Maybe LE asked him "when you helped her into a car didn't you get blood on yourself"? And he said he did. I have a feeling LE does not suspect this person and he embellished his story in such a way that he was unbelievable.
Perhaps, and I agree, I do not think LE considers him a suspect. I think he knows or can possibly supply more information.

Additionally, parts of her costume were found in Flat Rock on Easter, at a known nefarious hang out and across the road from a home HB referenced frequently.

It seems to bespeak some local knowledge of the area, possibly of the tracks that connects both sights, it seems to me. As secluded as the spot is, there are a lot more even more secluded not too far from there.

I noticed this afternoon that one of he's friends had a shared post on his page attempting to connect a wld to the case. Wld. Is currently in custody for being with a 13 yo old girl from Ohio.
I'm glad somebody finally brought WLD back up. Towards the beginning of the case I learned a quite a bit about him, some of which I brought up. I spoke with a couple of WS members about him. I submitted a tip about him but no longer have access to the email address I used to know whether or not I got a reply. IMO, he's worth looking into more. I was able to link him to various states including MI. There are a couple of other interesting tidbits that I stumbled upon, but I can't link them since he is not a POI in this case. <modsnip> He's definitely still on my suspect list.

I know you're very familiar with both case. Could you try to explain to me why it is that the POI in Julia's case could be simultaneously looked at for her murder, and excluded from being the POI because he likes child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬? I realize it wasn't you that criticized that line of thinking, and I realize that in fact you DON"T believe that line of thinking. But you are well informed of both cases so that's why I'm asking you. :)

Becuase I was unaware that those two things were mutually exclusive but apparently I'm not getting something.

Maybe you can help me to understand this line of thinking? Then again, I don't think ANYONE can explain it. If child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 conniseurs can't be murderers of anyone over the age of xx, that'd be swell to put in lawbooks to save investigators loads of time all over the world.

sex offenders usually have an attraction to age group and not other for 5 year olds and less or for grade school aged kids or for tweens or for teenagers or for adults. I think they each have specific name. it doesn't mean its impossible but its unlikely. If a pedophile was to murder an adult it would likely be to get to a child or to keep someone from exposing them. I don't think that fits into Chelseas case.

I could not find any source that states a killer prefers to dump a body in a comfort zone area. It seems plausible, but again, I could find nothing to link to as a source of this information. I'm stating it *could be* a fallacy and I believe it is. I am not an expert by any means, it's just my opinion (as stated). Could someone please cite a source?

ill find a source when i get a minute I'll find a link but this is true of killers in general, also remember a place you are "comfortable with" can have a wide range of means to different people. But its usually an area the offender has some sort of link to.

I hope LE has some solid leads about who might have murdered Chelsea.

its obvious to me so it must be obvious to them now the question is only can they get enough evidence to prove it.

What I found interesting is that some of the individual's we have been "watching" are sharing the photos and information on WLD thru their fb's with each other!

Chelsea was showing SOMETHING on her phone/device to others at the June outdoor concert. WHAT was it? She didn't carry her phone with her at the Halloween party (it was locked in a friend's vehicle). Was there a PHOTO on Chelsea's phone that she shared with others? WHAT is that photo?

imo its unrelated i show something on my phone to other people daily it could have been anything.

Jennifer N. attended the candlelight vigil:

"It's still hard for me to believe that Kassie is going through almost the same situation I went through," she said. "There's going to be a lot more hard times but I want her to know I'm here for her. I believe we were brought together to be each other's support system."

The simplest, most likely scenario IMO is (may be similar to what others have posted, I do not claim originality):

It is quite possible that HB and Chelsea knew each other, since they went to the same high school. But they probably weren't friends. At the party
HB offered a ride to Maybee, but he took a detour. He may have claimed that the road along the railroad was a shortcut. He parked the car in a very quiet spot and tried to assault her in the car. She got out of the car and he caught up with her and killed her. He did not bother to hide the body, but went straight back to his mother's house. At home, or close to home he realized he still had evidence in the car which he simply discarded by throwing it over a fence, or throwing it away in near the abandoned buildings.

Questions:
- Does HB or his mother have a car? Did he drive that night?
- Is HB still in custody?
- What other evidence did LE get? Perhaps the confiscated the car or other things at HB's home(s).

ding ding ding we've got a winner.

IMO
Why would he even add that detail UNLESS he was worried her body or clothing would be found (sooner) and evidence could be tied back to him?

I cannot figure how that detail would have even been relevant for any other reason.

Would anyone say they had a missing woman's blood on them?

I am merely suggesting that I believe he knows more than he's recanted, and a false tip is less of a crime than accessory to murder before or after the fact.

there is no other reason!

This pretty much has to be HB -

1. he was at the party.
2. he generally looks like he could be the sketch especially if you put glass on him and if he had longer hair than he has in the mug shot.
3. he came forward and inserted himself into the case with an illogical story BUT if you look at it it is a story that, at least in his mind, gives a possible explanation to the following:
- someone saw him with her.
- someone saw him and her walking towards the parking lot.
- someone saw him putting her in a car possibly injured.
- her DNA or other possible biological evidence is found on his clothes or otherwise on his property.
pretty convenient that the weird story covers all those bases.
4. Her property has found in a out of the way area right next to where he used to live/lives.
5. Her body was found near where we believe he went to high school.

I find it hard to believe that this could all be coincidence. I think he got nervous and went to the cops to try to cover his bases (for all we know he didn't just decide to talk to them maybe his name might have come up in their investigation and they called him and ask him to come talk to them).

I think he acted alone because I feel strongly that this was a sexual assault and that is much more often a solo deal than it involves more than one person. I think it was not something he had planned out I think she was a target of opportunity, and he decided to act on preexisting fantasies crossing the line was possibly aided by the liquid courage. My initial thought was he brought her to the flat rock location the offense occurred there and then the body was brought elsewhere to be dumped, but since LE say the offense likely occurred near the body site I'm guessing they have a reason to say that. In that cases the flat rock location was a dump for some stuff he still had, stuff that had gotten left in the car, or stuff he wanted to stash close by so he could go back and visit.

I think sadly Chelsea will end up being just like I heard a poster here describe Hannah Graham 'just a girl who needed a ride home and meet up with the WRONG person' Which it is horribly tragic 1. that it happened at all and 2. that it is even something that anyone has to worry about happening.

One last thought how incredibly lucky is it that the body was found at all considering where it was located. I went back and looked at the old satellite images on google earth and that plot of land has basically not changed one iota since 1993 and it just so happens someone was building there now.

this is from google maps street view showing the track. This image is from 2011. IF you look at the tire tracks i have crudely tried to circle you see that not only is it possible to drive on the side of the tracks, it is something that is done regularly

This theory is contingent upon there actually being blood on his shirt. Do we have any confirmation of that? I thought his whole story was debunked from top to bottom. ?

TIA

  • #877
is this in response to me?

  • #878
When I mentioned that I compared HB's photo side-by-side with the sketch, someone responded with a comment about HB post on Facebook to the effect that "(he) didn't like long hair". When was that posted? I'd find it highly suspect if he posted the "hair" remark in recent months when he might have changed his hair because he knew that he resembled the sketch. :waitasec:

  • #879
to the best of my knowledge it was reported that her blood being on his shirt was his story and his story was proven to be false and I don't think we know anymore details. So we don't know if he actually gave them any of his clothes or if they ask for them or if they were tested. It's irrelevant to my theory because if my theory is correct then some of her trace evidence is in his car somewhere, or at least it was and likely her blood was or other ____ was on him at some point. This was his feeble (and as we know ultimately unsuccessful attempt to be able to explain that without have to say she was in his car.

  • #880
I was commenting on the post that said the only good reason to make up a story was to cover how the blood got on his shirt. I am questioning if there was blood on his shirt or if this was a fabrication? I had not read that there was any confirmed blood and thought I had read it all made up. [just asking for clarification on this topic as I cannot remember that detail].

TIA

ETA: Looking for the media thread for this case and can't find one. If there is one, could someone please post the link?
