QUOTE=BetteDavisEyes;11325339]Some here have mentioned that the POI could have been (or is) a college student. Edinburgh isn't far from Indianapolis where there are major college campuses, including Indiana University, Ball State, and Butler University. A branch of Purdue in the same area. It's quite a distance from Newport, but still within the realm of possibility that a college student could have traveled to the Monroe area for the band's Halloween gig. I wonder if there are missing persons from that area.[/QUOTE]

If I were LE, I would be looking at email/mailing lists of that band, and their facebook page. (And who WAS on it until after this concert). College students often have a college email address, or will often state where they are going to college on their facebook page.

No new news on my end. I spoke to my mother-in-law yesterday (Chelsea's mom) they are planning another big push of flyers going out with pizza boxes for New Year's Day as it's supposed to be one of the biggest pizza delivery days of the year.

A note about the FBI as I saw a few people asking, the case has been brought to their attention but beyond that I have no idea of their involvement if they were ever really involved at all beyond just being aware that it happened.

But, but, but...how can they say - he (the 'witness' who provided the info for the sketch) definitely saw 'them' (the STILL unidentified POI & Chelsea), had a conversation with 'them' --- when 'them' aren't here to verify???...iykwim?

It is puzzling...

Yes. Which always leaves the person who purportedly saw "them" as someone to keep an eye on until ruled out. It's no wonder people don't want to come forward with information...

Good hear from you. Thank you for letting us know. Your sister-in-law did a great job last night, raising awareness about Chelsea and the picture of the POI.

People need to remember he exists, was seen, talked with by the witness who provided the information for the sketch, and that little is known about who he may be, where he is, what he may know about where she may be. Kassie Bruck said all the right things to remind people to keep an eye out for him and her. The POI sounds like he lives in some kind of cocoon where nobody has made the connection to the sketch or where he was that night. Maybe nobody who suspects him is willing to or maybe brave enough to speak up. The higher the reward in this case, the better the chances, it seems to me.

Someone local please please please go to as many universities as possible in the area and hand out flyers. Post them wherever the kids hang out on campus

^ Most schools are on semester/winter break now. Classes resume January 5.

I'm vaguely familiar with the case. Since Lauren's been missing for more than three years, a body in a regularly planted/harvested cornfield would have been discovered during that time. The newly-discovered body was probably placed there recently. :moo:

That's a great idea! Additionally, I noticed on FCBFB that there is a fundraiser on December 29.

Chelsea Bruck Fundraiser will be December 29th at Nick and Nino's. PLEASE make your plans NOW to attend. Nino and Tony will be donating 15% of all Food Sales from Noon - 8PM to the Bruck Family. T-shirts will also be available. Please plan on attending and showing your support to the Family.

Yes, that is who I thought of immediately! But did the article say "another body"...?
Never mind I must have read it wrong.

That comment was added by me, I thought the "*" would suffice to separate. My apologies.

Probably a reference to a body found in Edinburgh, IN over the weekend.

Thoughts and prayers for the families and loved ones of the missing/deceased.

It frustrates me to no end knowing there are families in grief or worry during the holidays. While any time is sad, the holidays somehow feel even worse.

Absent members are always remembered when families are together, I imagine for most.
