reply to rose of angels Any of this area hunting grounds?

I wouldnt think so, not animal anyway.. :hiding: its pretty flat land and trees are sparse. semi residential, maybe some farming and industrial. That place with all the cars is not far behind there. Someone had been clearing it to build a house there. Perhaps someone was planning to go back to bury/hide her and couldnt? incarcerated, or deceased, or scared. Maybe they werent going to return at all.

They weren't going to return

Because it is really really hard to see earthly remains outside. I have know of grid searches where people have literally been an inch away from remains and missed them, only to find them later.

There's a school on the corner of Carleton Rockwood Rd and Briar Hill Rd.

I was just thinking about Jessica Heeringa who is also missing from MI, but the location from where Chelsea disappeared is much closer. Just a thought.

This is a classic drop scene. LE all ready found the crime scene. No one was coming back. IMO

Francis X. Donnelly, The Detroit News 7:01 p.m. EDT April 24, 2015

The body of a woman was discovered Friday by workers in a field near a construction site in Monroe County,

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office is trying to determine whether the woman is Chelsea Bruck, who has been missing since October.

The body was found in Ash Township near Briar Hill and Will Carleton roads, said law enforcement officials.

The spot is 15 miles from a Newport farmhouse where Bruck, 22, was last seen leaving a Halloween party Oct. 25.

The body will be transported to the Wayne County Medical Examiner's Office, said Ryan Bridges, county spokesman. Medical Examiner Carl Schmidt serves both Wayne and Monroe counties...

I have a feeling I won't be able to sleep tonight... Poor Chelsea.

The perp must be a local, to know all of these secluded areas and spots. I bet they're feeling really terrified right now. JMO

"The skeletal remains of a female body were found Friday afternoon on private property off of Briar Hill Rd., according to Monroe County Sheriff Dale Malone. The remains were unclothed, the sheriff said.

<snip>

"Sheriff Malone said that law enforcement officers now were waiting for a transport company to come and remove the remains. The sheriff said it will take 24 to 48 hours to positively identify the victim, probably by using dental records to identify the body found."

I am pretty sure I pinpointed the exact location of today's search/recovery. Using Google maps, 13630 Briar Hill Rd. crosses the railroad track. Looking at this video it starts with a pic of a concrete chunk (pilot? former bridge work?) with what appear to be gate posts to its left.

In the maps below, taken from google maps searches, I have a pic of the intersection, screenshot from the video I just linked, and a view just down for. the corner alongside the tracks. Next to the tracks you can see that concrete slab and the posts.

A couple more pics from same intersection, screen shots from the video Fox2, Detroit. One snows the concrete and fare posts clearer, the other shoes the crossing/stop sign.

The remains were found when workers were backfilling property building up the foundation for a house.
When the workers were dumping dirt to backfill the property, the truck doing the work got stuck. When workers went to get the truck unstuck, they found the remains, the sheriff said.

ETA:
The road leading to the property was only recently constructed.

Hi All,
I just saw this about a female body being found in Ash Township, just north of where the party was held. The road in Ash Township mentioned , Briar Hill Road, is about 6.9 miles away and only 9 minutes by car. It will take a few days for a positive identification. I hope and pray that it is not Chelsea.

Too late for that one of his sisters already called him when he was on the road, he called and told me. He's at least coming home tonight, he may head to Michigan in the morning.

Kilen

If you check in, let us know as he makes his way home, if you get the chance.
