Chatfield was questioned about what happened by the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe Police, FBI and Michigan State Police.
Chatfield told us her husband and son were sitting outside the night Carnel went missing, but they didn’t see or hear a thing.

I think the real victim in this (besides that sweet baby boy) is Jaimee's mother. Jaimee took him away from her because they were in an argument. He was happy and loved and safe in grandmas care. Thank god he only lived a month like that... Do they say why they shaved his head? I know his grandma was trying to have it grown out into a pony tail. I cannot believe that Jaimee is most likely carrying another child. What will happen to this one?

This portion is so oddly worded, imo:

I left for work, he was in my bedroom, and everything was fine! And then I left. And then that`s why -- you know, I called him,


The wording does not make sense.She said" everything was fine when I left, SO then that's why I called him...."

See what I mean? If everything was fine then why say that was the reason for calling to check on him. I think she left a piece out of the puzzle.

I think she meant to say, things were NOT fine when I left, so that is why I called him.

But that makes the narrow timeline even shorter if he was outside on the trampoline for awhile. Mom leaves at 3:45, and smell of burning flesh is between 5 and 6. But he had to be 'made smaller' to be placed in the stove, so this whole thing had to have happened fast. :furious:

I just spent a couple of hours rereading the first pages of links and interviews. What a confusing series of differing facts/

In one of the first statements by the tribal spokesman, it was said that there was s small group of people in the home, when mom first realized that ' her son was not where he was supposed to be' and was now missing. ???

I guess that was just a miscommunication, but there were so many of them.

First reports were that he was swimming in the backyard pool and AB was cleaning in the home then found he was missing at 9:30, as mom arrived home.

And then there were reports from the neighbors that people were coming and going. I could see that if the incident happened at around 4 through 6 and he was trying to clean up the mess, and all of that, and maybe friends would just drop by as they probably always did at night anyway. I am curious what they have to say now, if anything.

JMO, but when individuals recounting the events leading up to a crime like this say everything was "fine", that is about as reliable as when you read "it was just a normal night". I don't know if she is responsible for anything beyond failing to protect her child from her abusive boyfriend, but it wasn't long before she began to reveal the abuse, bit by bit, minimizing at first and adding the more brutal details with each statement. I expect the boyfriend is already pointing the finger in her direction. This case just brings up all my anger about Adam Baker walking around free. All MOO

Knox, yes she passed 2 polygraphs but that doesn't necessarily mean she is innocent. The polygraph is looking for differentials in the heart rate of blood pressure I believe. I read somewhere that if you remain calm and detached you can pass -- don't know for sure. Some have failed but were innocent. I believe it was her brother who said she was stoned the day after Carnel went missing. There was no doubt to me she was stoned during the NG interview.

I thought pregnant women are advised not to take polygraphs? If she is pregnant, would that make a difference to the results?

Just finished catching up with the thread. I am sick, sick, sick. AB is an animal and needs to be caged forever. To so destroy a precious little boy. It wasn't "good enough" for him to kill this child, he had to totally descecrate his little body.

Prayers for Carnel and all the other little angels who have been lost to murdering fathers, mothers, and bf's.

Prosecutors read a list of seven offenses that Bennett committed and was sentenced for since the age of 17 and noted that in every occasion he violated the court's orders during probation.
