So, just thinking out loud, I wonder if they followed up on the tip at that reported location, found something, then went back and secured a warrant so they could finish processing the scene, or if they got a warrant immediately without an initial search based on their tip then found the piece of the costume...

Whoever submitted the tip would have to have some insider knowledge...

I did not follow this case, you guys who have been, like FindHG, must be $hitting bricks...this is HUGE...

The original search radius was 10-12 miles from the site of the Halloween bash. Seems like the abandoned building was just outside that perimeter :(

Would think it would have stood out, such an eye sore...
Anxious to learn what else has been found... My fear is that it's a ruse, or sick trick by whomever took Chelsea...

Halloween parties are a bad idea in general; it brings the borderline types out. In costume no less. An LE friend of mine once told me I would be amazed at what people will do when they think they are anonymous.
How did this sweet girl get mixed up with such a bunch. So very sad.

I have nothing but gut instinct to back this up, but I think this is the real deal.
That said, she may have passed over in this location, but resting elsewhere. We shall see.

I would love to know what "other" evidence was found in addition to her costume top.

This is a huge development since we have all been waiting for SOMETHING. I still wonder if her wig was found but not released to the public.

IMO, I believe that to be her leaf from her costume. I think that LE knows a lot more that they can discuss right now. JMO

Question for anyone who lives near the Monroe area or has been near Flat Rock in the area of the search: What bodies of water are nearby? My instinct tells me that Chelsea is in water.

Agree. I believe she most likely passed over an hour or so within leaving the party.

Let there be answers and peace for the family!

Chelsea didn't have her Cell Phone on her the night she went missing.

Oh yeaaaaaah :blushing: then why report on finding one...

There appears to be a couple of nearby marshy areas, and the River Raisin is never too far from anywhere in that area...of course Lake Erie and it's tributaries.

My guess is to follow up on WHOSE it might be perhaps? May be nothing but one never knows. It was late, dark perhaps a struggle...

the leaf looks like a different material, and a different shape. The single leaf is more rounded; Chelsea's are softer and somewhat three-points. JMO

A tipster has come forward and provided info that has led to this latest search, and the discovery of some clothing (?) of Chelsea's. So we can extrapolate and believe there are at least two people who have knowledge of this crime.

But my question is, how many more? Was this a gang of people from the party carrying out some sick sacrifice? We know according to LE that most at the party were in an altered state. If you listen to the lyrics of Pick Axe Preacher, it is promoting the underworld, death, violence.
Was this a group attack?

There is also a possibility of a drug overdose, whether by her own efforts or having it forced on her. But the fact that the costume top may have been found leads me in a different direction. JMO
