So, no links to the live video yet? Just recaps in writing? Thanks for your links, FindHG.

I missed the first couple of minutes, I think. It wasn't very long, and Mrs. Brucks emphasis was to give the police space, not say things that may be hurt the investigation as police continue their work, and that she is keeping her faith and hope strong as they wait to see where things go. You're welcome, Spellie.

Search area needs to be expanded outward from the site where the "evidence" was found - including waterways.

Let's keep the Bruck family in our thoughts and prayers. :rose:

Thanks, BDE, for the link, these are some incomplete notes on the PC:

Kassie mentioned that the tip was a result of somebody walking and seeing the clothing and that she considers this a big break.

Yesterday was very hard, seeing the pictures of the place was hard, the scenarios running through her head as a result.

At 3 pm that day, Chelsea didn't even know she was going, missed one ride, then caught another. Mrs. Bruck thinks back on the day.

I believe there was an after-glow at that abandoned building. Maybe Chelsea went to the party with someone she trusted. Something bad happened. (

Thanks for the link to the full PC, BDE. That family is just so amazing in their faith and strength. It appeared (to me) that at the beginning of the conference they were very stressed and fighting back tears, especially the sister. I cannot imagine I would ever be as eloquent with my words as Mrs. Bruck..... to the point of reminding us of the many, MANY other missing person cases and including males can go missing. She encouraged the use of Facebook and sharing our thoughts or understanding, and our support. And she reminded us that if we come across anything that might be a clue, DO NOT TOUCH IT, REPORT IT!

What else can I say? She has my utmost respect, which makes me all the more willing to put every ounce of energy and support to finding Chelsea.

BTW, what is an after-glow?

A party after the party. Like a post-prom party. When the main event is over, revelers don't want the fun to end. :D

I assume an "after-glow" is a party or event of some sort scheduled for after the main party/event.

I think that area was often used by kids/young adults looking to do some nefarious activity such as drugs, sex, alcohol. It is not uncommon around here for young people to "party" at such places, the quarries are often a place of danger, and a few deaths, due to such activity by "trespassers". Being fenced does not keep them out. At this particular place, the fence has sections where the fence is open and can easily give access. It was cold in the fall, but not too cold for snuggling, if that was the intent. Nothing stops things if the intent is strong enough.

Ah. They were called after-hours a while back, but didn't go to any. They would start around breakfast time and I liked pancakes more.

Now that the abandoned warehouse has been exposed as a possible crime scene, I am absolutely, thoroughly convinced that there are folks who were there and know exactly what happened to Chelsea. Time for anyone with information to do the right thing and contact LE. Sooner or later, the truth will come out.

Off to the gym and some errands. Be back later...

Just wanted to add my thanks to you all for the local links. I've been following since Chelsea first went missing. All of you here are such kind people and this thread became my oasis from another that became so snarky and nasty I couldn't continue following that case.
I have no words to describe this family. My heart aches for them. May Chelsea speak to us all to bring her home.

Agreed, implicitly Spellie. What's more to say? I zone out watching what they seem to be going through. I have nothing but admiration for them.

I agree with you about the people on this thread. Thank you for your posts too and I look forward to more.

I have been following this thread and was shocked at what I saw when I clicked on the missing persons thread for Makayla McLaughlin from Lenaway county. I'm not sure how far this is from the area that Chelsea disappeared from but man oh man! Does anyone else see a resemblance!? They found this guy with Makayla in Georgia. I sure hope they ask him a few questions about this case.... View attachment 72598View attachment 72600

Can you call your tip and picture in. You just never know.

With all due respect...that is a sound statement indeed, in my past LE experience, it's easy, especially now with the internet for well meaning people and armchair detectives to forward to and contact LE and assume they may have some great insight for the professionals but the truth is they would rather not have to waste their time following up on "ideas and clues" that are not based on anything more then mere speculation. Obviously when they get those, they have to check them out regardless of the source and it can be time consuming.

I'm sorry. Is this in reference to the poi pictures?

While I completely respect the family and their right for privacy I feel like the public is part of the reason this new information has been found. What if the person who found this article of clothing never bothered to report it?

I feel like reporting things is a necessary and important part of why many crimes are solved. That is the job of the police to vett out the information and determine if it is relevant or not...it doesn't have to involve the family and causes no harm if it turns out to be irrelevant to the case.

No, not at all, it was a response to BDE's post and to be honest I had not even read past that when I posted. I just went back now and did but it was not specifically directed at anyone, just a general observation. When I post things directed at another poster I will always refer to them by name.
