Are you from New Zealand? Your name seems to suggest this (as well as the fact that you refer to "the Crown").

I think with "backed into a girl" she means backing up into another car that had a girl in it. But possibly someone hit the girl by driving backwards. I don't think that anyone was actually run over. There is probably some truth to what CO says, but I am not sure what it means.

Ahh yes, CO's comment could be referring to backing up into another car that had a girl in it, rather than actually backing up into (i.e. running over) a girl as I had assumed. Hard to know what is meant and whether it is significant or not :thinking:

I initially thought LE had someone ready to arrest after finding Chelsea. It's been almost 3 months. Growing a little concerned they may not have as much as I thought..Its very unsettling for the community

Joseph Hall is from Dundee. Spurlock and Hall both worked in Petersburg, for Stevens Disposal and recycling. I don't have much time, but these articles give this in for and a lot more. Seems Hall went to the Dundee Police and turned himself in.

On Friday, the preliminary examination for Spurlock was adjourned until July 31. Joseph Hall did not appear in court. His attorney said he had developed a medical condition and the judge ordered a psychiatric evaluation.

I found the case interesting, because there seemed to be some connections to Chelsea Bruck. However, I do not think that Hall or Spurlock were involved in Chelsea's death. The biggest mystery in the murders by these two is
why? This story reminds me of "in cold blood".

Nothing new has been heard that I know of. It has been too quiet.

Chelsea's brother posted a new post in the HFCB Facebook group thanking everyone for searching, donations, employers for giving time off work, etc. No update on the actual case but an update in terms of the group has been very quiet for the past few months.

Another thing that has come up is that JN, a friend of Chelsea and her sister's who was also murdered, was mentioned in the news this week as the porn charges against her stepfather were declared a mistrial. The article mentions her stepfather is considered a person of interest in Julia's death though, which continues to leave a strange connection between the two girls whose murders both remain unsolved.

Could the cause of death lead LE to the killer? We know it's a homicide, the location, but not the cause. How could the cause of death ID the killer? Is the cause of death the same as other homicides in the area?

Wow interesting. I am a local (live an hour north). Once a week I check the FB page to see if any updates. So frustrating. A friend I used to work with is her cousin - was shocked as everything is very quiet. Hoping for justice soon.

It's hard to believe. A killer walks free among all of us. Frustrating indeed. Hoping the silence is a sign of justice working undercover to nab the person (s) responsible.

There are a lot of marsh areas in Monroe County, but the one that I know a lot of young people will hang out is in Carleton, MI. Crosswinds Marsh:
1,000 acre wetland/wildlife preserve which offers a variety of outdoor activities. Crosswinds offers seven miles of hiking trails, fishing, picnic areas, 4.5 miles of horseback riding trails, and 4.5 miles of cross-country ski trails.
