Yes, they take it VERY seriously. DD was scared, so we didn't talk about it with anyone in the community or with the neighbors for fear it might leak out. But she came away with 500.00 in 5 one hundred dollar bills. So for anyone here who is afraid to tip off Crimestoppers, DON'T BE AFRAID! They do their very best to keep everything on the down-low.

IMO, they wanted to appeal to the kidnapper...perhaps they strongly advised that those ticked off ready to kill type not speak at the presser??




ETA: if it were me i'd probably go off and elude to something like hunt you down like a dog and make you wish for death...that kinda thing. But, that's just me.

I don't think there is much hope in appealing to the kidnapper to do the right thing. I say put the son of a ***** on notice.

My brother called a while ago to ask if he could bring the dog here. He doesn't have a/c and mutt doesn't like the heat. He's already a happy camper with a vanilla rawhide chew.

ITA: Very brief report. Police still hoping to talk to the two women who were in the store on Monday night. Showed clip from presser of Brenna's mom's plea for her safe return.

I think its a good thing he was not there either. If you've seen the FB page and his photos I'm sure its clear why. IMO he isn't going to wait for LE if he gets a hold of whomever is responsible for taking his sister....

I hate to think the worker was killed just for being at the scene of some kind of issue between Brenna and someone she knows. This is not sounding random to me.

But at least she may be alive, since she was taken and not killed at the scene.

Agreed. It tells me that Brenna was specifically targeted by a very disturbed individual. This was no robbery.

The distance across the state keeps me from connecting this with Jessica Herringa's case. However, the physical similarity between the two victims is interesting.

I do not think this will have a happy ending. Something happened to her and Joey saw and could maybe identify them so they took his life. Jmo

Paraphrasing what Ryan Machus said: Someone posted that G-d is watching over Brenna. Ryan responded by saying that G-d had nothing to do with this and that he and his dad would take care of things. I thought that this sounded threatening and not an appropriate way to reply to someone who was only suggesting that G-d would be with Brenna whatever her current predicament. :moo:

Maybe she was taken out the back j Orlando slams the door and tries to run out but hoodie dude comes around front and &JO goes to hide in the bathroom. I think he was chased around I. The store first then he hid in bathroom.

I just hope he doesn't take care of somebody he *thinks* is responsible but who isn't involved...

p.s. I do not mean this as a slam against the brother. In his shoes I'd probably feel the same way. It's a volatile situation.
