Bruck's family released the following statement:

The family of Chelsea Buck would like to thank our family, friends, and community for their continued support. We are thankful for the efforts of the Monroe County Sheriff's Department. We will now let the judicial system move forward with the next steps of this process. We continue to request our privacy during this matter.

A couple of reports I've heard suggest there is no evidence that the murder was premeditated.
It may be tough to prove premeditation unless he told someone he had an issue with CB.

I do wonder about how he got to the party, who was he with did he arrive alone? We know there was a car involved. Did he have one? If not, whose car did he have that night?

Nope ... I don't think so, and Monroe trials are generally short. I think he doesn't have long until he takes up permanent residence. The way he has acted so far, he just might confess to everything and forego a trial. Of course, lawyers will try to talk him out of that. Being a drifter of sorts, this may be one way for him to stay put instead of crashing with whatever girl will have him. He won't need a job or any other responsibilities.

Somewhere on a FB post, a girl said he was a foster child in her home for a time. We haven't heard anything about parents yet. Where are they?

I believe I found his mother.

God forgive me...the apple does not fall far from the tree. IMO. Some role model. :gaah:

I agree with the comments about bail. Where would he even go? Seems he just jumped place to place, had no job, and I keep hearing no car.
Although I wouldn't be surprised if his womenly supporters "felt bad" and let him stay with them seeing as how they showed up today. Plus he's a walking target to some locally I would say.
Gosh I am so interested in all the details of how this night played out. Plus if he was in jail after the party for other charges, did he leave her body there that night or have it hidden somewhere until he got out and then put it in the location where she was found? (Someone posted his latest jail sentence being after the party took place. )
That seems quite risky unless someone else was involved, which doesn't seem to be the case. Was the body put there around the same time the costume was found in Flat Rock to put the focus somewhere else? Had the owners bought the lot and started building anything then? I thought I remember reading that LE said the murder didn't happen at the location the body was found. But again pretty risky. However he has sat for almost two years free of this crime so anything a possible I suppose. [emoji31]

If it was accidental...he would've called 911 ASAP. Not dump CB like trash. Leave her in the elements. Allow her family to suffer. If he was a human being and made a "mistake"...he would have reacted differently. I don't buy it for a minute. He allowed this nightmare to continue. The searches. The pleas to the public. That is inhumane. That is pure evil.

And didn't he take part in some searches?

Maybe DC had kept the costume (in addition to the other personal items he had that belonged to Chelsea) and tossed it when he got out of jail. He just couldn't part with all of the "trophies" and kept some items, just not all. :moo:

OR he only kept what he thought had HIS DNA on them.

Isn't it amazing that we are still sickened by this? That we have not become immune to these acts and monsters.
Because reading "his dna" made me sick. Literally.

Not sure how to link the exact post, but here is his page. It was also shared on the Monroe County Sheriff's Facebook Page.

I hope the phone call to his current girlfriend during which he confessed was recorded. Once a criminal defense attorney is assigned the case, he/she will likely tell DC to keep quiet and might try to have the "confession" thrown out. DC might even change his mind about not wanting the option to bond out of jail - but I don't think the Judge will grant bond, and who would pay to get DC out, anyway? Where would he go? Better off behind bars.

I agree with whoever mentioned up thread about alcohol and/or drugs being responsible for DC's behavior. The court-appointed attorney is going to be looking for a defense for his client; I don't expect the next court appearance to be quick, cut & dried. I anticipate a few twists & turns that might surprise us. :moo:

Can someone do a side-by-side with photos of 'sketch guy' and DAC? :tyou:

I can't do it right now, hopefully someone else can. I see a slight resemblance, but don't think it is him. I think they are two different guys. Remember, the sketch guy was seen talking to her just before she left the party area to the parking lot. "Mr. Clay" said he "met up with her as she left the party was was WALKING ALONG POST RD., not far from the entrance."

A few of his friends said they don't recall him having a car. He was co-dependent on others for where he lived and how he got around.

wonder who helped him.........move the body or let him borrow a car!

http://www.fox2detroit.com/news/local-news/181244142-story

That story gives a brief overview of each of his arrests and time spent in jail:
Copied from article:

"April 9, 2007: Daniel Clay was arrested for the first time, according to court records. He was arrested and later pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana. He got 180 days in jail.

July 13, 2007: that same year, Clay was pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charge of breaking and entering into a vehicle to steal property less than $200. He was sentenced to 93 days in jail.

August 4, 2007: He was charged and later pleaded guilty to a charge of assault and battery and retail fraud. No information about his sentence was provided.

January 28, 2008: Clay was arrested and charged with another misdemeanor. This time he pleaded guilty of breaking and entering a coin box. He received 45 days in jail.

February 9, 2008: Clay pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of larceny between $200 and $1,000. He got 93 days in jail for that guilty plea.

December 18, 2014: once again, Clay was picked up and pleaded guilty to a charge of marijuana possession. He was sentenced to 180 days in jail.

March 30, 2016: Clay's final arrest before his murder charge. Clay pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana and received 60 days in jail.

July 22, 2016: Moving on a tip, the Monroe County Sheriff interviewed Clay. They said Clay knew information about the murder that they had not released to the public."

Seems odd that searching his name prior to today didn't have any of these show up. It seems like any one that you search for has something about their past that shows up from newspapers or court documents. Hmm..

I have seen his face before. Either in MSM or from Big Mike's FB. Somewhere. I have seen him.

If you can watch any of the videos from the party, you may see him. He supposedly hung out a lot around the band, right near the stage. I haven't had time to attempt that yet.

In one of the articles this week after DC was arrested there was an MSM article that stated some of the articles found in DC's backpack, does anyone remember what I'm talking about. I very clearly remember what items were listed- I have a thought that goes along with that topic... I just want to make sure it was from MSM and not social media. Can anyone help me out with that possible link?
