. They are hoping others will buy T-shirts and buttons that show the child’s face. They can be purchased for $12 at Lovejoy International at 20227 W. 7 Mile in Detroit

Bless Bianca's mother's heart. : ( Her family is putting forth such a sincere effort.

How many more ways do we need to see the dad's name spelled? This is the first for me, to see it spelled that way. Does he even have any family in this effort?

DH and I were out this evening and didn't see the evening news. On our way home, news on WWJ radio focused on a plane crash in northern lower Michigan that claimed the lives of two men. Here's the most recent update on Bianca Jones from WDIV, Channel 4:

Reading the comments below this article gave some information about possible whereabouts of the father prior to the "carjacking".
Interesting. I don't know yet if it is confirmed.

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2011/12/0...er-allegedly-taken-during-detroit-carjacking/

The toddler's father, 32-year-old Deandre Lane, told police a man with a gun seized his silver Mercury Grand Marquis Friday morning and drove off with the child buckled into her car seat.

The car was recovered just ten minutes later, less than a mile from the site of the alleged carjacking, but the little girl was gone.

Another child gone..................most likely by her dad:furious:.

I don't know how long Lane can withstand interrogation by LE without gving up some valuable clues. I hope they have been relentless with him. It doesn't seem right that somebody can be with a person who then disappears, and nobody is held accountable because a body is never found, and unnamed POIs refuse to cooperate. It is happening over and over again. It seems that these crimes are developing a pattern based on what a killer learns from the previous unprosecuted cases.

Searchers are checking in at Metropolitan United Methodist Church, 8000 Woodward Ave.

Which is where I'd like to be, but instead, I will be at the doctor today. If she hasn't been found by next weekend, that's the earliest I'll be able to go down there. My brother is taking my kids for the weekend, so I'd have the opportunity.

DPD along with State Police and FBI set their sites on a home near E. 7 Mile and Conant Sunday night looking for answers in the search for 2-year-old Bianca Jones.
Authorities would not say if they collected any evidence, or who lived in the house, but a neighbor tells Action News the father of missing Bianca, D’Andre Lane, once stayed at the location.

Looks like no one has posted this Fox 2 video from last night's 10:00 news. I was too tired to log in and post (too much red wine during dinner!) but was sickened to hear the report about a witness having seen Bianca's dad spanking her so severely the previous day that she told him to stop! The comment comes at @ 4:24 in the video.

Post #419 on this thread: Count me in - as long as someone else drives. I don't do freeways any more; traffic moves too fast, and I get skeered  Haven't seen moderator nursebeme here this weekend, but she lives nearby, too.

He didn't want to send her home with bruises, so he killed her. That's what my gut is saying. Now, we need to find her body and get Dandre off the street, JMO.

My gut is saying he beat her so severely that she died.

If he would treat her that way in front of a "witness", what was he doing in private? Bless her little heart. Time for a lie detector test for his girlfriend.

Sadly, I feel that Bianca was deceased before the dad left the house on Mitchell that morning. He disposed of the body along his route to the alleged car-jacking. Plenty of alleys with trash cans, dumpsters along the way. When I saw the footage of the search near the Detroit River, I had an eery feeling about the pond at Palmer Park - quick trip across 7 Mile Road from the Mitchell home, toss the body in, and continue south on Woodward until he could hop on I-75. jmo

I have no working computer speakers here. Did I miss something with the pink jacket laying on the lawn in the video at the above link? Is it believed this is Bianca's jacket?

Also, it doesn't surprise me to read a witness came forward stating DL was spanking his daughter so badly she told him to stop. This confirms my initial thoughts, that dad ended up beating her so severly she died or he is hiding her without getting her needed medical attention. :(

Without sound, in the video, dad looks like he is about to hyper ventilate. He has that, Oh (insert word of choice) what have I done - look on his face.

Praying today is the day Bianca comes home.

I want to see DL fry. He talks a lot of (insert word of choice) on his FB page, but it is clear he talks the talk but does not walk the walk. :furious:

I agree. He probably heard of little Mariha Smith's case and would possibly not leave Bianca in an abandoned home if he hoped she wouldn't be found.

There is no way he beat and killed her in that 2.5 hours between the time he left and the time he alleges the car was stolen. His other childs mother has to know what happened.

I also hope they used cadaver dogs on the car.
I'm hoping they are able to track him via survellience as well.

Was too tired to ask last night, but how did he call his girlfriend before calling LE? Did he use a cell phone or call his gf from Bianca's mothers home?

This might be a little premature, but does MI have the death penalty?

ETA: Nevermind, I just looked, no DP in MI.

The jacket was shown to Bianca's mother who said that it is not hers.
