Community support is still going strong here. Weather is definitely not cooperating. Still getting more snow and icy rain this week. Thaw will be later than normal. When it does thaw, we are going to have big muddy messes to deal with before much walking in areas can be done.

New fliers get posted and sent out to other areas, donations still come, there was another benefit (bowling) recently. Family, friends, and volunteers have not stopped.

Personally, I believe the local efforts have been and continue to be fantastic.

Regarding BBM - curious what those here think about taking off the picture of the POI ? He just looks too Harry Potter, almost comical I hate to say, and the real could be sitting back thinking he's gotten away with it.

How many can really recall what a person looks like for a sketch artist. I see lots of people in a local cafe each week. No way could I ever instruct a sketch artist in making a sketch from someone seen for just a short time. Even those I see more regularity; it wouldn't be accurate. So I wonder how/why someone late at night, who would be tired and ready to pack it in, could come up with something...

IMO, LE should casually test a person who's provided a sketch. Simply have someone in the office talk to the person, then see if what kind of sketch can provided a day later..

The whole sketch thing always seemed less than reliable to me, being that it was a Halloween party and witnesses may have been intoxicated, not knowing if the person they saw was in costume or not. I hope that is not the extent of the "clues". It seems to be. If LE has more, it may be time to be up front with community and try to get their help. Jmo

I hadn't realized that. Thank you for noticing. I wonder why they don't all have the sketch. I haven't heard that it is no longer viable. Not sure whether that is good or bad....

I really need to process my thoughts ......... disgust, anger, scared, hopeful. How does one reconcile such a stomach turning convolution of emotions.. ?

investigators had moved away from the theory a casual acquaintance had murdered Niswender and were looking closer to home.

And yes, Old Steve and BDE, I have always thought the Niswender & Bruck cases were connected. I don't think the Niswender POI is our "sketch guy", but they could very well be connected.

The "sketch" guy isn't necessarily who Chelsea left with (or the person who took her). Sketch guy might have walked with her to parking lot where she met up with someone else, or someone was "waiting" for her :scared:

I just can't get my mind off these two cases and how they may be connected now. My stomach is in such knots that I feel sick from the anxiety it has provoked.

He may not have been at the party. Seems likely he would have been noticed if he was. He could have told someone about CB, have a connection to sex trafficking, arranged to pick her up (meet down the road or ...?). My mind can come up with several ways he could know something even if he didn't actually do anything with/to CB.

from several of the articles, he has not been forthcoming on his whereabouts the night of Julia's death (my interpretation). He probably will be questioned on his whereabouts on the night CB disappeared now, if he hasn't already been.

His booking photo looked like he was wearing a protective vest of some sort (protective or suicide prevention?)

It was an outdoor concert with performances by several bands. It happened to be around Halloween and took on a party atmosphere because some folks came in costume.
