My computer will soon loose power due to a planned power outage. I hope the searches find Chelsea this weekend!

What is a "planned power outage"?

It is when the power company works on the grid to your area. The power is shut off for an indefinite period of time usually 1-3 days.

Trigger, did you mean that someone should have put up posters for the tree lighting? Monroe has agreed to use lots of purple in their downtown decorating, and posters should be all over.

It was good seeing many purple ribbons on our town today, too.

With the big holiday season starting, it must be very hard on Chelsea's family. How do they keep their spirits up? Their faith seems very strong, and they surely will have a lot of support to sustain them. The best gift of all will be bringing Chelsea home. I hope it is soon.

OK I wasn't sure Spellbound. Yes the Family and the community are working hard to get the word out! Oh I did see the purple ribbons. Its beautiful.

Goodness. I have never heard of this being done. I would go stir crazy, I am afraid. Or the house would get totally rearranged before hubs gets home. Will miss you, Goldenbear. Hurry back. Hope it is warm where you are No power would not be good here with this weather.

Fundraising to help find Chelsea Bruck: “Money usually makes people talk” (includes an update from Chelsea's sister and mom)
13abc.com Christine Long Updated: Nov 21, 2014 9:49 PM EST (sorry if this was posted it before, I just saw it.)
http://www.13abc.com/story/27455080...chelsea-bruck-money-usually-makes-people-talk

"If we get the reward money high enough, we feel like that might make someone talk, because we feel like someone knows something,” says Sovey. "I would give anything if she would be found. That would be the best Christmas present we could have."

There is a warm spell coming for the next few days before it gets frigid again, making it more tolerable weather wise for searching.

Looking for any new news...
Police searching for party security guards for questioning about missing Monroe woman -
http://www.clickondetroit.com/news/...estioning-about-missing-monroe-woman/29489634

"She called the other friend at the party, 'Hey, come grab Chelsea's phone and give it to her.' The friend came out and got the phone. That friend never was able to find Chelsea again," said Kassie.

Looking for any more info about her phone..?

The people in the security guard pic have all been identified.

Hey everyone - can someone tell me then - does this (in red) still apply - from Nov 3, 2014:
...Monroe Police have also identified and spoken with four men who were wearing orange security shirts at the party, but have not said if any of them is possibly connected to the case.

Have the 'security' guys not yet been cleared???

Can't find anything being said about this in the news, but figure it's normal for LE not to say much at this point...

As for reward $$ getting people to talk - does that really happen? - thinking of high reward cases like Holly Bobo, Lauren Spierer.... But on the positive side, posting rewards gets media attention, and that's good...

This case is very unusual in that so many people were at the party and they were wearing masks - wow! a nightmare for LE.
So, was this a random attack by someone taking advantage of her being vulnerable, or was it someone who knew she'd be at the party and took advantage of that (the large masked crowd) to abduct her?

I continue to follow this case, maybe because I have children around her age and one is in a band, who knows but it has had me heart sick. I was out of town last week, and heard that an incident occurred at a bar in Toledo that has haunted me since I heard about it, but I feel I may sound like a lunatic if I send it to the tip line. I thought I would maybe run it by here to get the groups opinion.

At approximately 1 in the afternoon Monday, November 10th, a man who none of the regulars knew or recognized was at the bar trying to kill himself by stabbing himself in the chest, and cutting his wrists. The police were called and the man had to be tased, to subdue him.

I have not been able to find a police report, or name but apparently he gave a note to the bartender saying to give it to some man which with whom he was giving his cars and money to.

I cannot find anything else on this incident. The information I have been able to obtain is that he was a tall caucasion man from Michigan and was placed in the psych ward at a local hospital.

Am I just completely grasping at straws? This is a small neighborhood bar and as you can imagine was completely not something that has ever happened before.

You're well intended and grasping at straws is the only way to find the right straw, it seems to me. It will take many people doing the same thing you are and foregoing any doubts they have with the courage to seem foolish or wrong but calling in what stands out to them, in order to find who the POI is. It can't hurt to call it in. It easy enough for LE to follow-up through their lines of communication. Thank you for the information.

I have sent via the tip email address. As you said it can't hurt anything. Thank you.

Great of you to do. You set an admirable example. Thank you for that and more.

Glad you did. Much better to let LE figure out its worth than eat at you for not sending it in.

Freakishly coincidental..... if you do a google images search as "Chelsea Bruck suspect", an image for this news article is right next to her picture. I doubt it's related, but seriously caught my eye. http://www.13abc.com/story/26606315/third-suspect-in-bedford-vandalism-case-surrenders

I think it's important to note that there is no suspect in Chelsea's disappearance.

The police only want to find the man in the sketch (drawn from the description given by a merch seller at the party who says they saw Chelsea walk toward the parking area with the guy in the sketch) in the hopes that he has more information.

I'm afraid that people overlooking that fact may inadvertently discourage him or others from coming forward. Sketch guy is not a suspect -- he shouldn't be scared to go to the police with any information he has.

JMO. (But this info re: the sketch is in the Sheriff's press release at monroenews.com.)

The Lighting of the Christmas Tree and the parade were held in Monroe Saturday. This made me so proud of the High School Cheerleaders:

In the meantime, Monroe High School cheerleaders added purple ribbons to their Santa caps before they joined the parade route. Coach McMullen explained the ribbons are in keeping with the purple ribbon campaign in support of the search for Chelsea Bruck of Maybee, who has been missing since Oct. 26.
