It was extremely cold that night...I can only imagine how cold one would be after being exposed to the elements for several hours. Did POI offer Chelsea sweatshirt throughout the night? (maybe it was stored in his vehicle and wasn't needed due to a heavier costume he was wearing). Typically, if you meet someone and they let you use/borrow something...naturally you return it. It would seem this occurs as your saying your goodbye's (especially if it is someone that you don't know very well and/or have no intentions of seeing again). I would think most male acquaintances would not accept an article of clothing back under these circumstances. POI was said to be wearing a black sweatshirt at the time they walked away, w/ Chelsea wearing only her costume. At this point, is Chelsea cold, tired and vulnerable...which would make a warm car or a ride home a very attractive offer?

Based on the timeline presented by LE, I thought one of Chelsea's last known conversations occurred by the bond fire w/ a girl that she went to high school with around 3-3:15am. Did vendor (witness) see this conversation? *The conversation was said to have lasted 10-15 minutes. Was Chelsea wearing only her costume at this point? It seems Chelsea/POI must have started talking right around the same time...based on LE's timeline.*

I thought it looked like her hair was in a rubber band...and tucked under

The woman in the photo identified herself in the comments section of the Monroe County Sheriff's Facebook page. It's not Chelsea.

Not sure how helpful this going to be - The night of the party someone picked it up off the ground of the party site and brought it home with them.

Hi all. New to this thread. Do we know if the jug was found after she left? If so, it seems suspicious that she would just "drop" it on the way out and not take it with her. Perhaps something happened in the parking lot that forced her to drop it, like a scuffle. JMO

Thanks for the information...I did not see this!!

I haven't read anywhere besides here so don't really know of any theories. It just occured to me what if this POI was either a deliberate attempt to distract from looking at other people at the party or was a case of mistaken identity? I believe I read Chelsea changed at some point during the night into a sweatshirt? Was she still wearing a wig when she left? If she was wearing a sweatshirt and no wig when she left, she would have looked very different than when in her poison ivy costume. Am I right in thinking its reported she was last seen in her costume? But that conflicts with reports she changed?
I have to be honest this thought crossed my mind. *I am not sure that I am questioning whether it could be a deliberate attempt to mislead individuals from looking at other potential suspects but it seems for one reason or another POI sketch may be flawed. The sketch has not lead investigators to anyone so far...from what we know. *I know there was a lot of people at party, most of which, were said to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol which would alter one's ability to recognize and/or retain specific, intricate details. However, I still find it strange, out of all these people, no one knows or recalls seeing this individual. Yes, I know/believe this individual may have changed their appearance throughout the night but one thing is for sure...based on witness we know he wasn't wearing a mask or costume when he was last seen w/ Chelsea near the bond fire. How many individuals were still at the party around 3:00am? What was the environment like..had it become dark and desolate w/ not many people around? Did witness (vendor) physically pack up and leave Post/Williams rd that night? If so, what time did he leave the event? *I ask these questions because maybe the timeline is off...could it have been later in the evening?Has it been confirmed if Chelsea actually arranged for someone to come/pick her up? *(I thought I heard that she called a friend but when the friend arrived she could not find Chelsea...not sure if this a rumor.)

I was just curious about the guy selling merchandise. Since he seems to be the ONLY one who "saw" the sketch guy with Chelsea, and NO ONE has been able to identify him, nor has anyone come forward claiming to be the guy in the sketch.... Is it possible that the merchant could have something to hide or be dishonest about? Has LE looked into him at all?
Not accusing him....just tossing around theories. MOO!!

There is no official POI so we should call him the unofficial POI.

Friends offered her a ride, and a few told her to call if she needed a ride. She never actually requested a ride from them, though. I'd have to re-read the whole thread to find it, but I am pretty sure we discussed that here.

POI is just a Person of interest, not a suspect. It is OK to say POI.

Just a friendly reminder, we do have a couple of people posting here who are related to Chelsea's family members. Be thoughtful in posting this sort of info. Thanks!

I'm sorry - I wasn't trying to be unthoughtful. Is there a more appropriate avenue for sharing this sort of information?

While I know this is, also, somebody's child, parent, sibling. I cannot help but pray that
This is not Chelsea :please:

I know. As soon as I saw this my heart sank, even though I've only been following this story for a few days now. I was searching for something relating to another case, and this story came up in my search results. I'm really hoping this isn't her and she's found alive and safe.

That's OK. I know you weren't! I didn't know if you realized there are "relatives of relatives" here.

There is a thread for this one, that is probably a better place until we know the identity ....http://www.websleuths.com/forums/sh...-walker-finds-body-on-Lake-Michigan-shoreline

I don't think it is our Chelsea, though. There was a boat found in Lake Michigan @ September 18, about 9 miles off-shore. The 48 year old man is missing. (Milwaukee Harbor) It is quite possible it is this man. http://woodtv.com/2014/09/18/boat-found-on-lake-michigan-missing-man-not-on-board/

Oh yes, that sounds more plausible. I didn't realize a boat was found. Thanks!

Never mind, I just found a link about the man you were referring to - his body was found in October.... So this person is still an unknown.

In any case, I will go to the other thread to discuss this further, as to not upset Chelsea's family.

I have advised the girls about the body just in case but it's the other side of the state so it seems somewhat unlikely.

About the jug- Apparently the jug just kind of got of passed around from friend to friend over the course of the night, someone set it down by the fire and someone else picked it up and took it home with them. I believe when they recognized what they had once news of Chelsea's disappearance spread they called the police to let them know they had the jug and they surrendered it to the police.

I know that Chelsea borrowed a phone quite late into the party, I believe she borrowed it from the girl she spoke to at the bonfire and attempted to contact her friends to get a ride but nobody picked up their phones it would have been quite late at that point.
