LOL...I was trying to spell Samaritan with the spell check and clicked on the wrong word. I know LE found the jug CB was carrying around on BM's property (party guy) to go with her costume. I wonder if LE checked it for drugs. Was there red wine in the jug? It was never said what CB's drink of choice was.

It was filled with water and food coloring. She wasn't really drinking from the "wine jug"....it was only a prop.

At first sight, someone dumping the costume out in the open in an abandoned area where teens and others are known to go party seems like amateur hour. Anyone with half a brain would burn or conceal the evidence is some way. It could have been an 'end of the night panic decision' by someone in a borrowed car. Or, someone planted the costume there to throw LE off the trial.

I still think the costume may have been left behind by accident, there was a struggle where it was removed and maybe unnoticed that no one, if more than one perp, picked it up. Then not wanting to place themselves in that field again as it would have been known to them as a crime scene, it wasnt discovered. Possibly but LE I thought said they believed the crime happened where her body was found and not far from that area. I mean the (flat rock) area does look like somewhere a murder or rape could happen, but you also have to consider a trailer park community is not very far from there also. When i drove by there were people walking their dogs down the road in front of those industrial buildings.

So are you going to rape or kill someone then drive 15 miles or so to dump the body? There is some risk there.. I dont think you can get a car by the industrial buildings so that would mean her body would have to be carried out to the dirt road to be transferred to where her body was found.

I believe the Flat Rock area part of the outfit was dumped. I thought I ready it was only part of the costume. Possibly it was being saved.. and the Killer had a close call where someone came across it but thought nothing of it got spooked and wanted to dump it.

I have a problem with "The sketch".

1) There is no description of the height, build, skin color. Today as I encountered people I thought how would I describe this person if I had to. Right away the first thing I thought of was height. Are they taller then you? Shorter? Really its not that hard to determine.. Walk into a store a lot of them have a tape measure on the door frame to determine the height if they get robbed. Why?Cause a height description is very valuable.. yet here we dont have one.

same with shape. Stocky? Skinny? Pear shape? Both these can he done from a distance too. If you can give a description of their face couldn't you recall their skin tone? The information given just seems very incomplete.

This was from LE's one and only "Star witness" cause they announced everyone else was drunk or high and the Vendor was the only sober one.

Back in my twenties, I did my far share of drinking. Going to clubs and parties. I had a friend stationed in New Orleans and went to three Mardi Gras. I dont drink anymore cause I developed an allergy to some alcohols so i just quit completely. That said I dont think I was 100% worthless cause I had a few drinks. Not everyone was staggering around. Not everyone is a big partier.. some are social drinkers. Not all people are the same. Some can handle alcohol better then others.

When people drink:
Some get quiet, some become more talkative and flirty, some wanna fight.. some can have a couple to a handful of drinkers and function fully. They might even have given a better description then the one the sober vendor gave.

I'm not just talking out my ass. I bartender for 15 years. I worked a number of large events. Worked large weddings.

My point is.. how accurate can this sketch be if you can not describe height, build, skin tone? I was watching People's court a few weeks ago a girl got held up had a gun in her face and she gave a better description then the vendor.

Someone mention she walked away to get air or to go to the bathroom. So I would guess she planned on coming back?? If I recall this was a BYOB event so possibly she left with someone or came across someone who had more liquor in their car and need help?

Also wasnt it she came across someone she went to school with by the fire and turned down a ride from them? So she had to either still wanted to party more and/or even already had a ride lined up possibly with POI.

Finally, a few week ago people were talking about the Hipster look and how common it was.. this applies to both sexes. I have seen several women with the short "Beiber" type hair and Hipster glasses. Just saying... I still believe POI was a man. Then again everyone during the Washington DC sniper killings thought it was someone white and it turn out to be two black men.

If just a portion...you go with Occam's Razor...the simplest explanation is usually the right one...

Chelsea leaves the party with some guy (MAYBE 2), the drive around, stop at the Flat Rock location and a sexual encounter takes place. We assume that since the costume (or part of costume) was found that she was not agreeable, she may have passed out, she may have wanted to stop and perp took it to rape. I do not think Flat Rock was a purposeful dump site to hide evidence. I think they STOPPED there to rape her or to have an encounter that went bad. They get back into car...perhaps she is still passed out....the perp starts to head back to general area of where she lives...Chelsea either "woke up" or took an opportunity to jump out of car and RAN...perp parks and bails out of car after her...she could be screaming, he catches up to her and she is saying he raped her etc....he panics, and hits her with rock and kills her...runs back to his car and is gone.
The fact that with skeletal remains they say it is homicide before they even get to the coroners tells us she was shot/stabbed and there are obvious holes or knick marks on bones, or she suffered a massive head injury and they can obviously see her skull is fractured. I don't think there was intent to murder, I think he raped her, possibly while she was unconscious, and things started to fall apart from there. It seems rather sloppy to me, like there is not alot of thought...you have 2 crime scenes..where costume was found and where body was found...WHY would he take her back (or at least in the direction of back) to drive a car/truck thru the woods, along the RR tracks, take her out of car and murder her and leave her there? If anything...wouldn't you head further North...away from all the searches and within miles of party? Why would you leave part or all of a costume in Flat Rock? I think because there was no thought of murder and the murder took place in a hurry and spontaneously. JMO

If you drive by the flat rock area its a dumping ground for people's trash. I saw a used mattress in the weeds along the road among other things. who knows all the stuff dumped back in the field off the road. Possibly the killer figured with all the other stuff the costume wouldnt stand out.

As for driving from the flat rock area to the area her body was found. Like I said I looked at the google area map it dont look like you can drive alogn the tracks all the way. Like I stated unlike where her body was found there are not roads along the railroad further east on the same tracks

I agree in that more people at the party have to know who this could be. I know LE said most were drunk and/or high but, everyone drove out of there or where able to get into a car for the ride home. There was a lot of darkness though. People have mentioned being around the bonfire after 2:00 am, which had to emit some light. The last band ended at 12:00 pm according to the invite so stage lights were probably down.

I just check one of the earliest flyers online found on the party invite. It has the most information about the description of the "sketch guy" I can find. It describes him as: white with medium build, medium length dark hair, a thin mustache and facial hair, wearing a black hoodie and black framed glasses. I'm guessing medium build means between 5'6 and 5'9 in height and 160 to 200 pounds. There are males from certain ethnic groups that have difficultly growing a full mustache or facial hair. With dark hair I would wonder of the "sketch guys" full ethnicity. Could he be White and Hispanic (just as an example)?

FindHG, I dont agree 100% with everything and everyone who posts here. I dont expect everything to 100% jump aboard on what I say. Sure you are going to have your "core base". Friends of the band who go to every event. Every band has them. Big or small they follow them everywhere.

As for the Halloween event. My speculation that there were people at that party for the band and some just to party is based on this.
1) Size of the party - Reported got too big. Big Mike states himself more people showed then expected. I dont think anything happened in 3-4 month span changing the status of the band. They didnt become mainstream and release a album which was being played nationally and on a tour with a big well know band. So all the additional people were not their "core fans" expanding.
2) HB, LKZ and others who have been mentioned here have mentioned the party on social media but none mention the band. If you look at their likes on facebook they are into a different kind of music. So if they were at the party why were they there? It dont seem like it was for the music.

3) Party was outside not in a pub. No fences to keep people out. Like I said Im sure most of the 18-25 population in the Monroe area knew about this party. I personally dont do Facebook myself.. but people have Facebook friends of people they dont know cause they are friends with there friends. So easily someone who did not follow the band could have know about this event from someone mentioning there is a party on there facebook. Then all there friends know about the party.. and the process continues.

I read on the Monroe Evening News FB page in the comments early on someone at the party said more people at this party where from downriver area than Monroe because someone in Dundee was having a party at the same time and a lot of Monroe people went there. Also, some people where complaining on the invite they couldn't get into the party. Apparently the party had grown to large and people were turned away.

I had been assuming that the autopsy was only an initial step in the overall scientific examination of the body and associated evidence, and that more specific findings wouldn't be released until the Medical Examiner and State Police Lab finished more time consuming parts of the forensic analysis. Or have we probably already lost hope of finding a cause of death because none was in the autopsy? Does anyone know? I know, I know, I should have been paying closer attention to CSI Miami.

Thats interesting.. I dont understand why the dont continue to give the rest of that information out. Especially at a Presser instead of just holding up a flyer and saying we are looking for this guy.

He said "you know I was at a party that night, too"

LE has not indicated if her body was buried, but if the body was buried that would be an indication of murder. Although, the statement by LE indicating that they felt she was murdered at the site the body was found tells me that there is other evidence to murder.

Locally I did see on TV they said she was partially buried. Not sure how many others news outlets were reporting that. Then again from what I understand is they were moving dirt to fill the swampy area. They found her bound when a truck of theirs got stuck in the mud. So possibly her body remains were covered by dirt they were moving.

I never heard she was buried at all, but that does not mean it is not true. I was more inclined to believe she was possibly covered with debris, the construction equipment may have caused dirt to somewhat cover the body, and then it was uncovered some time after the equipment got stuck. Media/LE reports have not been clear on this, to my knowledge.

I do but I dont have a facebook page. I was in a fantasy football league with some friends and I made one just for that purpose. I have a fake name and a picture of a dog as my photo.. so really none of my information, rl photos.. ect is on it.

As for the party.. like I said I'm sure people downriver went to it. Like I stated earlier every band has it's followers. I'm sure there were possibly people from Ohio there too. I just don't agree with the statement there were more people there from the Downriver area then Monroe county.

Maybe there were more people there to see the band play from Downriver, I dunno based on what? but overall I'm sure general party goers were from Monroe county. Once again as been stated and confirmed by Big Mike the party was larger then expected.

Like I said go check out the many POI mentioned in this thread. LKZ, HB, JBKI their friends.. it dont appear they are into that type of music.

Finally I don't live "near downriver" I live in Downriver. I have lived in three different cities Downriver and currently do.

Agreed, at some point the flyers included more photographs of CB than detailed information about the sketch guy. I believe family and friends held out hope that CB was possibly mixed up against her will in a human trafficking situation, being alive with a changed appearance in some way. Also, many people at the party remember her in costume, wearing a dark auburn wig and green leaf type long shirt with black yoga pants. In contrast, at the time of her disappearance from the party the wig was off, showing her medium length to long blond hair and someone reported her as wearing a dark sweatshirt over the green leaf long shirt. It was never said where the sweatshirt came from. She may have brought it from home or maybe a friend lent it to her because she was cold.

As for the "sketch guy" I've also entertained the idea that he arrived late and kept a low profile. This still doesn't explain how he gained CB's trust enough to give a ride home.

Another important point to me is the time of the party. The media says CB went missing October 26th/2014. However, the party began October 25th/2014 and carried on into October 26th/2014. October 25th at the start of the party was Saturday night, however CB went missing around 3:00 am early Sunday morning. BM (party thrower) was noted as saying in the invite blog that everyone had cleared out around 5:30 AM. I'd wonder what population might see the POI or POIs at this hour. Could they have stopped at a 24 hour 7 eleven or a gas station?

I read somewhere recently the family was holding another fundraiser to help generate funds and give attention the focal change of finding justice for CB in Southgate Michigan. I'm not sure if any other fundraisers have been downriver before. Maybe they are trying to expand the search in that direction since the body has been found north of Newport/ Frenchtown area and part of the costume found in Flatrock. Maybe they are thinking the POI (s) dumped part of the costume on their way to the downriver area.

Note: I'm hoping Southgate is part of the downriver area since I've always thought of it as being so. However, many not from the downriver area (including myself at times) do look at the map and include anything north of Monroe as near to downriver or part of downriver. Which may not be accurate.

You make a good point about and drive out to Newport/Frenchtown area from the downriver area. It's a haul, so to speak. And it's good to hear from a local that many people didn't attend the party. Seems like that may narrow the downriver crowd to people who follow one of the bands, or were joining friends who lived closer to the area. Maybe bunking local for the night.
