They are not on the way to each other. Maybee is west of where the party was. Flat Rock is north of the party and then you would need to go west and south again quite a ways to hit Maybee.... At least 30 minutes. But it was the next day/night, since I believe it was around 3am a whole day later, anything is possible...

Hoping and raying: there is DNA on the items related to Chelsea that were found near the abandoned warehouse. If the leaf-covered top to her costume was recovered, it would likely have blood stains if she did, indeed, have a bloody nose.

Someone mentioned up-thread that bloody noses usually gush and can cause spatter on clothing. I can attest to that from a recent nosebleed after I sneezed Blood splattered on my Red Wings tee shirt, and I used about 10 tissues before the profuse bleeding stopped. Happy ending: I soaked the tee shirt in Ivory liquid, and there's no hint of blood stains.

Remember the day after Chelsea was taken there was a robbery at a gas station - anyone know proximity to where piece of her costume been found?

I always was suspicious of this thinking maybe it was the perp and got the money to drive away and be under the radar for awhile. But the party was Saturday night and this happened Monday morning ... But still on my mind being they have no info or suspect.

Trying to figure out what would prompt him to think his connection to her may be exposed and could give clues to her location?

Great question, I'm not sure if we know WHEN hero went to police. I know the MSM reported it around January 29th, early February.

I would think it took LE a bit of time to figure out his statements were false and I believe active searches were going on up to at least Thanksgiving.

Any other WS's able to chime in?

I can't find a specific date as to when he talked to police, but the articles saying he lied to them are from the end of January. As far as I know, searches organized by the family ended about a week or two into November. I think that was posted on the HFCB page. There have been several fundraisers since then, but no activity until the big Point Mouilee search recently, and now Flat Rock.

I also noticed another trailer park that backs up to the field that I never even knew was here so there are two trailer parks surrounding the field where the evidence was found...it looks like there is only a small fence separating the field from the one trailer park on van horn road. The other is across peters rd from the field.

May I suggest the Find Chelsea organizers talk to the Principal of the High school where Chelsea graduated, the local church officials, and the local chapters of the boy and girl scouts to organize a Saturday morning of "Chores for Chelsea". The idea would be for each individual student (or volunteer of any age) to hire themselves out for a chore to benefit the Find Chelsea effort. These chores could be cleaning out a garage, hauling away an old piece of furniture, painting a garage door, washing windows, waxing a car, etc. The minimum donation requested would be $25.00 for any given chore. All chore volunteers could meet at the courthouse steps or wherever at 4pm on that Saturday where the local paper could take a group picture of these awesome volunteers as they turn in their donations!

Something tells me the people of Monroe, MI could pull off an incredible "Chores for Chelsea" day, and the beauty of it is that everyone can participate! And really feel good about doing something to help bring Chelsea home!

Yes, the pictures should be fine, they always have been in the past. Don't post pics with children in them, or anyone really unless it's you I'd think (or blur out faces perhaps if you can't avoid it) and probably should blur out license plates, not sure about address numbers on private homes.

I know I've posted here before but the movement has excited me!

I also want to touch on PAP sand the whole music thing. My boyfriend is into that scene (already grilled him,, he knows absolutely nothing ha!) but don't put too much thought into the music and it's sometimes macabre lyrics and sound. It's loud, it's angry, it's hardcore. I'd say compare is to how parents went over hysterics and refused to let their kids listen to the Rolling Stones and other such "devil worshipping" music.. See the pattern forming here?
