I really want to go but don't know how open it'll be. The other appearances were in a very small room. I wish they'd show it online somewhere but I wouldn't imagine so with it being all day?

Yeah, it would be awesome to have live feed. I'm hoping by tomorrow night the Monroe News will have some good footage out. I want to see about getting a transcript too.

MONROE COUNTY, Mich. - A 27-year-old Newport man is expected to appear in court Wednesday morning for a preliminary hearing in the slaying of Chelsea Bruck and an unrelated home invasion.
Daniel Clay is charged with second-degree murder in connection with Chelsea Brucks death. He is also charged with home invasion and first-degree criminal sexual conduct that allegedly occurred June 9 in Monroe...

Witnesses being asked about whether or not Chelsea had been drinking or using drugs. Not sure I like this line of questioning, but I'm sure it's necessary 
Penny Renee Watkins
Mutual friend of Chelsea's friend Becky. Also went to the party with her sister to meet Becky. Her sister drove so Renee could drink. They arrived around 10pm. She describes the scene as a food truck was setup, big tents, music playing, a ton of people. There were parking attendants in the lot. They went towards the tent, met with Becky, Chelsea and Becky's boyfriend Corey (Cole?). They hung out, Renee hung out with Chelsea since they were the two single girls. They had not hung out much before that night. they drank, walked around, goofed around, hung out by the fire. As they were walking towards one of the "structures"she hit the bridge of her nose as she wasn't paying attention. Renee says Chelsea was distracted when she hit her face, not bleeding, but it hurt really bad. She drank some vodka and seemed ok after that. She wanted to go home when she got hurt. Renee left between 12-12:30, Chelsea had wandered off a bit. Renee had her phone, looked for her for about 5 minutes cus her sister was rushing her, she gave the phone to Becky and walked over to the car, some guys they were flirting with earlier were there, they talked for a few minutes, exchanged numbers, and left (just her and her sister). Later She received a call on her cell phone from Chelsea that she needed a ride home around 2:30am that she needed a ride home. Renee was too drunk to drive and declined. Next Renee describes Chelsea's costume. Chelsea was carrying around the big wine bottle most of the night.

I wish they would clarify whether or not the wine jug actually contained wine. I thought it was colored water. I don't like where this testimony is going. They seem to be focusing on Chelsea being intoxicated.
Defense questioning of Renee
Renee questioned how much Chelsea was drinking form the jug of wine - Renee is clarifying that she was carrying it because it went with her costume and it was nowhere near empty. She was drinking from it before she hit her face, but Renee is saying it was hard to determine the level of intoxication. Chelsea was definitely tipsy, but was walking just fine. Defense asking her to describe the pole in detail, did it make a sound when she struck the pole?
(Defense trying to exhaust the witness IMO, asking her multiple times if she was with Chelsea when she hit the pole) Renee stating again she didn't recall any blood.
Defense repeating the questions prosecution asked. Renee clarifies Chelsea asked for a ride home casually, not with any kind of need or desparation.
