Wow! That is quite a revelation! They must know who he is and just gathering enough evidence for a solid arrest and conviction. That would be my guess.

The article says they don't know who he is (yet), which is why they are focusing so much time and attention on raising money for leads.

If he really had a conversation with them, I put a lot more stock in his description than I did before!

As many here have suggested, SOMEONE knows who Chelsea was seen with when she left the party that night. :moo: SOMEONE knows and should do the right thing.

But, but, but...how can they say - he (the 'witness' who provided the info for the sketch) definitely saw 'them' (the STILL unidentified POI & Chelsea), had a conversation with 'them' --- when 'them' aren't here to verify???...iykwim?

It is puzzling...

Naw, I think they know and are just making sure they have enough to convict. Probably hoping he leads them (LE) to her. Reminds me of the Lamar case. MOO. That said, who knows.
But I think there is a great deal that LE has not shared. They will never tell the family to stop fundraisers because if she has passed on, they need to find her. Better chance of conviction that way.
God bless her family. Prayers continue.

If LE would arrange with the DA to make an offer to the abductor that regardless of the happenings there would be no death penalty someone might tell. It worked on another case recently.

I don't think it is a given that someone who may have seen Chelsea talking to some guy would know who the guy was, at a party of this size.

We don't have the death penalty in MI.

Weren't these locals (for the most part) or from near by who were regulars at these concerts? If you break that in to packs of ten, you can get a more manageable who knows who and connect some dots or start eliminating.

In this case an offer of a minimum sentence. For example penalty 15-30 years {considered life} would be 15 years

The Brucks are an amazing family, and Kassandra, as good as sisters get, I think. I hope this season brings in a lead that will bring Chelsea Bruck home. This POI is known to people somewhere, if not LE yet. Some may be reluctant to say anything, people who may be close to him, who may be afraid of what they see. It's got to hurt a little bit, if they do see through what he may be hiding. Others may be totally unaware, or others, still not brave enough or interested enough to step up. The vendor knows what he sounds like, if a conversation was had, a lot of information, but not enough apparently. I would guess this POI may often go places alone, late at night, besides the concerts. That may set off somebody's radar, one of these days. He may seem all tied up in himself somehow, apart, and unknown.

Looking at the band's itinerary, the concerts are mostly local - small clubs, bars, etc. in metro-Detroit. My guess is that their fan base is primarily local with some folks coming from the greater Toledo area or even northeastern Indiana.

Thirty years in prison is not a life sentence. A person who receives a life sentence in MI spends the rest of their natural life in prison with no chance of parole. If the POI is in his early 20s and received a 15-year sentence, he could be out of prison by age 40 and have many more years in his natural life.

female body found in a cornfield in Edinburgh, Indiana yesterday. It's about 4.5 hours away, so might be a stretch, but I know many of us mentioned cornfields.

ETA/ Whoops just looking for more info and realized they don't state the body is female, I think i just went with female in my mind after reading the comments.

On the map it looks like almost a straight shot from Monroe to Edinburgh, albeit the back roads?
Those spooky cornfields are great concealment spots.
If this is the dear girl,I predict a swift arrest.

Some here have mentioned that the POI could have been (or is) a college student. Edinburgh isn't far from Indianapolis where there are major college campuses, including Indiana University, Ball State, and Butler University. A branch of Purdue in the same area. It's quite a distance from Newport, but still within the realm of possibility that a college student could have traveled to the Monroe area for the band's Halloween gig. I wonder if there are missing persons from that area.

The article says that the person who saw her with the POI had a conversation with them. Does anyone know what was said between them? Perhaps I missed that part...

Wow! ... this is HUGE... IMO!

that... The person who went to the sketch artist had a conversation with the POI and Chelsea!
